Manectric barely survived the Facade, to Shiranui's relief. "Manectric, finish it off with Shock Wave!" With Murkrow too paralysed to move at that point in time, Manectric took the opportunity and launched an arc of electricity at Murkrow.
"Thunderbolt!" Manectric charged her power as Murkrow swooped in for a powerful hit. At impact, a cloud of dust covered the battlefield with Manectric's Thunderbolt visible for a short period of time. "Manectric, you okay?" Shiranui asked. He knew Facade was powerful if the user suffered a status condition.
"Thunder Wave!" Murkrow conjured an orb of shadow energy and launched it. Manectric was hit for some damage. She launched a bolt of low-charge electricity at Murkrow with the intention to paralyse it.
"U-turn!" The Mega Altaria dive bombed Murkrow before retreating back into its Poké Ball. "Manectric, I choose you!" Shiranui tagged his Manectric in. Manectric got buffeted by Murkrow's Icy Wind and was slowed down.
"Hoshi, return; Senritsu, I choose you!" Shiranui switched out his Starmie and sent out his Mega Altaria (Zoro in Illusion). Murkrow tried to copy stat changes, but the move failed due to its target being freshly sent out.
"Hoshi, Recover!" The shrunken Starmie healed itself in time for Murkrow to conjure a mirage that scared Hoshi for more than half the damage that was recovered.
"Finish it off with Double-Edge!" Hoshi jumped into the air and spun towards Electabuzz, nailing the Electric Pokémon for a powerful blow while receiving recoil damage.
"Minimize!" Hoshi shrunk in size and jumped out of the way of Electabuzz's attack.
"Magic Coat!" Hoshi conjured its barrier again as Electabuzz let off an ear-splitting Screech. The sound waves echoed off the barrier and Electabuzz felt their effects instead, causing its Defense stat to drop to half its base value. Shiranui was enjoying the psychological warfare side of the battle as the rain stopped.
