Netflix is to blame for the sudden resurgence of my animu phase. >:c It was supposed to be background noise, but then I went and got invested... twice in a row.

What techniques do you use to open these "pickle jars"? Or is it just raw pickle jar opening strength? (not to be confused with regular strength)

@Ebonsquire She's currently setting up some lore stuff, so the OOC isn't exactly finished yet.

I don't think she expected this many people in this short amount of time, so it's been a hustle to get everything done as quickly as we can. Not sure when to expect it, but I think we're almost done with the lore bits, just need a few more.

Don't take my word for it, but I think a good estimate is either tomorrow or Thursday. She's currently sleepin' (cause she's a loser who doesn't live in America wow) so she'll say for certain some time tomorrow. Hold tight, and keep coming up with those character ideas!

If things don't turn out fast enough, she might be tempted to put up a CS here, but don't hold her to that because that's just what I'm saying. She hasn't officially stated anything of that nature (*screams* and i don't like putting words in people's mouths so aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa)

So, Cannibals Anonymous?

"I've become strictly vegetarian—"

"Alfred, the definition of vegetarian is supposed to be interchangeable with herbivore. You don't eat plants, you eat animals."

That being said, some of the Unseelie Faeries drink blood. Others just vampirically feed on negative human emotions. So if you like the idea of a vampire-type faerie, there is your outlet. #IsAFaerieLoreNerd

*gasp*

Nerd.
@HalfOfLancelot Well who doesn't love T. Swift. Don't hide that, her starshine must be basked in.

You're right. I must accept my T Swift love. Gotta shake it off New Romantics [insert more song titles and then goes back to listen to the 1987 album *cough*]

Am not! I am incredibly straight *angrily snorts protein powder mixed with puRE POWDERED TESTOSTERONE HERRRGGGGG*

...as long as you don't count my shrine to Chris Hemsworth. That's uh...bro love. Yeah. Really intense bro love. #offendedthatyou'reoffended

Oh of course. Bros definitely have bro shrines for their bros. *smile-grimaces at his Chris Evans shrine* It's a bro thing. *whispers* bro
the tumblr line gave me a tickle.

I like it, though. Nice and simple concept.

And because you said faeries are allowed to sparkle. That's the real selling point.

You're so gay. It's unbelievable how gay you are.

So gay *hides all his homosexual male characters* The gayness is appalling *hides his love for Taylor swift and adele* I'm amazed at how homosexual you are *deletes all the history between now and the beginning of time to erase all the smutty stucky and Destiel he's read* so gay so gay. Unbelievable gay. #offended
Who is this person even.

What is this even.

*whispers* amaze that's what.

Waow. Interested.
*whispers* Arthur would have been outraged, but not enough to exile Jack. He'd probably shove him in rank to help get the job done, though. Aaaa. Maybe offered him a job as a knight, though it's up to you if Jack refused and went on his way (I can certainly see that as the most likely outcome).

Also need a small blurb of his time in the present when Mystvale fell and he ventured with the rest into a different world.

Other than those two things he looks pretty gooood
I hate it when people tell me not to post in the OOC because I spam. I don't conciser chatting spam. But there it is. I just hate being singled out and booted. It makes me feel awful. Am I really that annoying to have around? And it really makes me not want to continue to post IC.

I love, love, love to chat with other people in the roleplay about anything and everything. I don't see a purpose for an Out of Character thread if the topics only ever meant to be about the Roleplay. I mean, there's a time and place for everything and when things are supposed to get down to business wouldn't you think the GM would alert people of that? And wouldn't you think said GM would consider and assume his/her players are mature enough to get serious and back on track when needed?

I dunno. I don't join any RP that's ever strict with their OOC rules because without a rapport between players, all we're doing is throwing words at each other. If we don't care about the person behind the character, why should we care about the character in the first place? Or the setting? Or the plot?

I for one am more inclined to drop an RP without a word (because we all do it) and just disappear if no one's talking in the OOC and no one's attempting to befriend each other. If I don't enjoy the people in the RP, regardless of how enraptured I am with the plot or the characters, then I have nothing tying me to the RP itself. This is why an active OOC = an active IC about 90% of the time (I'm pulling that statistic out of my ass, but a majority of the time, it's pretty true, isn't it?).

But, yeah, I find this a big issue and it's not really something I normally see, but I do see it on occasion. Like perusing through Int. Checks and OOCs and seeing those rules specifically for OOC chatter. I nope the fuck out the moment I see it because I'm not going to have fun just talking about what we're doing in the IC. If I wanted to know what's going on, I'd read all the posts and get the general gist from there. That's a barrier for me. I don't get to show people who I am beyond my writing style and vice versa. There's a block there that we aren't allowed to traverse and I think it really hurts RPs unless people actively try to communicate outside of the forum's OOC.

But the problem with putting up a chatzy or giving skype info out is, well, time zones for one, but it also sucks the life out of the OOC if that's the only place people are allowed to discuss anything beyond the roleplay. If that were me, you know, I'd just take any and all discussion, RP, off-topic, spam, all of it and just translate it over to the chat system. What's the use of the OOC if I can just talk to people in real time on skype? Thus, the RP looks dead, keeps people from joining, especially if others drop out which that's pretty much a guarantee and is a good way to kill your roleplay.

So, yeah, I never agree with anyone who makes an effort to sanction the OOC to only Roleplay discussion. It's a quick way to derail interest, keep people distanced from each other, etc. In the beginnings of a roleplay, with strangers especially, I default to a formal type of writing that's very detached until I get comfortable. If I'm not allowed that deflation from 'srs rp talkz' to 'ludicrous arguments about why bananas are berries' then I have no reason to attach myself to the RP and cultivate my interest. I don't know these people beyond 'srs rp talkz' (though I'm not talking about gimme your life story, just gimme the person beyond the writer)

Ludicrous arguments about why bananas are berries aside, I'm really just talking about a general rapport rather than gif spamming threads and screaming 100% of the time. I'm more so talking about getting to know your other roleplayers beyond their character and their place in the plot. What is a roleplay without a strong player base to hold it up? though i dont condone actually trolling and spamming your other rp partners because that's not cool man stay within the bounds of RPGs rules you know?

also sorry if i misinterpreted your post i just took what i thought you were talking about and ran with it haha >> << er
