Hexaflexagon (Concept)
In geometry, flexagons are flat models, usually constructed by folding strips of paper, that can be flexed or folded in certain ways to reveal faces besides the two that were originally on the back and front.

Hexaflexagon (Person?)
Academic who somehow got conned into working for the Government. Been role-playing both on forums and TTRPGs for close to twenty years at this point. I'm like 99% retired from active RPing on the Guild, but I still like to poke my head onto here once in a while to make sure that I didn't leave the lights on.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; Or close the wall up with our English dead.

Oh, I can give this a whirl.
Krauxis the Eldritch abominations have not consumed you yet!

I'm alive and still here! Or at least I hope I'm still alive and I'm not Bruce Willis in a M. Night Shyamalan film.
Well I think we are still all here. It's just we are waiting for SG who has not posted on the site in around 3 weeks. So prospects are not high.

Edit: Correction 2 months not three weeks.

I shall continue to twiddle about the wasteland searching for survivors it seems.
I believe you are correct madam.

Yessssh. Well I'm about ready to finish paying for my own classes that are approaching. I am not looking forward to getting back to school after taking a semester off. You guys make me remember all the good about it. -sarcasm- :3

Oh School is so much fun. You know what they say, "It was the worst of times, it was... still the worst of times." XD

And Futen has returned to go all Shonen action hero with his level of stupidity and self sacrifice on Fright with operation exploding hugs! Hopefully E.G can pull through and make it the best exploding hug. lol
Futen was observing standing a few inches off from the battle. His sword up and raised in a defensive position he was watching, watching for holes and openings he was doing what he did best. He was trying to see how the ticked, and when holes were being formed. It was hard to do of course at the moment his head was pounding and he was angry, angry at the wonder twins and their impeccable timing, angry at the Romanians who were forcing him down a path that he wasn't sure he wanted to go down, angry at himself for not being able to save his friends, angry because they took away his friends. Anger clouded the vision and the brain and he tried to concentrate as he watched Bre and Fox seemed to at least be dealing with Fury okay. But Freight keep on moving in and interrupting them, she had to be occupied for a little bit. He caught a flicker with his eyes and he saw Fright appear back in sight again she was fast, her scythe was raised in an upward positon and it began to glow he turned his head and saw where she was aiming at E.G still by Ice. A barrier couldn't go up fast enough, and Futen didn't think Ice would appreciate getting hit again. And so he broke into a sprint running directly across as the crow flies, slipping through the battle against Fury dodging a wayward sword stroke as he did, Fright was bringing down her scythe as he got in the path. His coat was reinforced it could take some of the damage, or at least it was designed to at least. Turning so his back was facing the blast letting the protective bits take most of the blunt damage he felt a rush of wind come his way and then the cut of acids and glass against his skin. Gritting his teeth he stood there looking at E.G and Ice with an expression of [/I]"well yes I'm a big idiot hero".[/I] As the blast resided and he heard Fright cackle he let out a breath the jacket took most of the blow but his back felt as if he had just been aggressively rubbed against sandpaper and cut running from behind his left ear around to the eye hurt just a little bit more. But it was nothing too terrible, he would live through it at least for now.

He was still thinking, calculating, planning in his head as he turned around and raised his sword watching Fright in the distance seemingly flickering in and out of existence as she raised her sword again for another gust of hellish wind. His mind went back to the last fight, when E.G had been able to hit her it was with a spell, it was instantaneous, they both show grand reaction times but they could still mess up they were still human. He had to make sure first and so he did something that from a bystander point of view would be suicidal he chucked his sword spear style down range and Fright. Fright who was in the middle of charging her attack broke out of it and with a flick of her wrist deflected the sword as it fly away. It was as he had thought she had a way superior than normal reaction time but it did still take her a moment, a moment to register. A moment was all one needed... But he was going to need to go faster..... Smiling he had an idea as he called out to the crazy woman with the scythe

"Oh is that all you got? Don't want to sound misogynistic here or anything... but you hit like a girl!" With the grin of a madman he took off his jacket it was already torn to shreds but the thick weighted material had been slowing him down anyway it vanished it into a cloud of data. Now he only had a simple Sarashi covering his upper body the cuts that he had just taken shining brightly on his skin digital pixels leaking away. He was still too slow maybe if his head was clear or he was not injured he might of been able to just run at her. But there was always other options. Quickly he brought up his radial menu. Fright was standing perplexed and amused as he did so, wondering what he was about to do. As he brought up his summoning command he also quickly typed a message out to E.G that said simply "I need a shield, as highly charged and unstable as you can make it without it collapsing immediately. Tiny, maybe somewhere discrete like the palm of my hand or the small of my back in size. You will know when to collapse it." There was a reason shield were kept at low levels to absorb more simple attacks. The bigger and more powerful the shield the greater the chance of the summoner losing control and creating a fireball of death within anything close to the person it is casted on. Not a problem for them really they might get a few minor burns but anyone next to them well that was a whole other painful situation, not enough to kill but defiantly enough to knock out.

Futen finished entering the summoning prompt moments later and a bright light appeared next to him taking form and shape. Data transforming and molding until in front of him stood his newly issued GVN motorcycle from last time. He smiled as jumped on and almost instantaneously floored the accelerator heading with ramming speed at Fright. He had a huge grin on his face as Fright eyes widen with shock she vanished and reappeared a few feet to the right charging another attack. Adjusting his course he pushed the bike faster. Fright released her attack this wind glowed orange and red with the flecks of molten glass and embers raced at him pressing his body as flat against the bike as he could trying to use at as a shield. He still felt the burn, the burn and the pain and fought the urge to pull out, fought the urge to scream. He was to be the stone unflinching and never changing its course. As he neared her she lashed out with the scythe and hit a tire with the resulting blast, popping it and sending Futen flying forward off the bike like a missile straight at her. She raised her scythe swinging it to slice him like cheap deli meat while he was in the air. He curled into a ball pressing his body close as the blade neared his head. Because of this it missed his neck and came down instead to the right landing firmly in his forearm. His body jerked as he landed the blade digging deeper in.

Fright laughed as she looked down at the boy below her covered in cuts and slashes her scythe one movement away from ripping his right arm in half. But why was he smiling, why was he smiling?! Both of his hands grasped the long pole of the scythe as he pulled himself upward and forward feeling a sick pop as the blade tore through skin and muscle and popped out till he was standing leaving a nasty looking gash in his arm right where the bicep and tricep connected..The Blade was behind him and he was about two inches away from Fright now. Closing in her dropped his hold on the scythe and wrapped both his arms around her in a tight bear hug. He couldn't give her any means of escaping, and he better finish this before he passed out from the blood loss. He whispered in her ear two words. "You Lose......"

"E.G BLOW IT!" And he braced himself as he felt the small shield begin to ripple and the energy expand outward and he waited for the boom. He had faith in E.G that he did not just let himself get stabbed for no good reason.
The Velvet Room

Masato eyes opened and she was far away from any dorm room or monsters. She was back in the elevator in the middle of nowhere slowly ascending as if never having moved from the last time she had ventured there. She was in a plush cushioned chair that seemed to embrace and caresses her taking all her worries away. She did not feel tired anymore more just distant like she had the other times she had arrived as if she was moving through water. Across from her at a table but an impeccably sinister grin plastered to his face and with the long crooked nose that resembled the beak of some demented bird was the small bald man that was becoming a regular visitor in the depths of her brain. Igor was the name he had given to himself and standing next to him statuesque, a living example of perfection in motion the women in the blue elevators attendant's outfit her pale yellow eyes looking out taking everything in with clarity and detail adsorbing every moment. The old man let out a small chuckle that came somewhere deep inside nasally, witch-like but somehow filled with warmth. He spoke to her in a gentle and clear voice.

"It's so nice to see you again." He told Masato the smile to his voice. His hands tented together and raised on the table he peered at her from across the table as one would some sort of scientific experiment watching to see what developed.

"I'm I dead?" Masato asked a small tinge of fear in her voice as she spoke. That was the only real logical reason for all of this right? She last remembered the cold and the dark drawing her in and whisking her away. It always fight like they said dying felt like. Igor looked at her with a tilt of his head before letting out another laugh as he shook his head.

"Of course you are not dead my guest. Death.... is a place even beyond the reaches of The Velvet Room. You became unconscious after awakening to your "Power". It's nothing to worry about, though. So just relax. And...I see it was Orpheus who heeded your calling. Fascinating, your story only gets more and more interesting as things progress my dear. Orpheus, master of strings persona of the Fool. A very rare circumstance indeed/."

"Persona?" Masato asked the word sounding vaguely familiar but she could not place the meaning to it and thinking about it made her head hurt.

"Ah yes forgive me I have not explained the full contents of our contract yet have I? A persona is the power you summoned on the roof, an inner manifestation of your psyche, the very fundamental aspects that make up your soul. It's similar to a protective mask that we all wear. We all have many faces we show to the world, and our Persona is but one of many. But you do not wear one mask my dear. You are the fool, the zero, the beginning of all things and hence you are no one, but you are everyone." He explained as he made a small gesture with his hand and a small card materialized out of thin air on it a small picture of a jester laughing very close to a cliff, accompanied with a dog at his heels. The Fool.

"But, I don't understand. What do you mean that I'm everyone?" She asked him as picked the card up in her hand which felt pleasantly warm in her palm. She looked it over and turned it about as if it had some secretes to share.

"You have the talent, the innate and very special ability to control Persona's that do not belong to the Arcana of the Fool. A power which grows as you develop your social links - your emotional ties with others. Humanity has an old saying "No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main." turns out this is not far from the truth." He told her as he made another motion was his hands and the card in her hand vanished in a splash of light. She looked up at him inquisitively from what she gathered the Persona user her in that case, develops their Social Links. Friendships, relationships, and the like. The closer you get to people, the more powerful your Persona becomes. For some strange reason she believed that considering her history with friends this idea of Social Links might not go too well for her. But none the less she at least begin to understand what had happened on the roof at least.

"But, I fear that I have kept you here for too long. But before I do let me leave you with some parting words. Remember my guest Memento Mori..For though life is merely a journey to the grave, it must not be undertaken without hope. Only then will a traveler's story live on, treasured by those who bid him farewell." And with that lhe velet room faded from view as somewhere up ahead a long and distant light came fast towards her. And when her eyes opened again and she felt as if she had just awkoen from a long and unpleasant dream and that she would turn over and she would be back in her own room somewhere. But it did not look like her house, the ceiling was odd; it was sterile white with fluorescent light fixture long and horizontal that ran down the length. It was around that time that she began to remembered what had happened and coming ot the conclusion that it was not all a bad dream. She tried to get up out of the bed but her body felt heavy and responded sluggishly and she just finally gave up throwing her head back against the pillows. Turning to the side it was then that she realized she was not alone in the room and Yoromatsu had been sitting in the chair next to her an almost impassive look on his face.

"Ah, you're awake. Very good." His voice echoed out and for a moment Masato felt very Self-consciousness. How long had he been sitting there? How long had she been moving about and non noticed him. Was she really that unaware? Why was he here? And why was his name on the contract that Igor had? All these thoughts and more flew at her head each trying to take priority. All she wanted to do at the moment was hide under the covers and let it all blow away slowly fade away. But that would make her look more crazy... She was damned if she did and damned f she didn't. So gathering her own inner resolve she cleared her through and looked at him speaking as articulate as possible trying not to ramble.

"Uhhhh......ummmm.... Thanks." Yeah she was the epitome of grace under pressure.

And I have returned... I'll try to get a post up tonight.

Or you could be Lennon's evil clone. The World may never know.
The iron odor of blood. Ice caressed her spine as the great north wind himself descended upon her. Lost, so small amid the darkness that surrounded her threatening to consume her. She heard the sound of thousands of voices as the darkness seemed to spin around her caught in a massive whirlpool of twilight. The voices the sound of humans crying out in agony the sound of despair and agony all of them craving for the sweet release of nothingness for an end to their suffering. The darkness called back to them whispering sweet lullabies into the ears of the dammed. The red fire found the pathways of synapses and nerves leading upwards to the brain. Pain, pain on a scale unimaginable beyond any name of which pain was given. The only action she could perform was wanting it stop, needing it to stop. In response somewhere far away from as if separated by some kind of large unfathomable ocean a roar that cut through the darkness and made the world shake around her as she slipped further into the dark floating away.

Home.... What was home to Masako? Was it the small house hidden among the fields of rice and the quiet forest away from the bustle of urban centers where the sound of a gentle feminine voice that made her feel warm and safe? Was it the fancy highrise apartment building that Her father and her dwelled within inside with the big TV and the bedroom that felt too big and too empty at times? Was it her grandparents house and the smell of home cooked meals and smiling faces that only seemed to care on a level she was not normally accustomed to? Was it her friends that she had once known scattered about the country distant faces and memories happy and sad, always sad at the end the goodbyes were always the hardest. No, none of these were home they all had been taken away from her before she could feel comfortable enough to call it such. Having a home meant that it could be taken away and she was not ready to have something else taken away... But maybe having a home right now would of felt nice the warmth and the sense of security. There was none of that just empty nothingness as she drifted through the void and everything felt cold almost cold enough to make her cry. Slowly though a light broke through the darkness, a light that embraced her and took her away from the void if at least temporarily. Voices, broke through the silence as reality came back into focus.

She was still standing and her right hand was outstretched and bunched together into an angry fist. The pain raced through her body as she realized her fingernails had been digging hard into her palm. Her breathing was heavy as if she had just run an entire marathon but how could that have been she did not move. It was then that she realized the silence. The only sound was her breath as if everyone else, everything else was looking at something of great excitement or horror. She looked away from her hand remebering quickly about the creature prepared to fight again and it was at that moment that she was taken aback.

It looked right out of a war movie, remnants of dark oozing shadow was cast about haphazardly in large splashes and poodles like the soulless ichor of a long dead god. At the center of it all was the creature held aloft by the thing that had come forth from inside. The creature which only moments before had been threateningly hissing and roaring its challenge at the group was now lifted by the shattered remnants of its mask limp and utterly lifeless. The other monster the one that she had seemingly brought forth from nowhere held its still twitching frame the blade in its other hand dripping in a black ooze like substance, the discarded limbs of the creature thrown about like chew toys to a great beast. It held on as the creature twitched in its death spasms for the last time before disintegrating into nothingness. Particles of white drifting into the sky as it went.

Masako felt a pang of relief sweep through her body as it vanished. Her "friend" turned to face her and let out a terrible roar into the sky that cut through the air. Masako looked at the creature and felt almost safe as crazy as it sounded amidst the dread. And as suddenly as the creature appeared it vanished into darkness vanishing into the void. She took two steps forward chasing after it before collapsing to her knees. Her body felt heavy, made of lead and iron even keeping her eyes open felt taxing. Seconds later she collapsed entirely the sweet embrace of unconsciousness took her into its arms and caressed her gently brushing her hair. Leaving the others too look in awe and maybe re found terror having seen power released from the girl on a scale unseen by mortal man for at least ten years hence. What it all meant was still uncertain. And all that could be said truly about that night atop the roof was that all their lives had changed that night if it was for the better that was yet to be seen.
