@LetMeDoStuff Aight, didn't know you lived in Britain either. :o Rest up. I'm glad you're safe!

I mean, I wasn't there, I live further South than Manchester, it's just the fact that the main victims were children got to me extremely badly, especially with all the shitty things piled on top of me.

I feel like adopting the French battlecry: "Ill nes passonte pas." But it's really easy to walk around a boy in a wheelchair
Ima wait for Stuff to post before I do.

Hey, sorry, that might have to wait until tomorrow. Still mentally recovering from the Manchester attack yesterday, as well as preparation for an Exam tomorrow. I'll try my best to get out up ASAP.

I wonder if pizza exists in the AoT universe.

No, but that guy now does.

Wall Rose - Training Grounds

Finally, Schulz began to give them some breathing room. He was surprised as to how he'd reacted to his witty remark, but he couldn't help but feel sorry for Olivia beside him. Either way, everyone at some point would get this "Piece of Schulz" that he already had threatened Grant about. It was whether or not they were going to get used to it and use his strength to fix their weaknesses. Grant knew that he would at least try to manipulate that system, but he had no clue how he was going to do that. Well, that is what training is for, in the end. Besides, he had enough time to get things into formation, depending on how long he'd last for.

Once the groups began to scatter into smaller directions, Olivia managed to subtly gather four individuals, Grant, Gabriel, Reese and herself. Reese and Grant had known each other quite a bit since the Wall had fallen, but not as much as Olivia did. The same went for himself. Both of them knew Olivia more than each other, but the training sessions were likely to change that. Everyone who'd stay in the Cadets long enough were likely going to do the same. Olivia approached him first, poking fun at the name he'd been called. Though, it was only natural for Grant to joke back, as humour was his forte amongst all things. Grant closed his eyes, held a tight fist to his chest like a courteous Lord and held a royal grin.

"Pfft...Someone is jealous that Mr Lucky here gets a nice, burly man with a great personality and..." Before long, he suddenly erupted into a small laughing fit, shedding a tear of delight to his own witty banter. Slowly, he began to calm himself down. "Honestly...I couldn't say that with a straight face, even with my abilities...But hey...Pretty boy is something I've never been called before. I'll take my chances. Better than being called the wrong gender."

He flashed a 'No-Harm-Done' grin towards Reese, already hearing his witty comment towards Gabriel's pet-name. It was kind of upsetting in a way. A circus freak, though Grant hardly got picked up on his height, despite the similarities. Grant knew better than to joke about his side of Schulz's insulting name-calling due to Reese already going ahead and doing so. The humour needed to be fresh enough for it to be comedic and consistent, but the fact that he'd already reacted in a friendly, yet hostile, way meant that it wasn't the safest thing to joke about either. Gabriel was somewhat of a good person to be around sometimes, due to his mask of calmness, but either way the two hadn't spent as long as the other two did with Grant. At least the enlisted together, making a more welcomed environment than there was for some of the other Cadets.

"Heh...Two titans amongst mice, eh?" He nudged Gabriel's side gently with his elbow, folding his own arms back as he grinned back at the other two smaller friends. Everyone else was mostly in a similar spot, where they were smaller, but most likely more nimble than everyone else. However, speed would need to be matched with the skills of the gear they'd be trained to use, which Grant hoped he could balance himself out on nicely, being of a moderate speed.

The two began to head in some random direction, as if a flock of sheep all eager to find entertainment in an empty field. Grant speculated that Olivia was going to get them something to eat, knowing her appetite for literally anything. And before he could ask himself, she spoke the words already. "That felt like it lasted forever, didn't it? You three must be starving."

"I think he makes it feel like forever. I wouldn't take anything the instructor would say to heart though. Mateo used to talk shit about his old Chief Instructor all the time, about how they were all flash, no fury. I'm not saying this guy has no fury, but I presume he's gonna try and get the best out of us by searching for the worst we already have. In my case, he's already caught onto the fact I knew that..." He shook a small amount of dust from his uniform, always being the one to try and look the best part that he was able to look. "Could go for a snack...Could not...I dunno, seeing as you usually judge whether I'm hungry or not. Sooooo, am I hungry, Olivia?"
I think this should be our NPC...

Thanks guys, the unassured talk really boosts my confidence. No but I'm friends of Bells, QT, Prox, and Jinx and they asked me to join so poof here I am, boi.

Ahhh, sorry. I was more checking if I had missed something in the OOC on my behalf, I wasn't doubting your arrival, more than welcomed. I have bad memory for reasons Bell knows, so I was just making sure it wasn't flairing up too.

He posted his character sheet in the CS section not that long ago.

I mean, I was there when he posted that, I was referring to prior to that.
Now that Llama made his character, where in line does he stand?

I honestly didn't even know Llama was in this RP...What did I miss that might've told me that?
@AmbraIf you can't beat him...Join him in humorous glory.

Also, I sort of briefly summed up what may have happened after Shiganshina, just to sort of emphasise that they would've been friends after so she could have the opportunity to drag him by the ears and arms to the enlistment post.

Wall Maria - Shiganshina District

Grant stood there, blindly on the boat, watching as the girl came up thank him of it. He stood there for a while, not sure of how to react. At first he smiled slightly, but it quickly dimmed at the scenery around the two. It was gloomy, depressing and surely melancholic for his future self. Nothing was going to be the same. Nothing was going to be the same for this girl or himself...or anyone, ever again. Everything had been set into motion, as if this were just a catalyst for what his life was about to become. Grant had processed during his experiences of this horrendous tragedy of what his response would be. And there was only one response that could be taken forward, and that was retaliation and remorse for those who had suffered. He had no idea if he had suffered himself, but everyone else surely had.

Grant eyed the girl once more. She was good company, a real good soul on the ship for him to be around. It was warming, hearing the thankfulness she had, even if she didn't seem fully focused on it due to the events that had just happened. Besides all of that, it was definitely something Grant could see, a light in the fog. She, too, would also be a catalyst for the actions he were to commit in the future. As he had no idea they'd spark a friendship right up until the time to enlist would arrive.

"Hey...it's okay...Uhh...As long as people are okay, I'm okay...And I know you might not be and all. I have an Uncle we can meet in Trost, if he makes it there...You can use some of his accommodation if you need a place to stay or a place for food and water...It's Grant, by the way...Grant Hyral."

Two years later...

Grant stared blankly into the invisible target his eyes focused upon. He could just about make out the blur of his head, but his voice was clear and booming. His words were demanding of answers, but his mind must've been judging as he went along. Mateo had spoken of the harshness of Drill Instructors, but he never thought of them like this. However, he was at least grateful to have an insight on what Schulz was going to be like before he and Olivia enlisted together. It was still an awkward day, his enlistment, seeing as Olivia was so keen on doing so that she dragged him all the way there.

He heard the amount of remarks he gave. In Grant's mind, it was quite amusing. He'd never been called Pretty Boy before, and it was definitely one of the better nicknames around the Cadets than the previous victims of Schulz. But Grant saw an opportunity to try and get a bit of a laugh with the instructor, by deliberately agreeing with him in a comical sense. It was a risky move, but with what all these people were going through, he might of well have handed his life over to the man. He was strict, and discipline was of the highest standard, just exactly what Grant wanted out of training. He didn't want to train to become an incompetent soldier, and this was definitely the choice to go for. They all needed to be shaped up, Grant knew it for everyone and himself. The world of the war on Titans was one that served with many losses, tragedies and critical thinking. They would need to prepare for the worst to become the best.

"Sir, we've all been hit by the horrors of Shiganshina, I speak for everyone to say we know what it spills like...Plus,
I'd thought you'd needed a little extra cannon-fodder, sir...Just in case you ran out."
The time for the comedic joke was something against himself, but it was a joke that was worthwhile. It proved Schulz right. He said he wasn't capable to fight the Titans, and he damn-well hoped he could. Mateo was there to give him written tips via letters about how some of the basic tests are run like, giving him that slightly advantage. But calling himself cannon-fodder just made him what the instructor had called everyone else...A living corpse.
