Shiranui heard Zinnia muttering something about Petalburg City as she ran off and saw a slight blush on Liam's face. He was about to joke on Liam having a crush on Zinnia when he noticed his Mega Ring was missing something. "Liam, my keystone's been stolen!" he exclaimed.

Jiraiya's attack connected for major damage, causing Niwatori to crash onto the field. "Fushigi, show off your Nature Power; Niwatori, use Mirror Move!" Niwatori jumped high into the air and aimed a kick at Jiraiya that would be sure to connect. Fushigi launched a bright white orb from his plant that morphed into a flat energy triangle. It had become a Tri Attack as fire, electricity and ice energy bordered the triangle before it disappeared, leaving the attacks forming a delta before being launched at Jiraiya.

"Fushigi, use your Vine Whip to throw Niwatori at Jiraiya; Niwatori, use Stone Edge!" Jiraiya had indeed woken up while Fushigi wrapped some vines around Niwatori's waist and threw the Mega Blaziken at Jiraiya. Niwatori flew towards Jiraiya with his right fist forward, looking like a superhero while rings appeared around his extended fist before transforming into planetary ring systems.

"Niwatori, Protect; Fushigi, give Jiraiya a sparkly Sleep Powder!" The green shield came up in the shape of a regular tetrahedron just before the attacks connected. Meanwhile, Fushigi released a fog of sparkly blue powder.

Shiranui lost some points and both his Pokémon were slowed. "Niwatori, Curse; Fushigi, use Venoshock on Sceptile!" Niwatori dropped his Speed to boost his physical stats while Fushigi launched a gob of a mixture of toxins that would react with whatever Sceptile was poisoned with.
