Ice Beams fired out of all three of Hydro's cannons and blasted Kohaku point blank. The Aerodactyl reverted to his normal form from being knocked out.

"Kohaku, Thunder Fang! Mega Ring activate!" Shiranui activated his Mega Ring and Kohaku let off a glow before achieving his Mega Form. His teeth were sparking as Kohaku swooped down towards the withdrawn Hydro.
Hydro achieved his Mega Form and blasted an Aura Sphere from his back cannon. Kohaku was not in a position to counter the attack and was blasted for a lot of damage for a normally-effective hit. He got back on course, grabbed Hydro and gave the Mega Blastoise a ride. Time was on the verge of expiring as Kohaku violently threw Hydro back down to the stage.
"Agility into Sky Drop!" Kohaku relaxed his body before taking back to the air, using the Speed boost to dodge Hydro's attack. The Aerodactyl dived towards Hydro with his talon-like claws ready to grab him.
"Ride that Twister and give Hydro an Earthquake!" Kohaku flew into Hydro's Twister and rode the winds, gaining altitude. The Aerodactyl exited the Twister, went into a nosedive and struck the stage at a high speed, setting off an Earthquake.
"Do an aileron roll!" Kohaku flew at the Aura Sphere, angled his wings and started spinning in mid-air, tucking his wings in to reduce drag. He used a Wing Attack and like a spacecraft deflecting laser fire, swatted the Aura Sphere away.
"Supersonic!" Kohaku let out a loud squawk that was at the right frequency to shatter the ice ball.
"Batter up with a Brutal Swing!" Kohaku wound up with his tail and swung it violently at the Aqua Tail, hitting it straight back at Hydro for a line drive.
"Kohaku, I choose you!" Shiranui called his Aerodactyl out and white ribbons streamed out of Kohaku's Poké Ball before entwining into a double helix that formed the Aerodactyl.
