Dragon Ball - To Whom the Planets were Sold [Reboot]

The arrival of Android 58 and Baal to the city was a scene of chaos as the two started to hammer into WTO ex-soliders. The Berylians watched in awe as the two started to rip into the ranks of enemy, temporarily disrupting the enemy ranks, especially when Baal started to roast some of them alive. "Who the heck are these guys!" One of the WTO aliens snarled as a group of soldiers made some space to regroup.

"Came to die with these crabs did ya?" They scoffed, trying to look as brave as possible when some of their comrades got instantly killed. Still there was plenty of them left over to fight. Because Baal looked like a more threatening target most of them turned to target him, while trying to be wary of his large axe of doom. "You should know not to mess World Trade Organization!"

Interesting they still seemed to consider themselves WTO soldiers despite the organization's fall. A few aliens in the distance watched with interest as their 'fodder' entered combat while the Berylians cheered the arrival of the Android and demon. They were content to watch for the moment to see just what these new arrivals could do.

Meanwhile in the sky Jeene was flying around in her aircraft, making careful recordings of the surrounding area. The battle in the city already firmly encoded in the craft's memory banks. She stared at her instruments, thinking that something was off. "Surely that can't be their entire force, there are barely enough to take a city as big as Onyxtite. Also I have yet to locate any enemy spacecraft. How can this be?" Jeene considered helping out at the city but it was more important for her to find out the true strength of the invaders and locate their ships if possible. Hitting the afterburner her small craft zipped through the sky at an astonishing rate in an attempt to locate the 'real' enemy.

Rufus had already made it to the top of a nearby mountain to get a view of the area. It was somewhat depressing to see miles of open land with nothing but the occasional rock and shrub. What was on the mountain itself was much more interesting. There was a mining operation going on and Berylian workers were being forced into hard labor for the precious minerals and metals in the mountain. It had not taken long for Rufus to sniff out some worthy prey as he sneaked around the mine. "Heh, let those idiots fight to their hearts content some small fry, I'm going to get to the boss around here."

Anovala Staril

Name: Anovala Staril
Appearance: Anovala is a somewhat attractive looking human woman who is slightly taller than average. She has a rather slim, yet fit body and her skin is rather smooth, and practically free from blemishes. She has pink shoulder length hair and a cute feminine face. Her bust is also rather small, at least when compared to other females. She usually wears a t-shirt and a skirt or jeans along with a brown headband, though in battle or when training she can most normally be found wearing a long-sleeved purple shirt and trousers, with a black undershirt and belt.
Age: 21
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Personality: Anovala is a kind girl with a strong sense of morals. She would rather carry out a plan that has less chance of success than a plan that would most likely work, but endanger others. Though she has a kind demeanor she has trouble thanking anyone properly, especially if it involves saving her life. It’s not that she doesn’t want to thank them though, she just doesn’t want to come off as weak, and she really doesn’t know what to say or even how to really react to it. She often mentally fights with herself on this and doesn’t know what to do. She is straight and while she desires a relationship for the future, she is not exactly looking for one right now.

Bio: Anovala was raised by two middle-class parents in a rural area. Both of her parents studied martial arts and had control over their ki and often took part in fighting tournaments winning a bit of money. At the age of six both of her parents started to teach Anovala martial arts, as well as trying to help her develop her own ki blast. Anovala had a knack for martial arts and was able to learn a bunch of moves at an accelerated rate, but she had trouble forming any type of ki blast. When Anovala reached age 14 both of her parents were attacked by a group of thugs after Anovala’s father accidentally bumped into one of them while he and his wife were heading out to see a movie together. Anovala’s parents had the upper hand at first, until the group leader arrived and fired ki blasts killing Anovala’s father with a direct shot to the head killing him. In extreme anger Anovala’s mother fired a large ki blast at the leader which injured him quite a bit, but also pissed him off majorly. A big battle played out ending in a draw with the gang leader dying due to a lucky attack by Anovala’s mother. Unfortunately Anovala’s mother was seriously injured in the fight and was rushed to the hospital and had to have surgery performed. Not to much time passed before Anovala found out and rushed to the hospital to visit her dying mother.

Anovala stayed by her mother’s bed side for a few hours until her mother finally passed away, due to complications with how the way the surgery was handled. Anovala cried as she headed back home now parentless. From that point on Anovala trained hard so that she could protect others and protect herself in case she had the same fate herself. She focused on training her handling of ki reasoning that if her mother knew how to use her ki more efficiently she could have survived. She also trained her speed as well rather than strength reasoning that if her father was fast enough he could have dodged the initial ki blast. Eventually she dedicated herself entirely to fighting and won several high level tournaments.

Aura Color: Light Blue

Preferred Fighting Style: Leaning towards Ki Blasts – Anovala is not afraid to engage in close quarters combat, but generally prefers to keep things at a medium distance, enough that she can rush her opponent or play keep away with ki blasts if needed. She specializes in both speed and ki efficiency/power, while everything else is a little below average, with durability being her weakest attribute.

Signature Combat Techniques
Cascade Punch: Anovala creates multiple thin layers of ki over her fist and punches her opponent with it. It’s basically like being punched multiple times simultaneously in the exact same spot, making it a devastating move if it ever hits directly. The only downside is that holding the different layers of ki together takes up a lot of concentration, so if Anovala were to get distracted she could lose some or even all the ki layers.

Flare up/Flare Mine: Anovala creates a small ball of ki that floats in the air. It’s basically a slow moving (or non-moving) mine that combusts if touched. When creating these balls of ki if Anovala focuses correctly she can link the balls of energy towards a source of energy. These mines can then flare up and shoot towards the source of the energy with a time delay that lasts anywhere from 1 second to 1 minute. When these projectiles flare up they produce sparks of orange ki and travel at a rate much faster than most standard ki attacks. Once the projectiles flare up they lose power but do gain a small amount of piercing damage. (e.g. able to pierce through the environment or pierce slightly through an entity’s body). Additionally the ki sparks generated deal a very miniscule amount of damage if touched. Flared ki blasts cannot change direction and can only fly in a straight line. The direction a non-flared mine moves is inconsequential to which direction the projectile moves once it flares up. If an energy source is undetectable Anovala will have to manually aim them in advance.

Divergence Beam: A large beam of ki that can split into multiple smaller beams. Additionally these beams can change directions and do not have to travel straight once fired, but movement is somewhat limited.

Drain Shield: Anovala creates a frontal ki barrier that can absorb ki blasts from other opponents and reintegrate the energy back into the ki shield to sustain itself. Of course this shield is not 100% efficient, and piercing projectiles have a much easier chance of breaking through the shield. That being said, slow moving projectiles, or rapid bursts of weak ki blasts are easily absorbed by the shield. Trying to break the shield physically will just have it act like a normal barrier. The Drain shield is weaker than most other barriers, but is very efficient against ki based attacks.

So much to do and so little time, sorry it took so long. The character looks good, Drain shield has its weaknesses so good job balancing it. If you are still interested I'll accept the character and you can put it in the character tab. As for a starting location the best one would be on the expedition force to planet Berly to assess the situation. Of course in Dragon Ball an assessment will probably mean a good deal of fighting.

@Archmage MC At this point I have to say its best just to just put your void demon character on the back burner. I feel like it is not very compatible with this roleplay, sorry I did not come to this decision sooner. Thankfully you have only done one short post so you do not have much weight in this roleplay anyway.

The Legend of Zelda: Decedents of the Hero (OPEN)

Those kinds of powers are just too hard to use in a way that works well with other characters. Too easy to 'accidentally' godmode other characters or even just do an action which essentially reverts what another character just did. Best to stay away from that skill set all together. Also does Legend of Zelda even have a time goddess?

Inheritance: Fire Rod – Capable of channeling her magic powers into fiery blasts which doubles as a lighting tool and a weapon.

Personality: Her magical prowess kind of gets to her head, making this small mage a bit of a narcissist. Stubborn to a fault, she can get exasperating at times. She also possesses a quick and often sharp wit which can put people off quite quickly. Another characteristic is her belief in justice and the destruction of evil, so at least her heart is somewhat in the right place.

Recent history: Descendant of the Oracle Din, Tina is charged with a destiny of keeping evil in check which she takes quite seriously. During her somewhat extensive travels it came to her attention the increased progression of natural disasters, evil rising up, and so on meaning that the land could soon plunge into darkness again. Feeling the call of her Oracle blood Tina has decided to find out the cause of the approaching storm and stop it.

Personal Goal: To become an unstoppable Oracle who can beat back evil without having to rely on others.

Three strengths (Not just combat)
1. Magical Prowess – Tina was born with a great affinity for magic with a large and efficient mana reserve.

2. Fire Affinity – Part of the Din line her powers align greatly with the fire element. This makes fire magic easier than most and she can easily tolerate the heat.

3. Keen Mind – Being an Oracle descendant is not just for show, her mind can work fast and furiously, allowing her to adapt to situations and notice things out of the ordinary.

Three weaknesses (Not just combat)
1. Stubborn – She can be stupidly stubborn, unwilling to change her mind at inappropriate times and may refuse help even when she clearly needs it.

2. Fragile – She is a mage, not a physical fighter. As such while not exactly weak she can easily be overpowered and physical exertion can quickly wear her down. Her height doesn’t really help matters either.

3. Overconfident – Tina is sure of herself, too sure a lot of the time and this overconfidence can get her into trouble, be it battle, a friendly game, and a tendency to believe she alone can do anything.

Greatest Love: Dark Chocolate, totally Divine.

Hates the most: Ironically those who put too much faith in their abilities. [Somehow she does not see this in herself]

Been busy getting ready for my trip this weekend so I'll come on very sparsely until I'm safely situated in my new foreign lodgings.

First off guys let me just say, initial confrontations and interactions with lesser npcs can be easily done by anyone here so don't be afraid to post and get into the action if you want.

@Archmage MC On another note, I can already see that like I initially did when I first attempted this roleplay other people are seeing the flaws in your character design that I noticed from the start. I allowed the character, mostly because I wanted to give you a chance since you did make some changes from the original design; however, like @Weird Tales has said the character really does not fit in Dragon Ball power wise. For example if I bring in a bad guy who is way more powerful than any of our characters suddenly Light is a lot more powerful by default which completely breaks the point of training to become more powerful[not that I intend there to be long training sessions in this roleplay]. That quick power up just by facing someone with a much high power level makes absolutely no sense. After all, both Cell and Buu had to actually absorb other beings in order to gain power. Your character is essentially an energy siphon with that 'void link' ability and while she may never overpower her opponent, that fact that she keeps draining ki through contact quickly can make such differences moot.

We are not far in yet so it is best to address this issue now before it can become any more of an issue.
