Pokémon Hoenn: α and Ω

"Pain Split!" Hoshi's crystal core glowed a bright red as the Starmie shared its pain. Because Electabuzz was fresh for battle and Hoshi was nearly knocked out, both Pokémon were now at half health give or take several hit points. Hoshi lay on its back and the Focus Blast missed by centimetres.

"Reflect Type!" Hoshi changed colours again, this time adopting a golden yellow colour scheme. The Starmie was struck by lightning and the hit was resisted, though Hoshi was feeling exhausted at this point.

"Magic Coat!" Shiranui countered. Hoshi conjured a barrier just before Politoed let off a bright flash. The flash reflected off Hoshi's barrier and rendered Politoed confused instead.

Politoed was hurt from the Stealth Rock and Sunakaba was blasted by the powered-up Hydro Pump and knocked out in one hit. "Sunakaba, return; Hoshi, I choose you!" Shiranui switched out his downed Hippowdon and sent his Starmie into battle.

"Sunakaba, Fissure!" As another wave appeared, Sunakaba stomped the ground. The tremors turned the wave into a mini-tsunami and Sunakaba stomped the ground again, this time causing a white beam to issue forth along the ground, leaving a fissure in its wake. As the beam headed towards Nidoking, it parted the waves like a tale from a very popular book.

"Sunakaba, Protect!" A green shield appeared around Sunakaba before the Hippowdon was inundated by a wave.

"Senritsu, return; Sunakaba, I choose you!" Shiranui switched his Mega Altaria for his Hippowdon. Sunakaba's Sand Stream ability caused a sandstorm to blow. The Hippowdon was pelted with stingers, but was luckily not poisoned.

"Senritsu, Earthquake!" Arcanine's Iron Tail missed and Senritsu landed hard on the ground, starting an Earthquake.

"Senritsu, Dragon Rush! Mega Ring activate!" Shiranui activated his Mega Ring and Senritsu was enveloped in an orb of energy. The orb shattered to reveal a Mega Altaria. Arcanine fired an orb of draconic energy, but Senritsu was now immune to the attack. The Altaria dived down towards Arcanine, enveloped in draconic energy.

"Hoshi, return; Senritsu, I choose you!" Shiranui switched his Starmie for his Altaria. Because Hoshi had cleared the Stealth Rock out of Shiranui's side of the battlefield, Senritsu did not get any entry hazard damage. The Altaria did get hit from Arcanine's Flame Charge, but was resistant to the move.
