Shiranui took out a Scientist and a Grunt that had only an Arbok and he found the key card on an office desk. With the key in hand he returned to the elevator area.
Shiranui took the other way, defeating any grunts that dared to challenge him.
"I reckon we should split up and meet back here," suggested Shiranui.
Shiranui nodded and after he recalled his Pokémon, the duo took the elevator to the fifth floor.
"Shishi, return; Titania, come on out!" Shiranui recalled his Luxray and sent his Gardevoir out. "Jean, I want you to do a psychometry scan for any heavy foot traffic not connected to the hallways. Titania, I want you to look into the future and see who's holding the key card we need and find the location of the warp pad we need to take." The two psychics nodded and did their respective work.
"'m reading a lot of foot traffic on the third and seventh floors," stated Jean.
"The key you need is on the fifth floor somewhere," Titania added, "The warp pad you seek is behind a locked door on the next floor up from where we are."
"Not necessarily," replied Shiranui, "One of our psychics can zero in on all the information we need."
"At least it'll be good training," Shiranui replied, "We don't know which warp pad will get us to our target, but some of the people here do."
Shiranui spotted the Rocket and unlike the Grunts they took on, this one wore glasses and a lab coat, meaning he was a Rocket Scientist. He took on the Scientist whom started with a Voltorb. Shiranui sent Tetsu out and after a while, the Voltorb exploded with a Self-Destruct that left the Aggron with some battle scars and an automatic win for that round. The Scientist sent out a Magnemite with the Magnet Pull ability and Tetsu made short work of it with an Earthquake. A Magneton followed and it took two hits to take it out on account of its Sturdy ability.
"Jean, read him!" Shiranui called out his Alakazam to read the Scientist's mind after conventional interrogation techniques failed to get a response. While Jean was reading the Scientist's mind, he called Shishi out and had the Luxray use her x-ray vision to see through the ceiling. The only information Jean got from the lowly Scientist was information pertinent on the building itself from teleporting via warp pads scattered about to doors that required a key card. The Alakazam turned her attention to Shishi as the Luxray's vision pierced through the ceilings all the way up to the top floor. Reading the Luxray's mind, Jean got a mental floor plan, but she hit a little snag when she found the part of the top floor accessible by the stairs or lift was nothing more than an empty hallway. "We need to revise our battle plan," the Alakazam stated.
"I couldn't get anything out of my guy either," Shiranui related, "We might have to climb up and take these guys one by one."
"I'm on it!" replied Shiranui as he took on a grunt with a five-Pokémon team. Jean made quick work of the three Zubat and the single Golbat and Sapphire was having a lot of fun taking out a Raticate.
