Hm, I won't do much with the guards. They'll all just be cannon fodder. Should I wait to see who else wants to join the rescue group?

Marianne's spells aren't exactly like true lightning bolts, otherwise she'd die just from casting it once for any number of reasons. xD So, think of it more as magic with the lightning element to it.
