Bio

Hey all, JB here.

I'm a DM for a large number of games here on RPG, as well as a player in several others. Many of the games I run are overly complex, or they involve Dungeons and Dragons (which is also overly complex!).

I work 40+ hours a week, and am the proud father of two tiny terrors named Chibi and Chibette and married to my beautiful Wifey. As such, I am quite busy more often than not. I typically write 2-5 paragraphs per reply and try to maintain an excellent level of grammar. If you noticed me glancing at your profile, I probably was looking to see if you would be a good match for my RPing style. Even if I didn't send a PM to you, feel free to send one back!

I enjoy 1x1 RPs and small groups. I'm fond of medieval, steampunk, and futuristic settings, and I'll jump into romance, adventure, and slice of life RPs fairly quickly, although supernatural (vampires, werewolves, etc) RPs get old for me pretty quickly. If you're looking for an RP partner and I've glanced at your profile, then I'm most likely willing to give it a shot, but decided against PMing you because I'm actually kinda shy. But I'm always looking for a new friend!

Please feel free to say hi at any time!

The dance drew to a close; Kimiko's exhilaration wound down slowly as the fiery foes were vanquished. The feeling of victory was one Kimiko almost never felt. Her studies were not challenging enough for her to consider most exams a battle, and she was too demure to force her wishes in any other respect. But this feeling was more than one of accomplishment in a way Kimiko could not describe. The thrill kindled a fire deep within that she never knew could burn so brightly, and she wanted, desired, needed more.

Her thoughts were snapped back to reality with a frigid brutality as Kaede asked of their numbers. Yes, they had lost Frosty. Kimiko had already felt his loss, and she wished to not think further on the subject. But one other companion was no longer with them.

"Okazaki-san." The name was uttered softly, a warm breath reluctant to let its sound spring forth lest the exhilaration moments before betray her. Kimiko inhaled slowly as the realization struck her. The vice president had run off randomly as Kimiko abandoned her promise of protection in her fear and self-importance. Would they find the vice president's body destroyed among the classrooms? Or was Okazaki lost forever?

When the shadow crawled up the side of the building, Katia growled in annoyance. It seemed these mindless foes were beginning to adapt to her strategies. That's less than ideal. Katia swung her staff towards the dark spot that dared to rush her, intending to send the shadow flying from the roof.

Should the fist strike be successful, Katia's intentions were simple: help the less-than-intelligent wizard via a roundhouse kick to his foe's noggin. On the other hand, should her first strike not fell the shade that accompanied her, the second most definitely would. "They're adapting! This isn't good!" she called out as her final blow landed.

Following the frustrations of the political posturing, Ceraun found a quiet corner of the shuttle where she plugged into the massive supercomputer ACASIAS for the most necessary of resource drains possible: listening to music while she felt the natural energy of the planet course through her. Even though the city felt about as artificial as a starship, somewhere beneath the buildings and streets lay soil and the molten core of a living planet. It was all she needed to be at peace, and she basked in her meditative rituals.

That was, of course, until she was interrupted by the message from Virne. Ceraun remained silent until the General had cut communications and had begun bellowing as he was wont to do. "Security is not the concern of the medical team, Creft," she replied pointedly. "I have suggested before that we secure all potentially dangerous equipment with more stringent biometric locks, but that was waved off as being too 'invasive.' The test subjects are not my security concern once they are out of my control, and you know this. I can only work with the tools given to me."

This wasn't the first time one of her suggestions had been ignored, resulting in injury to another. Of course, both she and Creft knew that she generally overshot on her recommendations, as compromise was required on a resource-limited vessel. However, with Zelthis, there was no overstating either the danger he posed or the difficulty in containing him. It was one reason he made such an excellent test subject.
If anyone would like to join, please send @JBRam2002 a PM. We begin with 20 points distributed per Pathfinder rules. Each character will begin at level 10 with 1 rare magic item, 3 uncommon magic items, and 1000 gp. Here is a list of magic items per the SRD.
After the shopping trips came to an end, the party gathered in the center of the shopping center, although Askia and Koan took significantly longer to catch up. Once everyone had gathered, Cynthia led us out of the shopping center and on to the residential area to a tavern. The tavernmaster immediately noticed Cynthia and ushered the group to a private backroom where we could discuss our plans.

The map that Dyn had bought was brought out, and we all took a look at it. The Verdant Stream was, for lack of a better term, to the South, while our boat floated freely in a bubble of air to the North. Based on the scale of the map, the Verdant Stream itself appeared to be a half day's journey away. As all of us had come prepared for an extended journey per the request of the Theullai, it was decided that Reemes and Hana would return to he ship to inform the others of our progress. Cynthia seemed keen to make progress on the journey to the Verdant Stream, but warned us that it was not a journey to be taken lightly.

It seemed a night's rest might be appropriate.

I think one other point to make is that in most cases, bans are not generally instigated by an island. There is likely a mod forum where they discuss several "problem" accounts. I'm sure in most cases where a well-known individual was banned, it was due to a history of bad behavior and not just a single incident. Most people only see the final incident and complain that it didn't meet their personal standards for banning.

In reality, the moderators generally ARE the group that checks the bans. There is no need for a third party arbitration council. This is a private forum run by an individual. I could be banned tomorrow for zero reason and there's nothing I can do about it. The fact that people are allowed to voice their disapproval continuously is a testament to the fact that the mods are being just in the vast majority of cases.
As the group headed downstairs, the sounds of running water increased in volume. Despite the somewhat clumsy clamor of some members of the party, no soldiers or fighters came to greet them. In fact, if it were not for the running water and the slightly foul smell coming from the same direction, the place would be eerily quiet.

The stairwell opened to the South after a small landing. Straight ahead was a short passage and a dead end. To the west was a collapsed section of the tunnel. To the east came the sound of the running water and a passage that ended in a small dimly lit room. To the north was a small passage with a couple of water tanks.

@Nohbdy I would recommend maybe finding a temp pic and hoping the DM is gracious enough to give you a pass. If you no longer wish to participate, however, I do not think further complaints will change anything.
