Just ran a stale yellow. Nobody on this website is doing it like me, sticking it to the man like me, blazing a trail against tyranny like me. the only thing revolutionary about you is your rhetoric

Takeru Segawa is the type of man they made myths out of. Intensely privileged to be able to say I watched him burn so bright as he did before going out with a win. I’ll miss you, hero.

Shinjiro Karasawa

"Yeah, yeah, we're movin'! Cool your jets, Tachibana!" he called back to the retreating twintailed figure with far less trepidation and care than was thought to be customary to most who had only just met a Level 5. Watching her hair dance in the breeze behind her like the flame it resembled, he let out a snort. They couldn't be that late, right?

He checked his watch.

The digits 5 and 9 immediately stood out, and his purple eyes widened.

"Oh shit, she ain't kiddin'! Hat-chan, we better h u s t l e! I'll catch your name at the assembly!" he crowed, before bursting off into a run towards the--

He skidded to a stop at a conveniently placed map nearby. He didn't know this school's geography yet... There!

Okay! Back to running!

The dead sprint continued as if it had never stopped. "Down the left corridor after this one, Hat-chaaaaan!" he called helpfully back at the shrinking figure, even as he sped down the walkway, zipping past the first building.

That same blaring tone sounded, evenly drowning out the blonde part-timer's name with aplomb. His grimace became a full-blown scowl as he tried to peer over the crowd. Whichever asshat driver was pulling this shit...

"Again, seriously?" he commented irately, looking around in open irritation. Somebody needed to stop humping their damn steering wheel on the road. Was this gonna be a thing? Was this seriously going to keep happening?

Only one way to find out.

Once was happenstance.
Twice was coincidence.
Three...

"One more time?" he asked, leeeeeaning in really close, ear-first. He'd have her name if it killed him.
Shinjiro gonna be his TA at this rate

Cold, impassive black met warm, amiable grey, and teenaged boy nodded in response. Looked like he'd pulled out exactly what she was looking for, after all.

"No problem."

Closing the box up, he shoved it back into its spot on the shelf, loosing a very small grunt, more a hnh, of exertion in doing so. Scooping up his own pieces, he glanced around the room for any more interesting-looking piles. While he did mention having everything he needed with the screen's addition to the contents of his looting, it would also behoove him to have a backup or two, right? Redundancy wasn't always a detriment, especially when it meant options.

Additionally.

He blinked, looking over to the short-haired gunslinger he'd moments ago subjected to his own breed of awkwardity and half an internal monologue. He ought to do right by her as well. Especially since she'd been so forthright with him about him practically needing to be walked through this class step-by-step. It was the least he could do.

"What about you, Cian? Anything you need help finding?"

Granted, phrasing it like that made it sound more like an obligation to repay a debt than an honest desire to help out...

His sister seemed to have gotten the "straightforward" genes as well as the "height" genes in his family.
Karasawa Shinjiro

"Yeah, that's it. Karasawa Shinjiro." he repeated staunchly, rising back to his full height with folded arms as he'd formerly been leaning in a bit when telling Hat-chan his name. You know, leave a lasting impression and all that. Immediately after, however, he found himself leaning back in and listening for her response. A shame, he'd kinda taken a liking to calling her "Hat-cha--"

HOOOOONK

"GET OFF THE FUCKIN' ROAD!"
someone in traffic called out to the vehicle in front of them, just outside the school gates.

Train of thought and ability to hear her response both blasted into oblivion by the loud burst of sound, he grimaced. That was some terrible timing...

"Yeah, sorry, didn't catch that. You're..."

I'm more tha just me--

okay yeah i guess that's true

As always, she seemed to be intent on staring a hole straight through him, arms folded and expectant and pushing her chest up slightly. An imposing sight, yet hour by hour he felt more and more comfortable with it, malleable and adaptive under her piercing gaze. Setting his pieces and bits down onto a free space on the shelf, he turned back to the box he'd been rummaging through previously.

"Binoculars? Okay, then they aren't here either." he noted, shoving the box back into it's shelf and pulling out the one beside it. Opening it up, he leaned back quickly to avoid the now-expected cloud of dust that burst forth from within, and waved it away with an arm where a moment before had been his nose. Peering in once the air had been sufficiently cleared, he began to dig.

Wires upon wires inhabited this box, a tangled mess of cords of every size, color, and purpose you could name.

...Even decorative lights? Really?

Nonetheless, between them and the LEDs scattered about he was almost ready to writ the box off, until he felt something smooth, plastic-y, and round within. Could it be?

He fished the object out into the light.

Caught within a mess of cord was a sturdy old pair of binoculars, as requested.

"There we are." he said, getting to work on untangling the thing. "Anything else?"
