Introduction

Welcome, my dear children and mortal enemies, to the Event Challenge Extravaganza! Many have come from far and wide across the multiverse, from all walks of life, to watch and take part in these bizarre and challenging...well...challenges, that I have prepared for you all here today! Is it money that you're after? Fame? Thrill? All is welcome, just so long as you provide us with the necessary entertainment that our hungry crowd desires! Using state of the art magical technology, all willing participants will be transported to a unique pocket dimension where your chosen challenge shall take place. Fear not! Although the challenges that await you can be quite lethal, the you of that created dimension, poor sap, is the only one who shall truly be harmed. Think of them like an exact clone from which you can control while taking part in the challenge, and afterwards you will awaken back here, safe and sound, regardless of what fate had befallen the other you! From there you can collect your appropriate reward and have another go at one of the many exciting challenges that await!

This thread is for the posting of event challenges, from either myself or others, that seems like it would be very fun to play around with but not necessarily following the format of normal arena ranked battles, therefore requiring it's own separate thing. For example, you might want to arrange a battle where we all work together to fight off a giant boss or swarm of NPC opponents, or something else entirely like a race involving motorcycles blowing each other to kingdom come. You can really use your imagination for what constitutes an event challenge, but just remember that if it's too off the wall then you may have trouble getting people to join, but you never know when people might be looking for crazy action. It depends on the specific event for how many people can join, from 1 person challenges to infinite numbered ones.

Challenges take place in the same continuity, so if a character blows your guy up then he would remember this for future challenges and it could start up some interesting character interaction moments and alliances being formed. Storylines can take place inside of challenges if the situation allows for it. To show that it's a part of this thread, if you make a thread for the event challenge, type [Event Challenge] in the title so people know. The IC in this thread is for our character interactions when not participating in a challenge. This doesn't mean you can't be having them doing something in an event challenge at the same time in our time, we're just assuming that the events of the IC are not taking place at that exact same time according to them.

I mentioned pay, but unless you guys demand it, this is strictly for fluff and not any actual payment that you can get and keep track of. However, if we do set something up, it would likely allow for getting special equipment to use during challenges and just be an overall track of how well your characters are doing.

The characters that can be used here, coming from the multiverse, offers an insanely wide range of possible characters from cyborgs to demented butterfly swarms, but keep in mind that certain challenges may restrict the characters that are allowed entrance or allow them in with modifications. The pocket dimensions that are created usually allow the character to enter exactly as they are, but not always. Therefore, you can still use your overpowered character that you're so proud of in weaker powered events, but in that pocket dimension they would note that they feel weakened. You may post character sheets in this thread's character tab if desired for easy reference, but it's best to post them in the challenge threads themselves to reflect how they actually are in that challenge. Characters are not accepted or denied outright in this thread, as it depends on what they participate in. This doesn't mean we can't give constructive criticism on if we think a character would have trouble or not finding a good challenge to suit them.

Challenge rules depend on the challenge creator, but you can expect standard rules to apply unless otherwise stated. This includes not god modding (controlling other people's characters, auto hitting/avoiding, knowing stuff they wouldn't, etc.).

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Also feel free to make a post here that lists all of your challenges and I can link to that post into this one. Even if it's someone's challenge, you can request someone else be the host (a.k.a. the gm for that challenge) to take on the responsibilities of it if you simply wanted to post the idea but didn't have time at the moment to be the gm for it. All of my challenges can allow someone else to be the host if you desire unless otherwise stated.

Event Challenge List

Challenges will be listed by their number, title, number of players allowed, then a description such as what is going on and further information what is allowed or not.

#001-Taking the Stage-0 to Infinite-A basic battle to get everyone accustomed to this. Everyone starts out on a massive stage which can drop props at the discretion of the host, be it fake or real weapons, among other things. A swarm of (NPC) pure white shape shifting beings attack the group, who commonly take a humanoid form and cannot change in shape larger than a rhino. They can wield props if they get their "hands" onto them but otherwise make weapons out of themselves. Their numbers and durability is adjusted to the level of the challengers, and upon sustaining enough damage they melt into lifeless goo. The stage doesn't look that large at first but expands infinitely as people move outwards.
