And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

Should have been writing posts. Took part in D&D shenaniganry instead. Got to fix that tomorrow.

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

Sounds interesting :)

Well well, that would be three then. I'll start drafting up a more detailed description (if needed) and a character sheet base (desperately needed). Also I've got to work on some lore, but since I can keep most of it behind the scenes I trust to have the OOC up in a day or so.
Sounds interesting. Count me in!

Good to see we have gained another member for our little scenario! With you on board, we'll only need one more player to reach the minimum of what I was aiming for.

Ah, nothing like the joy of doing nothing. It most certainly is something each and every one of us enjoys every now and then.
No K9s. Vamps kill them insantly, they have no effect on werewolves, they get turned it they chow on zombies, golems... You get the idea, and the fae will just charm them.

Ah, it is no combat dog. It's there to help him during his downtime. I just thought to ask, since with him returning to active duty they might want to take it from him.
<Snipped quote by Hekazu>

Since these are SWAT, they do use military equiptment, so that might work. Could have him be ex-military who joined the police force and is now in the team.

Possibly. The alternative is that the combat veteran was called from his home to join thanks to his previous achievements on the battlefield and only now joining the police. That was my vision of it. He can keep his therapy dog, yes?
@Lord of Evil
Glad to hear you are interested! And as I've already said, if you've got any questions feel free to ask! It's a shame to hear that the other games are in such a state though.
I just might, depending whether the setting will be a good fit for my current soldier characters. Point being that they are soldiers, so them suddenly being a part of more of a police force could spring interesting moral arguments between characters. Sounds like a good fit for any of the lads I use for ECAS (Esoteric Counter-Assault Squad) though.
Both of the sides grunted while pushing against the door, the people outside intent on breaching the keep once more and the ones on the inside doing all they could to not let this happen. The door slowly but surely pushed inward and at it's worst point the gap between the doors was almost wide enough to swing a blade through, but then something odd happened: The power on the other side of the door lessened for a moment. It returned soon, but in that time our heroes had already pushed the doors back near to their starting point.

"This one is done, Castellan", Lake chimed in from the left side, having fixed his share of the door. The Wizard bit his lip and let some magical energy swirl around his hand. He could join in on the pushing with greater might, but on the other hand that would cost him... he might still need his powers this night. The sparks retreated, and Lake moved to observe the final moments of Parum's repairs.

As soon as Escobert and Parum had finished with their last one, a few of the guardsmen carried heavy bars and did their best to slide one of them them into place on the door. As soon as it was in place, the job of the defending side became much easier. "A'ight, finishin' touches on tha barricade..." was all that Escobert had to say when the guards were already on the move. The room was bustling with people now and given it's size it wasn't exactly a comfortable place. "Guards, make way! We are leaving!" Escobert announced, letting the castle guard take care of the situation from now on.

As soon as the group had made it out of the room, Mr. Lake excused himself and headed back into the keep. "Ya take care now!" Escobert yelled after them before addressing the temporary soldier's of the governor: "Well 'en, I would recommend ya get sum rest now too. I'll need ta get tha report as to how dem nasties actually got in in tha first place. I trust we'll see each other soon enough."
Movin' up in the world! (Bump)
@Ryonara Very well, I'll try to get something done by tomorrow. I still have some background things remaining to take care of.
@Ryonara I, personally, would love to see Parum's thoughts on the assault, but it is not like she could stop the repairs in order to keep the enemy from breaching the door... I would like to ask if you want to post something into this or if I should just go on to the resolution phase of this contested check?
