Ryobi entered the prison showers, a long room with a dozen or more individual showers along the right-hand wall and benches along the left. As he approached Pryce with the First Aid Kit in tow, he pointed to the bench near where she stood. "As the only person trained as a field medic, I believe I currently outrank you right now. Sit." Ryobi smirked at his superior. Although it was true that he had trained as a field medic during his days in the military police, he was by no means an expert in medicine, or first aid for that matter. "I need to patch up that cut of yours before you get an infection."

As Pryce complied, Ryobi gingerly cleaned the cut while explaining what had happened to him so far. "The worst part of it all," he continued as he began to wrap the bandage around the cut, "is that there is no way this happened without someone on the inside being a part of it. Someone at or above my level, I'd think. Everything just worked out too perfectly for this to be a coincidence or a plan that we couldn't intercept sooner. That's why I didn't want Kitt to call the medbots: I'm not sure if the Captain could be a part of this. Or the doc, or anyone else that's with Burch. Heck, I don't know if you could be a part of this, but obviously, I trust you more than anyone else on this floating tube."

With the bandage applied to his satisfaction, Ryobi stepped back, allowing the warden to stand again. "That should stave off infection for a bit, but we'll need to get to Medbay eventually. The question is whether we try to get more information before seeing Burch, or if we just take our lumps and head in. Now that I've got a gun, I can at least defend myself if someone tries to jump me, so I'd be more willing to head to the Cap now. He might have some plans for rounding up the inmates or protecting the civs. If we go somewhere else, we might want to check in with the Captain anyways. The only person I've seen besides you so far is Kitt, and she isn't quite as good at fighting as you are."

During this entire monologue, Ryobi's face was stoic, although his hands were gentle with Jan's wound. At the end, he looked back towards the Warden. "I'm damn glad we didn't lose you too, Jan," he muttered quietly. He normally didn't show her any sort of affection -- their relationship was of a different sort -- but with what had just happened... "I know you'll be okay, but... seeing as we ain't got a therapist handy, if you want to talk, I'm all ears."

Despite being a hothead, Sarah is usually extremely professional when it comes to dealing with clients. She often compartmentalizes her feelings on the job, but there are lines that should not be crossed. Off the job, Sarah treats most people kindly, right up until they piss her off. Once that happens, there’s no telling what she’ll do to them.

backstory.

The daughter of a Japanese businessman and an American mother, Sarah always felt caught between two cultures her entire life. Her Japanese side tried to turn her into a demure gentle person, while her American side influenced her individuality and spontaneity. You can guess which side won out in the end.

Sarah studied for an English Teaching degree at the University of Tokyo at her parents’, but it was never her passion. Instead of following through on her studies, Sarah spent most of her time at a nearby arcade run by the Akiyama family. There she met a girl named Phoebe who interested her. After a few drinks and an intended one-night stand, Sarah seemed to keep returning to this girl. A second date turned into living together, which turned into a wedding at a nearby chapel. Sarah simply couldn’t say no to her.

Phoebe was excellent with technology, and her job kept her away from home most of the time. Eventually, Sarah figured out what it was that Phoebe actually did, and who she worked for. Sarah wanted in, and was eventually hired as a personal driver for various clients. She excelled at the work, and soon graduated to one of the top drivers for the organization. Her job only keeps her out of the house for a few days a week, and Phoebe brings home most of the income, but it's an enjoyable occupation for her.

One evening, Phoebe returned home from an ongoing job, tears streaming down her face. She explained that the client had gotten drunk and tried to make a move on her, casually suggesting that she wanted him dead. Sarah, being thoroughly unable to say no to her wife and guided by Phoebe’s suggestions, concocted a plan to put some poison in the tea she served her guests while driving them around. Phoebe delivered the tea to the client which did its job swiftly. Although they thought they had covered their trails, Phoebe’s hacking of the camera system ended up leaving the erasers right to them.

But hey, nobody’s perfect.

- Sarah can run quite a bit faster than Phoebe, but never actually tries to outpace her.
- Sarah’s #1 weakness is Phoebe. She trusts Phoebe implicitly and would die and kill for her. She’s already done the latter.
- Sarah was disowned by her father after he learned of her orientation. She still talks with her mother once in awhile, however.

Perhaps I'm missing something. Which save is not added in? If you mean the Str Save, My Strength mod is -1 and I have a +2 PB, meaning my save mod is +1 (which is what I have). If it's something else, please bonk me over the head :P

EDIT: Bonked myself. Charisma was empty. FIXED.

Also, if you ask me the questions you have, that will probably help me reinforce her backstory and info a bit better. I do have some ideas kicking around in my head, but more info is also very helpful.

He is the typical nerd: salutatorian of the class and captain of the math team (the only varsity letter he got). He nearly always treats others nicely (unless they’ve been treating someone else poorly), but he often misjudges social situations and says the wrong thing.

That said, Brandon has a heart of gold. Those he considers his friends are the world to him, even if he doubts they feel the same way. He would stand up for anyone who was mistreated, and once got punched in the face defending a friend from a bully (which ironically also got Brandon suspended for the first time in his life).

His family moved, forcing him to switch schools; his grandfather died, with whom he was extremely close; and he was subject to abuse from his brother, the effects of which he wouldn’t truly realize until some time passed. With all these things crashing down, Brandon found it hard to cope, withdrawing into video games and anime instead of spending time making friends.

By the time he reached high school, Brandon was already significantly overweight. As such, he never considered himself attractive enough to be worthy of dating, overlooking his other positive traits. Indeed, he has never been in any sort of true relationship, although he has crushed pretty hard on a few of his classmates over the years. He would never admit it to them for fear of (in his eyes, imminent) rejection. He considers himself broken goods, and has essentially consigned himself to a life with little possibility of romance.

Brandon has a habit of avoiding social gatherings, and without his parents’ insistence, he would not be at this summer-long get-together. His parents decided that he needed more social interactions, perhaps looking back on their own youths and wishing they had fewer regrets. Whatever the reason, Brandon approaches the gathering with some trepidation, having no idea what to expect.

Brandon was one of ten people in the school to go all four years on the honor roll, and one of two to get all As for all four years. Sadly, one of his college credit classes gave him a bit more trouble than he anticipated, and he slipped to salutatorian instead of valedictorian. The scholarship has taken the pressure off Brandon to find a job to pay for his classes, and as he is not a partier, he has little need for funding other than snacks and hobbies. However, he laments that he will be leaving his friends behind.
