Okay, let me lay it out for you;

The RP will begin pre-formation of the new formation - that'll be the one our characters come together to create later on. At the beginning we are nearing the end of an Imperial crusade against the Greenskins in an overrun system of Imperial space, the regiments we are currently part of will be folded together to create a mixed/composite regiment of varying peoples, fighting types and so forth.

That's pretty much all you need to know.

I am totally okay with that. I'm not okay with Infantry Regiments, though, especially Light Infantry Regiments. Mechanized Infantry is the only acceptable infantry. The rest of them just have bad times... I'm going to assume I still get the plasma gun and keep writing my adhoc character sheet

I don't mind you not being alright with infantry, in fact I'd say it should add interesting mechanics to the RP; feel free to carry on with the improvised profile.

When not in your tank, you'll likely be armed as the 'base regiment' of your regiment is, this could mean you'll be given a las-gun and bayonet...who knows?

Note for the both of you, two in fact...

The first being that you'll actually be spending less time in your pride-and-joy than you think, as most of our tasks will be more person-to-person and therefore not require a hulking mass of death-dealing and tracked metal. Sorry.

Secondly, you'll be shoved into a composite regiment, along with others from different planets, similarly decimated regiments and so forth.

You'd best start believing in the power of foot-slogging infantry regiments, boys, you're in one!

If the Rogue Trader has no problem being under the command of a military official, of being told when and where to go, and generally adhering to Imperial rules and regulations...then yes, that's fine. :)

I'll get an OOC up when we get...at least two more potential cannon fodder participants for the RP.

Until then, feel free to spit-ball ideas/put up ad-hoc character sheets of your own design/go outside.
