Professor Bonsai

Bonsai raised his brow when Orez began explaining his motivation. Kosei was certainly in need of help, but these younger trainers didn't have a whole lot of hope at their current level.
"I'm glad you already caught one, the starter Pokemon for Kosei trainers haven't come in just yet." Bonsai said relieved that he wouldn't have to ask this new trainer to wait a few days. "But a trainer card...Let me get to work on that." He said typing on the computer at his desk. Moments later a small flash came from the computer as he took Orez's picture. After going to the back room to print what he had on the screen. He returned with a small laminated card with a picture of Orez on the front.
"Alright, you're all registered. Just take this Pokedex and these five Pokeballs." Professor Bonsai said as he placed the items on his desk.

Ian tried to split his attention between Rylen's imminent battle and his egg hatching. He didn't know how long this hatching was supposed to take, but he knew it was time. He quickly found a good place in the grass to sit down and watch his egg hatch. Ian now watched with rapt attention as with every shake another crack appeared or widened. He had always thought it was supposed to only take seconds, but this Sneasel seemed to be taking its time.
Finally the egg burst open with a flash of light so bright that Ian had to shield his eyes. Once he opened them again there was a Sneasel standing on top of the incubator with bits of blue egg shell scattered around. The Sneasel looked him right in the eyes before yawning and approaching him. Given the smaller feather on its head, it was clearly a female.
"Hello." Ian said cautiously as he crouched down in front of the blue Pokemon. She sniffed his hand for a moment before seemingly recognizing the scent. She pointed her claw at his face and he got closer to see what she wanted...and immediately regretted it. Sneasel pinched his nose, hard, for a few seconds before releasing it and snickering to itself. Ian rubbed his sore nose gingerly and reached out to pet the amused Pokemon. She accepted the rub on the head and even leaned into it slightly. Ian retrieved a Pokeball and caught Sneasel while he pet her. After the ball rocked three times it stopped. Ian nodded to the ball and let Sneasel back out.
Oh wow, I meant to post hours ago. Woops.

Bonsai looked at the young man on the other side of the glass door and hit a button causing the doors to slide open. "I'm sorry, we just had that door fixed. A few young trainers like yourself went a bit...far during a battle earlier." He said scratching the back of his head.
"So...uh, what's your name? I don't think I recognize you." He said flipping through the trainer cards that weren't claimed. "Even if I don't have you here it only takes a few moments to get a Trainer card printed up. I still have a few Pokedexes left over as well." Bonsai said as he opene up a drawer in his desk and retrieved a spare Pokedex.
@MissFortune I'm sure they'll be back soon. That does suck though.
Didn't realize I'd have to be Professor Bonsai again so early. Give me a little bit to write something up.

@fer1323 Well trust me, we'll all get that chance. It probably won't be something we set out to do any time soon though. (Trust me, once Noble comes out of the shadows it'll be a "good" time)
