May didn't answer David's defense replies as she stuck the key into the lock and opened the door. She led her friends, and David inside as she listened to his explanation about how she had great power within her soul. She asked skeptically, "Right. And if I have 'great power' in my soul, then explain why I'm not able to create...I dunno...a fireball in my hands or something,"
Joan asked "Hey...May? Shouldn't we contact your parents or the police about this?"
May paled at the mention of her parents and said "No! You know how they'll react if they hear about this!"
Beatrice looked around as they walked through the kitchen, until Alucard asked her his question. She thought about it, trying to recall the story he mentioned, and she answered "I think I have...or at least variations of that story," She remembered that the Brotherhood, when asked about the story, tried to either deny it, or tell different variations of the story.
She wouldn't admit it out loud, but the story of this knight, the Brotherhood, and the Lords of Shadow, was sort of her inspiration for her scientific work she did eight years ago. She thought that if she could separate the darkness and light, the good and evil, of human hearts, then society could live without having to go through the pain that the knight went through. How foolish and she was naive then, and now she paid the price.
Beatrice raised her eyebrows at his answer, and she commented before the elevator stopped, "I see. So you know what the Brotherhood is really doing then?" She couldn't help but shudder at the memory of what she had seen. However, she knew that if anyone had seen what she had seen, they would have worse reactions.
The elevator soon stopped and she stepped out. She answered his statement, "Alright, and I'll help in anyway I can,"
She was curious as to who was living in this castle, when it was said that nobody was living in this place now. The Bernhard family had died many years ago after all.
Beatrice mumbled his name under her breath out of interest. She knew right away that Alucard was backwards for the name Dracula, which was somewhat interesting. She answered him "Nice to meet you," She then realized something, and she asked him out of curiosity, "So...pardon me for asking, but what were you doing here? In this castle?" She figured that he most likely was here for his own agenda, and just happened to save her because he just happened to be there when she was attacked.
Beatrice followed him to the elevator and stepped inside, before he pulled the lever, starting the elevator's ascent. Beatrice did find the elevator's presence in an old castle to be strange indeed. However, that was menial compared to the questions she had in regards to the Brotherhood, their actions, and the man who was helping her right now. She commented, trying to make small talk, since the elevator ride seemed to be taking a long time "You still haven't answered my question from earlier...I'm Beatrice,"
She didn't want to give her last name, just in case he knew her friend Utterson, or her ex-fiance, Edmund Carew.
Beatrice blinked at his warning and raised an eyebrow. She was curious as to how he knew about the monsters, and why the monsters would be close to the throne room in the first place. When he told her that he would lead her to a safer place, she answered "Oh! Al-Alright. Thank you. Please lead the way,"
She could hear Hyde hiss in her ear, warning Beatrice not to trust Alucard so lightly. Beatrice tried to ignore Hyde, knowing that if this man in front of her wanted to kill her, he probably would've done the deed by now. Besides, in this situation, she knew that she would need whatever help she can get.
"Behind you, you fool!"
Dr. Jekyll heard Hyde's voice and she turned around to see a monster behind her and she couldn't do anything as it raised its claws towards her...only to suddenly be sliced in half. She looked to see who was responsible as the now monstrous corpse fell to the ground. She looked at the stranger warily, as he stood before her, his golden eyes unnerved her slightly. She could hear Hyde speak to her again,
"It's him...He's a source of this darkness..."
Dr. Jekyll took a couple steps backwards as she kept her eyes on him. She suspected that he was part of the Brotherhood of Light. She asked warily, "Who...Who are you?"
Cool. ^^
OK, that does sound like a great weapon to go with.
As long as Crissaegrim doesn't allow for God modding, I say go with Crissaegrim for the weapon.
