Shiranui agreed with Liam's comment based on gossip he heard from his Pokémon on how affectionate Ash's Muk was towards Prof. Oak.

Shiranui scanned Liam's new friend with his Rotom Phone. "Zigzagoon: Galar Form, the Tiny Raccoon Pokémon. A Dark and Normal type. Its restlessness has it constantly running around. If it sees another Pokémon, it will purposely run into them in order to start a fight."

Shiranui studied up on Milo. "It says here that Milo uses the Gossifleur evolution line in his gym battles," he stated after looking up a guide on the Gym Challenge, "Rotom, what's the data on the Gossifleur evolution line?"

"Ready and raring," Shiranui answered, eager for his first official gym battle in Galar.
Selina nodded though added "I don't know, Team Yell seem more like a rabid fanbase then anything malicious, probably get in our way every now and then, but at worst slow down our progress or at best some extra exp for our pokemon". Once again, she suddenly stopped and quickly moved to protect Liam as she though she heard something, once she was sure it was safe she moved away once more. "This whole thing with my family has put me on edge" She admitted to her friends.
"I somewhat know how that feels," Shiranui related, thinking back to his early Ninjutsu training.
"So would she be a sergeant then?" Shiranui asked.
"That would not surprise me if there were," Shiranui stated.
Shiranui changed back into his standard outfit and left as well, looking up the location of Turffield. He wondered why they revealed seven of the eight gym leaders and if like they used to do in Kanto, kept the eighth a mystery.
I'd be stoked if they do for it's an acknowledgement that they've incorporated elements of Platinum into their story.
