And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

Should have been writing posts. Took part in D&D shenaniganry instead. Got to fix that tomorrow.

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

You may want to change the word "temple" in your post. After all, that is not the location the party is aiming for.
@Lucius Cypher
It doesn't? You'll probably want to inform Mahz about it, perhaps they can update it in some way. What seems to be the problem?
The newly met villagers seemed to grasp the situation quite quickly, taking up arms as instructed. The younger folk, excluding the child, chose to take the scimitars, while the older man took the boys sling as his own weapon. The boy looked annoyed as his toy was taken away, but didn't make a sound. Looking at the sling in the old man's hand, it clearly was just a toy... but with some luck it could still prove useful.

"We goin'?" Trear asked and received a few nods from the villagers. She proceeded to peek out of the exit and pulled her head back. "It's clear. Gogogo", she whispered and dashed behind the corner. The keep wasn't that far... with any luck they would be able to reach it without being spotted. With Trear and Brannor in the lead, the group of caravan guards/passengers with the townsfolk in tow moved through the streets, avoiding the occasional encounter with the enemy. These encounters seemed to still be rather spread out... maybe there were only few raiders? Or perhaps they were just spread out massively.

In the end, they made it to the base of the hill where the keep stood. The dragon was still circling above, creating a certain ominous and terrifying feeling that followed when you knew you saw a creature that could simply destroy you if it cared enough to recognise your presence. Luckily enough, the dragon had not turned it's eye towards the people. On the pathway to the keep, a person was going through several bodies, both kobold and humanoid alike. It seemed they were in a hurry, with their movements being quite jerky and rushed, but anything else was hard to tell from this distance.

Did I manage to miss it? I am sorry. I blame the page change.
@The Harbinger of Ferocity@Ryonara
If you will excuse me, I believe you two should post soon.
@dragonmancer I see.

Well, I'll contact the people that asked to join earlier.
@dragonmancer
Just checking if you are still interested in the game. There won't be too much waiting any more, the keep is close.
Once more the adventurers were approaching the keep, trying to remain undetected. The family followed behind, the parents doing their best to shush the children who occasionally wanted to ask a question at exactly the wrong moment, but luckily not one group of hostiles did notice this. Instead, as they had to dash through a door to get out of view of one of those big lizards they had seen from further away earlier, they noticed some scared faces staring back at them from the house. There were four of them... three adults and a child... three males. A boy, a younger and an older man.

At first it looked like they would attack them, but as soon as they noticed Linan and Cuth dashing in after the adventurers, they relaxed. "Swifts", the woman whispered, calming down the two older men. "Almost stabbed you we did", the not quite young but not that old man remarked and placed his weapon (it looked like a skinning knife) back onto his belt. "Why are you here... and who are these?" he continued after a while with a puzzled look on his face.

Linan looked back and forth between Cuth and the adventurers, her husband reacted to this by rubbing his forehead with his healthy hand. "Not really the time to explain. We must reach the keep soon, who knows when Nighthill has to close the gates", was his reply. That being said, he glanced at the four adventurers and the swiftness of that move made quite clear what he wanted. It was to know whether they could afford to take these people with them... they were almost there by now, but these people and critters, whatever they were after, were also gathering in higher numbers.
Looks like everyone has rolled! I'll post tomorrow, I've been showing freshmen how the University works around here today and will have more of that tomorrow, luckily it shouldn't last quite as long.
