Koji had just finished his lunch and was heading for the IT lab to check the result of a school assignment he submitted a day earlier. He was a computer whiz kid that was rumoured to have launched a denial-of-service attack on the Facebook account of someone who had bullied him for his intelligence and because of it, he had gained a reputation as a hacker. When he logged in, the screen showed not the usual loading screen, but a black screen with scrolling green DigiCode not unlike something out of The Matrix. "I'm going to have to meet up with the kid who pulled that trick," he said to himself before the screen spat out something that looked like a green iPod that was bent near the bottom and had three buttons arranged around the top of a circle on the front. Before Koji could comment on the object he received, the screen glowed a bright white and he was pulled in along with his laptop.
"Bring it on, bigshot! Jean, I choose you!"
"Nidorino, you're up!" Shiranui called his Alakazam out while Giovanni called out his Nidorino.
"Nidorino, the Poison Pin Pokémon and the evolved form of a male Nidoran. An aggressive Pokémon that is quick to attack. The horn on its head secretes a powerful venom."
"Nidorino, Toxic Spikes!"
"Jean, Psybeam!" Before Nidorino could set up an entry hazard, Jean crossed her spoons and fired an iridescent beam that knocked Nidorino out in one hit.
"Nidorino, return! Try this one on for size; Kangaskhan, you're up!" Giovanni switched his downed Nidorino for Kangaskhan and Shiranui kept Jean out. "Kangaskhan, Crunch!"
"Jean, Psybeam!" Jean crossed her spoons and fired the same beam that knocked Nidorino out. Kangaskhan got hit for some major damage and retaliated by biting down on Jean's head. The Alakazam barely held on. "Kangaskhan, Crunch once more!"
"Not this time! Jean, Disable!" Jean read Kangaskhan's mind and placed a temporary mental block on the latter's Crunch attack. Because of it, Kangaskhan was unable to make her move.
"Kangaskhan, Bite!"
"Jean, Recover!" Shiranui was glad that Jean was faster as the Alakazam recovered her health in time before receiving a nasty bite to her head that did as much damage as what Jean recovered.
"Master, I just learned Psychic," Jean stated, hoping that Shiranui would have her use it.
"Kangaskhan, finish it with Bite!"
"Jean, Psychic!" The Alakazam held her spoons to her forehead and used all the mental power she could muster to send Kangaskhan flying in several directions before slamming her onto the floor. Kangaskhan barely survived the attack and delivered a bite that knocked Jean out.
"Jean, have a good rest; Tetsu, I choose you!" Shiranui switched his Alakazam for his Aggron.
"Kangaskhan, Dizzy Punch!"
"Tetsu, Brick Break!" A loud clang was heard as Kangaskhan gave Tetsu a punch that made the Aggron stumble a bit. Regaining focus, Tetsu gave Kangaskhan a karate chop that knocked her out.
"Kangaskhan, return; Rhyhorn, you're up!"
"Rhyhorn, the Spikes Pokémon. Strong, but not too bright, this Pokémon can shatter even a skyscraper with its charging Tackles."
"Tetsu, return; Fushigi, I choose you!" Both trainers switched their Pokémon. In Shiranui's case, he switched his Aggron for his Venusaur.
"Rhyhorn, Bulldoze!"
"Fushigi, Solar Beam!" The Venusaur collected the light from the sun and powered up for an attack. Rhyhorn gave the floor a stomp and sent a quake at Fushigi for some major damage. Fushigi was rendered slower from the hit.
"Rhyhorn, Drill Run!"
"Fushigi, Fire!" The speed drop did not affect Fushigi's timing as the Venusaur fired a bright beam of sunlight that knocked Rhyhorn out in one hit.
"My last one will not be so easy! Nidoqueen, you're up!" Giovvanni switched his downed Rhyhorn and sent his Nidoqueen out.
"Nidoqueen, the Drill Pokémon and the fully evolved form of a female Nidoran. The body is covered by stiff, needlelike scales. If it becomes excited, the needles bristle outwards."
"Nidoqueen, Earth Power!"
"Fushigi, Earthquake!" Thanks to Rhyhorn's Bulldoze attack, Nidoqueen was faster as she made the floor under Fushigi erupt, sending the Venusaur flying and knocking him out with a critical hit.
"Fushigi, return; Titania, I choose you!" Shiranui switched his Venusaur for his Gardevoir.
"Nidoqueen, Poison Sting!"
"Titania, Misty Terrain! Mega Ring activate!" Titania was enveloped in an orb of energy until the orb shattered to reveal Titania's Mega form. The Mega Gardevoir covvered the floor with mist before Nidoqueen pricked Titania with her horn. Shiranui was glad the mist made Titania immune to being poisoned, but it also made Nidoqueen immune to status ailments as well.
"Nidoqueen, Earth Power!"
"Titania, Psychic!" The Mega Gardevoir flung Nidoqueen around in a similar fashion to what Jean did earlier and after slamming Nidoqueen to the floor, the latter was knocked out.
"Nidorino, you're up!" Shiranui called his Alakazam out while Giovanni called out his Nidorino.

I have answered that in the next to last rule.I think that makes logical sense, so it will work. This looks good too. I do have one other thing to ask everyone. It may or may not come up, but if we have a dark digivolution come up (Grey to SkullGrey, Wargrowl to Megidramon, etc.) would everyone be alright with it?
I've seen them occur in the anime so I'm fine with it. The only time I see this occur here so far is the appearance of Megidramon.
Shiranui nodded and quickly took the warp pad up to the top floor.

Our heroes soon arrived at the third floor.
Shiranui showed Liam the key card. "Now for our next phase," he said, "Find the warp pad that'll take us up to the top."
Shiranui heard the message in his mind and called Jean out. "Jean, tell Liam we found it," said Shiranui. The Alakazam nodded and relayed the message back to her trainer's friend, adding a rendezvous at the elevator where Shiranui was waiting.
