"Yoto, Gyro Ball at Glalie; Kohaku, return!" Shiranui recalled his Aerodactyl. A glow came from Sunawani's tunnel and a Krookodile burst forth from the ground and attacked Houndoom. Yoto's swords joined at the hilt and started spinning as fast as a helicopter's rotors before spinning towards Glalie.
"Krookodile, the Intimidation Pokémon and the evolved form of Krokorok. Very violent Pokémon, they try to clamp down on anything that moves in front of their eyes. They never allow prey to escape. Their jaws are so powerful, they can crush the body of an automobile."

"Kohaku, Protect; Yoto, intercept that Sludge Bomb; Sunawani, use Dig at Houndoom!" Shiranui drew Yoto and threw the Doublade at Muk's Sludge Bomb while Kohaku conjured a green shield that blocked Glalie's Ice Beam and Sunawani dug underground to dodge Houndoom's Flamethrower. Yoto took the Sludge Bomb and was unaffected by the attack.
Shiranui saw the Pokémon responsible and sprung into action. "Kohaku, Ancient Power at Glalie! Sunawani, Earthquake!" His Aerodactyl and Krokorok both came out and executed their attacks, Kohaku being immune to Sunawani's Earthquake.
"We can't let that happen now, can we? Liam, get ready for a battle!" said Shiranui before running out and inspecting the chaos.
Shiranui waited for Gallade to complete his sweep. He was trying to think about what Pokémon would be poached in the marsh.
"Keanan, your peacekeepers are calling," said Shiranui. He noticed Keanan's partners were what Hana and Numeru would eventually become.
Shiranui accepted the invitation before apologising to Liam.
"Aren't we a bit young to be poachers?" asked Shiranui, drawing one of the swords that was Yoto and cutting Liam free from the trap.
Shiranui had a hunch. "Would it happen to be this?" he asked, letting Numeru out.
