Hey all, JB here.
I'm a DM for a large number of games here on RPG, as well as a player in several others. Many of the games I run are overly complex, or they involve Dungeons and Dragons (which is also overly complex!).
I work 40+ hours a week, and am the proud father of two tiny terrors named Chibi and Chibette and married to my beautiful Wifey. As such, I am quite busy more often than not. I typically write 2-5 paragraphs per reply and try to maintain an excellent level of grammar. If you noticed me glancing at your profile, I probably was looking to see if you would be a good match for my RPing style. Even if I didn't send a PM to you, feel free to send one back!
I enjoy 1x1 RPs and small groups. I'm fond of medieval, steampunk, and futuristic settings, and I'll jump into romance, adventure, and slice of life RPs fairly quickly, although supernatural (vampires, werewolves, etc) RPs get old for me pretty quickly. If you're looking for an RP partner and I've glanced at your profile, then I'm most likely willing to give it a shot, but decided against PMing you because I'm actually kinda shy. But I'm always looking for a new friend!
Please feel free to say hi at any time!

also, the characters can text the mysterious number back, but it's not confirmed they'll get responses. if they do get responses, it'll be after everyone's posted their opening post so as to give people a chance before the plot gets moved on.
I assume if I text while driving, I'll die... but could @corneredbliss edit something in?
The Eonic Drifter begins to rush along the ice, but promptly falls flat on his face. He picks himself up and continues his hurried pace, but is unable to make use of the bonuses from the goliath. His copy, however, takes the opportunity to bring its staff around to hit Ulor, and the two of them vanish from view, their destination unknown. The ratfolk snarls at the approaching kurjian, evidently not preferring the feline type, and sinks the blade of a dagger into her leg, hoping it would be enough to bring her down. But by the grace of Pelor...
Affected: @Oraculum, although you have no clue what's going on. You do not need to roll concentration on Hex. @Ms Ravenwinter - Yvah takes 8 piercing damage. She has 1 HP remaining.
As captain of my ship, I always gave leeway to my crew to make decisions as they saw fit in battle. That is why the cry of ceasefire was not one that angered or annoyed me beyond the inability to show my prowess in battle. Much of the crew felt the same, and it seemed as though the thuellai had calmed its howling for the moment. The rough seas, however, were a force of nature rather than controlled by an individual, and a wave crashed over the side of the gunwales, splashing three of us with the icy salt brine. Perhaps the rage of the wolf might have made the waves thrash our ship harder, as this splash felt merely like that of a carriage passing by on a wintry road.
>All within 10 ft of the south edge of the ship must make CON saves. @Cu Chulainn, @Lauder, @JBRam2002 are affected.
>Jill succeeds with 18, as do Garnesh with 19 and Shivs with 22, taking no damage.
As the Octopus nearly leaves the Drifter Copy's reach, the Eonic Drifter's staff darts out to whack it in the back of its squishy skull, sending it tumbling to the ground and disappearing in a poof of inkish black smoke. The human figure steps forward to Lex as the goliath's blow lands, jabbing a shortsword into his side. As Lex collapses to the ground, the human steps over Lex's unconscious form to approach Yvah, hitting her with his other sword effortlessly as she was distracted by the enemy in front of her.
Mechanics: Eonic Drifter takes an attack of Opportunity on the octopus as it leaves his reach, dealing enough damage to drop it to 0 HP (didn't roll dmg, min exceeds HP). Human scores a critical hit on Lex for 23 piercing damage. Lex is unconscious. Human attacks Yvah, dealing 12 piercing damage.
Daisy steps back into safety from the Drifter Copy, seeing it has already used its reaction this round, and casts Vicious Mockery on the Hexed goliath, likely insulting his bald head. The goliath fails his save, taking 4 psychic damage and 3 necrotic damage. He has disadvantage on the next attack roll he makes.
Daisy HP: 24. AC: 14. Current Spell slots: 0 / 2 1st level. Current Psi Points: 4 / 4 (Psi Limit: 2) Currently Concentrating on: Hex on Goliath.
