"That's a mega stone," stated Shiranui, "I don't know which one though."
Shiranui registered as well while he felt a faint sign of a powerful presence; similar to something he felt at the Bell Tower.
In that case, I'm for it.
I don't follow.
"I sure am," answered Shiranui, glad the boat had the means to alter a trainer's party. He used it to change it so Ryou, Hikari and Wani were a part of it, hoping three Water-type Pokémon were enough to participate in the Cup.
Shiranui had healed his Pokémon and arranged his party for the Cianwood Gym before making it back to the port in time to embark on the ferry to Cianwood City.
If there is a distribution of Kanto starters at Kalos, they will have their mega stones already so the question is will you receive the Blastoisinite in this part or will Professor Sycamore distribute the Kanto starters at Lumiose City as well as the Kalos starters?
Shiranui decided to join Liam at fishing. Not long after he cast his line, he got a bite and landed a Horsea. "Horsea, the Dragon Pokémon. If Horsea senses danger, it will reflexively spray a dense black ink from its mouth and try to escape. This Pokémon swims by cleverly flapping the fin on its back."
"Tachi, start with Swift!" Horsea made itself faster with Agility before Tachi launched a salvo of stars that scored a direct hit. "Poké Ball, go!" Shiranui threw a regular Poké Ball and the Horsea was drawn into it. Shiranui watched the ball shake three times before it pinged shut. "Great job, Tachi," he praised, petting his Eevee. After naming his new friend Ryou he cast his line again.

Shiranui got another bite and landed a Chinchou. "Tachi, Quick Attack!" The Eevee leaped into action and vanished before blindsiding the Chinchou with a tackle. Chinchou conjured an orb of electricity and threw it at Tachi, electrocuting the Eevee. "Tachi, Bite!" Chinchou let off a Supersonic attack that didn't affect Tachi before the Eevee bit down hard. "Great Ball, go!" Shiranui threw a Great Ball at Chinchou and the fish was drawn in. After three shakes, the ball pinged shut. "You've done well," Shiranui praised and Tachi felt so happy she started glowing. Shiranui watched with joy as Tachi's fur got sleek and smooth; her tail lost its fluffiness and became catlike with a two-pronged end; and tufts of fur grew from below her ears. The glow subsided to reveal an Espeon and Shiranui smiled as he knew Tachi would be a formidable battler. He named his new catch Hikari.
"Great catch, Liam," Shiranui praised as the egg he resumed carrying after leaving Ecruteak City began to hatch. When the top part of the egg broke off, a series of spikes opened up like a flower and the hatchling opened its eyes to see Shiranui for the first time. "Well, aren't you a cutie," Shiranui commented as he scanned the newborn with his Pokédex.
"Togepi, the Spike Ball Pokémon. As its energy, Togepi uses the positive emotions of compassion and pleasure exuded by people and Pokémon. This Pokémon stores up feelings of happiness inside its shell, then shares them with others." Shiranui found from reading the entry that the Togepi species had something in common with the Kirlia Species.
"I'll name you Kanki," Shiranui said with a gentle voice. Kanki yawned and went to sleep, the spikes on top of his head closing back up to resume an egg shape. Shiranui gently tapped Kanki with the Poké Ball provided with the Togepi's egg case and Kanki was made an official part of the team.
"Yes, we shall," answered Shiranui.
