There are lanterns 60 feet above the room, hanging from the ceiling, the flames are shining unusually bright.

Brutrumukk begins to connect the dots. They are in the theater and the lights are on! Knowledge of theaters come to Brutrumukk's mind, and he realizes that there might be a way to call off the Suits of Armor:

To make it seem like they're interrupting a performance. The room needs to be darkened, and someone needs to be on stage, like at the Witchlight's Big Top. If a show is going on, they'll stop their attack! A performance needs to take place!

However, there is a downside to this revelation...If the performance stops, then the armors may go back on the attack again.

Since I got a crit, can Brut discern any other useful information? Perhaps a way to call the suits off or something along those lines?

Brutrumukk can tell that the animated armors are moving about and acting purely by magic.
Whoever created these animated suits of armors to act on complex commands must be a powerful mage at the very least.
He also is able to realize that they are in a theater! Perhaps the location could help them with this situation?

As for figuring out how to call off the suits of armor, that would be an Arcana check.

I will say that because Brut succeeded on the skill challenge, he made it to the exit where the cats fled. That would be 40 feet, while Jub only made it 20 feet into the room.

Is Job only allowed an action this turn or can he move as well?

He could on his turn as well, but...considering he used his action to cast a spell, moving would have allowed the Animated Armor to get an Attack of Opportunity on him.
