Desktop profile login won't work. Coincidence that Windows 7 is no longer supported on same day? Consider me doubtful.

I'm having way too much fun with my Legend of Zelda Encylopedia. This is the game that got me into roleplaying so have a lot invested in it's lore and stories. Too bad can't have all the games too.

After his morning workout of running, a few sets crunches, push-ups and so on, Joshua had quickly hit the showers. The first blast had been a bit cold for some reason, well guy's dorms always did have the less maintained of facilities, he was done in record time and had quickly put together an outfit. What he ended up wearing was fairly simple, red-polo shirt, tan cargo pants, and trainers [as in the shoes]. Wardrobe accomplished with minimal effort he whipped out his phone and sent over the fated text.

"Good morning Erin, it's Joshua. Looking like a fine day today, so how about we meet up in say 10 minutes in front of Library then we'll decide a course of action from there. See ya soon." It was a bit short and to the point but in the end he preferred 'real' conversation over texting. Joshua quickly headed over to the neutral location to wait for who he believed was named Erin. There were some other students out and about but as classes were still a fair bit away there were certainly a lot less than there would be in about a week. A few people who recognized him gave their greetings and Chris responded in kind with his usual warmth.

As he waited Joshua could not help but feel a little on edge. It was just a faint prickling really but he was highly conscious of the fact that he really wanted Erin to like him and he was starting to feel the pressure. "Man, keep it together, what are you a high schooler with a crush?" He thought to himself. "We're just getting to know each other a little better is all, nothing to worry about, you hang out with people all the time." The inner monologue really was not helping, thankfully it was not just useless thoughts on his mind but also plans on what they should do for the day, which really depended on how much time Erin wanted to spend with him. Joshua wanted to make sure he did not accidentally over stay his welcome after all with someone he just met.
Sorry, I really had to focus on getting my ducks in a row for a job.
sup IceHeart? =)

Hey NacNak, good to see ya.

I'm interested in Valkyria Chronicles, Sorceress x Knight and the Summoning plot.

If we do the Sorceress x Knight, I'd prefer the sorceress role as I have an OC with some pretty interesting skill in sorcery. I'd also enjoy being the familiar in the summoning plot. :)

Nice, now then had a very full weekend so quite tired and brain dead at the moment. Anyway, think about which one who are more interested in and we can pm later.
Hmmm, well so far is pretty much what I expected. I suppose for myself, as someone with a little of an acting background, I actually enjoy the challenge of trying to be in character. Generally I can do enough research and get pretty close to how a character would act, though probably the biggest problem comes from other people's expectations of that character. You may be super close to the original writer of that character's thought process but fans tend to have a wide range of ideas of exactly how that character would react to a certain situation.

From my experience doing it, though I haven't tried a canon character in a long time, it does take a lot more work to effectively pull off though when done right can be quite fun. I've been kind of wanting to try a canon character again recently but since most people aren't comfortable with that I usually just go the OC route.
Gonna be a busy weekend for me so not sure when I'll get the next post. As for the roleplay I think maybe just this one other day then go on a timeskip to get things rolling.
I like creating OCs to roleplay but then there are times when I feel like just wanting to roleplay some already created character. Do you only play OC characters or do you sometimes skirt into the realm of roleplaying already established characters? What do you like about either option and what do you think are the pros and cons of each? Thought it would be interesting to hear some opinion on this.
Color me interested, I loved Gundam, though it got a little weird later on with the whole newtype thing, Always kind of had a thing for Zeon. The Principality of Zeon always had the coolest designs for mobile suits and armors, with a few ugly exceptions of course lol. Well I suppose anything is better then those Federation ball things ha ha.
Heck it's every guy's dream to have a cute girl give their number voluntarily." Joshua teased back as he took out his own phone and started the process of exchanging numbers. It did not take much time as the phones exchanged information and soon it was done. "I'll text you tomorrow then, take care!" With a wave Joshua left, feeling quite accomplished for some reason.

Later that night he was settled in his room when his roommate came in. Instantly his roommate started to harass him. "Hey, heard from my fans you were spending time with a new girl. Finally got some interest after a year eh?" His roommate was an accomplished member of the tennis team and had quite a collection of fans; therefore giving him a pulse on anything that happened on campus. He was a year ahead and in a way had been a mentor to Joshua.

"Ha ha, I don't know if its anything like that Chris. Sure I suppose she's cute but you know me."

"Aye, Mr. Looks-don't-faze-me guy. Seriously I thought something was wrong with you last year when you brushed off anyone who flirted with you. I also felt like I'd have to watch my back."

Joshua rolled his eyes at the Junior, who had implied that he thought Joshua might have been gay. "I don't know what it was but something just edged me toward approaching her. I feel like she is someone I want to know. Anyway I'll text her tomorrow and hang out."

"Moving quickly eh? Sly Dog."

Joshua shoved Chris playfully into the wall. "Don't jinx it man, you better stick your nose out of this." Joshua really did not want Chris to get involved but he was sure it would not be a problem as the older student usually had a lot on his plate, especially since he was going into the medical field.

"If I feel like it."

One of the boys around her age introduced himself to her as Katsurou to which she quickly responded, "A pleasure to learn your name." After the initial introductions with the branch family members Amaya got a much better look at the group. The three older members looked like they could handle themselves. The two around her age seemed competent enough, but that had yet to be seen. The one who introduced himself as Katsurou, he seemed to have a fair amount of reiatsu for a branch member so she would have to keep an eye on him. The elementary schooler was just adorable, Amaya had to restrain herself from bending down to hug him, cause if she did it would brake decorum.

"As soon as everyone has their belongs please follow me." Amaya beckoned the group and they filed behind her, as they walked into the compound she started explaining the various areas. "As you will notice this summer house has quite an ancient style, it has been reconstructed a few times over the centuries but has kept much of the same look it had all those years ago. In fact, the entire compound is constructed so as to actually be a strengthening seal so spiritual barriers can be put up at all times. If you looked at the compound the air it would be easy to see, though it does make for some interesting design choices and buildings."

The compound could prove a little troublesome to navigate effectively when one first arrived but Amaya was quite used to its layout. "A few things I should mention, the north most section is for main family members only so make sure you do not wander over there." She pointed to a separate section within the compound that was quite a bit more ornate than the rest of the area. "I know such a restriction is a little disappointing but those are the rules. Well here we are, you shall be staying here."

The group stopped at a section of building on the west side of the compound. This section was actually the servants quarters but several rooms had been prepared for the new branch family members. Amaya had suggested giving them normal guest quarters but the main family was still somewhat distrustful of the branch members which was why they were stuck in servants quarters which were small though not unpleasant. "Each of you will have your own room, please put your belongs inside and then we will introduce you to the training grounds where we can begin."
Sure, but it does contradict your implication that Éros can only be felt between a man and a woman, and all us gays in every instance ever are just pretending to feel something beyond strong friendship.

Actually, I never implied that people of the same sex can't feel Éros for each other. The point I was trying to get at is there are different types of love and not everyone that is trying to get married is doing it for the Éros aspect. There are plenty of people who want to get married because its a good arrangement, not because they want to have a romantic relationship with each other. For example two best friends might decide since they are best buds and want to share everything together but find a Civil Union is not enough so decide to get married instead. Best friends for life but might never cross the line.

Oh, I totally can. What with the fact that there are literally asexual people alive right now.

Whoops, I meant that in terms of asexual reproduction, not the fact that they feel little to no sexual drive which is asexual, my mistake there.

Human beings' thumbs, brains, and ability to speak, think, and understand is also the result of faulty DNA.

Hardly, since I do not believe the current human race is a result of Evolution. Yes, DNA is what makes us who we are down to our hair color, but faulty DNA creates bad results.

You fix inequality by trying to create equality.

We can certainly try but there are some things impossible because of how we are. Generally we should try to fix such things but at times just cannot be done. For example a homosexual couple can never create a child on their own and need outside help so by default such a couple has to be treated differently by either adopting or even artificial insemination if they are female. The point is there are some things which are impossible to circumvent.

Marriage predates all three Abrahamic religions and recorded human history entirely. Early man would participate in bonding rituals to join two people from separate families and strengthen clans overall. It was just a thing the Church adopted because people were already doing it-- to me that says that people should decide how they want to see marriage evolve, not a religious institution.

Also, Adam and Eve never got married, and if they did it'd technically be incestuous. Since Eve was basically just Adam's r63'd clone.

Incestuousness became a thing because human DNA is strange and will brake down more easily if it combines with a very similar gene pool, leading to disease, weakness, and potentially fatal mutations. Reminds me of the old European royal families who intermarried all the time and most of us know how well that worked out, lol. Back when humanity was first created Adam and Eve had nearly perfect DNA so there was no problem with having offspring together. Somewhat quickly after that time though it became apparent that humanity needed to diversify its gene pool to prevent quick degradation. Also when you're the only two human beings on the planet, not really much choice if you want to continue the line.

Also if you believe in the creation then marriage obviously, was in essence, created by God, since he made a male and female, put them together and said to multiply. In the end, in any society to expand the population it makes sense to try and encourage heterosexual coupling over anything else. Now looking at it from an Evolutionary view point[which I don't believe] there is no reason for a society to encourage anything other than the traditional view of marriage, as too much away from that norm could break it down and weaken it over time.
