"Because I've known him for longer than you have and one thing I know about him is the fact that mistreatment of Pokémon is the complete opposite of how he takes care of his Pokémon," answered Saisei, "Like all the other members of his team, he used a Luxury Ball to capture you and those Poké Balls, I've heard, are a lot more comfortable than the standard Poké Balls that your species usually ends up being captured in. He's a member of the esteemed family of Nurse Joys and from what I've heard, any trainer who mistreats a Pokémon gets to be on the wrong end of their wrath including him. I've heard many horror stories about their tempers. The point is, there are few trainers who would care for you better than him."
"No, my birth has been much worse; if you could call it that," Saisei rebutted, "If you had been created in a stasis tube at a science lab with humans poking, prodding and messing around with your own genetic make-up just to make you into the world's most powerful Pokémon; how would you feel?"
"Yes, but when do people go there?"

"When a Battle Frontier head hunter by the name of Scott deems them worthy to take on the challenge," Shiranui answered, "He looks around the regions for the best trainers to do so and that's why we're here. You're welcome to watch us battle there if you want to do so."

Smaug glared at Titania. "You don't know what I deal with!" Smaug scream in his mind.

"Your anger is blinding you to the fact that I can read your mind like an open book," stated Titania, fighting to keep her own anger in check, "If you won't listen to what I have to say, then perhaps a heart-to-heart with someone who also had a painful past can help you get back on the right path." The Gardevoir used her telekinetic powers to levitate a Master Ball out of Shiranui's backpack and after mustering up some courage and determination, Titania opened the ball. The legendary Mewtwo appeared and was a little surprised at what it was seeing.
"Titania, what is this about?" asked Saisei.
"Smaug here is refusing to listen to his trainer because he has a bad opinion of humanity thanks to his past," answered Titania.
"Is that so?" Saisei replied, looking at the Charmander with a hint of amusement.
"You can take it from here," Titania finished, leaving Saisei to have a talk with Smaug.

"Smaug, you and I have had similar pasts," stated Saisei.
Neko looks at Shiranui. "All right! But. Who're you?"

"I'm Shiranui Tsukiko, Champion of the Kanto and Kalos Leagues, Sea Hero of the Whirl Islands and Hoenn's Top Coordinator."

Smaug was getting bored of the conversations between the humans. He sat down on the cave floor and turned his face away from them. He wore a bored look on his face, in attempt to hide his annoyance.

Titania wore a sceptical look on her face. "You may be able to hide your annoyance from the humans, but you can't fool me," she stated.
"By watching us battle, you can learn some battle techniques," Shiranui added.
Shiranui however had better night vision thanks to his ninja training and was able to make out who was up ahead.
Titania decided to wait until the time was right before she divulged Smaug's backstory to Liam. Shiranui saw Smaug start complying with Liam's order.
"You sound like a Ralts I met a year back," stated Titania, seeing Smaug's memory of the poachers in his mind, "Your new trainer is very capable of taking care of Pokémon, being the son of the honourable family of Nurse Joys that run every Pokémon Centre around the world. My trainer on the other hand has a Pokémon who had the worst start to life you could imagine and it was here in Mt. Moon that he turned over a new leaf and pledged his loyalty to him." The Gardevoir shuddered in fear at the mention of Shiranui's strongest Pokémon.
"You feeling alright?" Titania asked Smaug.
"All it'll take is time and a bit of rehabilitation," Shiranui replied, agreeing with Liam's point.
