This sounds like a real good RP, so color me interested

Glad to have your interest. Any questions, queries or general suggestions you want to put forward for the benefit of the scenario?

The Battle of Demeter was a kick-start in the Frontier Militia's progressive goal of securing and freeing their planetary homes from the IMC. A deadly battle resulting in the ignition of a reactor fractured and threw the IMC into disposition, being cut off from reinforcements. Now at a battle where they could no longer expend their forces, the IMC increased their struggles into defensive stances against the newfound strength their adversaries faced. Many of the IMC's soldiers also defected to their opposing side, splitting the forces into an even split and balancing the scale between both forces. Prior to the significant confrontation between both sides on Demeter, the Militia went through a heavy process of reunification, fragmenting it into a stable and large fighting force with organisation, ranking and tactical command structure. It was through these times that the entries of regiments, specialist groups and splinter factions formed within the Militia for the pilots of Titans, one of which included the Corsair Platoon.

The Corsairs were a select group of Pilots noted for having odd talents and quirks that assisted them in battle. Originally a section beneath the Marauder Corps under the command of Sarah Briggs, acting as a training module for potential candidates of her specialist branch, the Corsairs were eventually given a privileged divisional promotion, granting them the independence of a fully-fledged Piloting Group. As of today, the Militia have reconfigured the importance of their divisions and proudly instated several different Captains, Majors and Commanders to guide them throughout the Frontier War. No longer were they a training body for those wanting to join the Marauders, but an even smaller and more unique passage in the Milita's 6th Fleet. Assigned their own tasks, missions, objectives and chief of staff, they gained traction and slight notoriety among the ever-progressing war. History for the Corsairs doesn't go back many years, however, being one of the more recent factions within the Militia. Most of those within its ranks were part of the Battle for Demeter, though only as supporting roles or from within other regiments. Some shared roots to basic riflemen whilst others were enlisted into the Pilot's programme right on the get-go. Nevertheless, it was a rather average regiment that failed to gain as much attention as their superior counterparts within the Marauders.

In more recent months, the Corsairs had seen an open selection process for new pilots and veterans alike who were considered to be more abnormal in comparison to the standard pilot. Some held track records of disobeying orders whilst others were gifted with a strange fanaticism with their movement and connection towards their titans. After many weeks of debate, they were finally granted allowances of 30 to 40 new pilots within their ranks, slowly growing into what their name suggested, a platoon. Heavy emphasis on training, defense and outlandish guerrilla tactics were adopted into their regular schedules in order for their commanding officer to secure a use for his troops. The recent years had seen the Corsairs prior to their reformation face judgement from many other groups and divisions throughout the militia for their incoherent and illogical purpose. Hopefully, this reformation would change that.

Small incursions against the IMC through raiding parties, support companies and other low-importance operations were given to these pilots, allowing them to fully place their skills into the field without the need of a battleground of mass proportions. Special equipment was given to these soldiers who pursued success in their ranks and eventually they were deemed a Specialised Operations Platoon for Titan Warfare (SOPTW). This leap forward finally secured them the place in the Militia that they desired, and the eventual granting of missions were handed out in the plenty. Bountiful amounts of experience could finally be given to these misfits and strange pilots, right up until the Battle of Brabantio.

Under the direct command of the 6th Militia Fleet, the Corsair Platoon were enlisted in the crucial objective known as Operation: Dust line. The original plan conceived by their superiors was to assault and liberate many IMC outposts on the planet of Brabantio, where mountains, large fielded plains and great metropolitan cities were blended together. Much of the planet had been under the rule of the IMC for a while, especially during its conversion into an urban planet. Most of its surface was industrial or civilian infrastructure, rendering the planet almost as a city of its own accord. However, this battle would soon take a turn for the worst. Many lives would be lost, records and accounts of the battle would be scattered and purposefully forgotten about, seeing the defeat as something of an embarrassment. Yet despite the initial aftermath, many survivors would find themselves stranded, alone and separated from their allies. Amongst these survivors were members of the Corsairs Platoon, who were now being tasked with upholding the full intention of the Operation...

For those who haven't clocked it, this is indeed a Titanfall-based scenario following a Battle that went extremely wrong. Similar to the Battle of Typhon, Brabantio sees a lot of influence from small forces who'd survived the initial attack being given the mantle of responsibility towards completing an objective far greater than they would have imagined. The roles we will be taking up will, of course, be those within the Corsair Platoon, an oddly structured collective of Pilots and Titans primarily used for smaller operations. Out of their comfort zone, a long string of character interaction, narration and conflict between the overwhelming IMC presence will develop them to potentially be more orderly, understanding of morality and trusting in those they share the platoon of.

Most of the Platoon are made up of Pilots from many different regiments or from occasional recruits recently passing their certification in combat, seeing them as prodigies among their classes. With an array of weapons, each armed with a personalised and unique Titan, their blend of skill and wit will be challenged as they try to recover, complete their objective and escape Brabantio before its eventual collapse. The question is, who will make it out alive and who will join the ever-growing death count of the battle?

Character submissions will be done in the OOC when the thread is made, so that no wasted effort is used within the interest check. I honestly do not mind how many people see interest in this, or how many join on, as the story can be ever changing. Others can join throughout the story as scavenged survivors whilst some will eventually die when they wish to drop out or create a new character. Alongside each Pilot we create is the Titan, one that will be explained in much more depth with the OOC thread. All the classes available, including weaponry, abilities and cores will be shown there, and the designs can be decided by you alone to what suits your character. Hopefully this gains some interest, and to those who are, I thank you for reading this.
Site bugs are holding me back. Sorry, be patient
Not especially; mostly just waiting for a CS to start working.

I apologise for me speed in working, just clearing up a tonne of essays. Will finish the OOC ASAP. Thanks for baring with me
For the time being, does anyone have any queries or concerns they would like to be addressed?
Wow, I loved DE:HR, and the cyberpunk genre is right up my alley, so I'm definitely in on this.

Great! I'll start finalising the OOC in the coming days!
@GhosthandsNope, shouldn't be any spoilers for M-D. It's a separate storyline that only ties into the lore at the most. I'll steer clear from those
@Krayzikk@SmileyJaws@Plank SinatraWould love to have you if your time isn't taken up.

@MaraI had a hard time choosing between the Jensen and Dalton eras, but for the idea a post-aug incident felt most fitting.

The year is 2028; the month of February has only just begun. Less than a year ago, a single man in Panchaea caused one of the globe's most catastrophic tragedies to ever come around. Known simply as the Aug-Incident, the use of human augmentations becoming mainstream within society had sparked unprecedented danger at the press of a button. From a bio-chip almost every augmented human located on the planet, whether or not the augmentation was their own decision in the first place, was given to, mass aggression and uncontrollable actions of violence spouted from the lips and heads of these puppet souls. More than 50,000,000 innocent lives across the atlas were brought to an end, with hundreds of thousands more being simply injured. Whilst the man behind it all originally had good intentions, his morals were the result of the boiling point of one of humanity's greatest crisis's. This event tore apart not only minds, families and communities, but it divided humanity apart. It was from this day forward that not only the world would be plunged into an uneasy chaos, but the unity and progress of the New World Society had fallen closer to the clutches of a hidden-from-view Order with mankind at its fingertips.

The aftermath took less than no time to settle in. Riots broke out instantaneously. Those affected, injured or scarred by the unintentional hostility augmented individuals had brought upon them began to take a fight back, taking individuals from the streets to never be seen or heard of again. Vigilante groups formed who sought only to push their extremist and oppressive views out past the government in the newfound proxy war between mercenary and terrorist organisations. Many nations deployed their finest law enforcement firms onto the streets, but even the hearts and minds of many officers of the law would too fall under this corrupt and biased view on the augmented. As soon as the martyr's wish of the dangers of augmenting humanity, the corrupted spread their influence like wildfire. Those who were innocent were caught between an ever-growing oppressive battle between transhuman-augmentations thrown into complexes designed to imprison and captivate the masses and the pro-human collective. Unsure of whether or not this threat would ever cool, the boiling point was reached and the rise for resistance finally began to show.

February 5th, 2028. Less than three weeks ago, a woman under the alias of 'Frihet' gathered a select group of trusted collaborators within the confinements of the now infamous Abri Complex located on the outskirts of Amiens. Officially the successor to the Útulek Complex, located in the Czech Republic and primarily prominent in 2029. This French Refuge shelter built by an unknown contender to the Santeau Group had this location built to ideally build a community for those in need within French cities, as well as within nearby European countries. Yet, as some might suspect, the complex fell into corruption as anti-augmentation activists both within the police force and vigilante groups evicted many "Unregistered" augmented civilians here, where power and abuse came at the hands of the stationed enforcement units. From an urban paradise to what seemed to be a futuristic slum, those like 'Frihet' were left at the brink of death and defeat. That was until she came into contact with several friends.

Frihet began to orchestrate her own movement from within the shadows of the Abri Complex, rearming themselves to finally take back the dignity and innocence that was unlawfully stripped from their circuits. Smuggled weapons, and the advantages of having one or numerous augmentations to their bodies allowed for an extra edge to compensate for a lack of training that those without military background suffered from. The group was small, intentionally small. Frihet couldn't risk anyone who became under their new title. Several more recruits that Frihet personally trusted were taken into the ranks, bulking up a very small fraction of their minute numbers. She even outsourced to a few non-augmented individuals who agreed with their cause. But with the tensions rising, the upcoming siege for the Abri Complex and an unknown goal set by Frihet herself, will those under her command be able to come to terms with her true final act of revolution?

Welcome to my upcoming idea for a new roleplay, stationed around a unique story within the Deus Ex franchise. As some will be able to speculate, this is set in-between the events of Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, where the struggles of a smaller group become an act of corruption within itself. Whilst the franchise itself does require some knowledge of what is required for the Roleplay, I am not exactly expecting a huge amount from you. If you wish to join without any prior knowledge to the series, a few visits to the wikia page will allow you to find whatever details you need. Anything else can be answered by myself or others.

Now, as for a bit more information on the roleplay itself. The setting is obviously going to change after a while, but begins in the Abri Complex. Here, new and already established members of the Augmented Coalition will be introduced, as played by us. With numerous side characters to be implemented, the size of the group depends on how we see fit. As stated in the introduction above, there isn't actually a restriction on non-augmented individuals, however that does come at the restriction of several aug-capabilities that are allowed for these characters, which can be compensated with the potential acceptance into society. These characters will work under the woman of command, Frihet, who acts as a mysterious figure in charge of this small militia force building up inside the corrupted city walls. With the chance to cause an uprising or inspiration of survival, many of those within the organisation itself would believe they are fighting to unite humanity once more, aiming only to harm those who threaten the coexistence once more. But a secret meaning is being hidden from plain site...

Specifically on the characters, there are a number of unique backgrounds you can choose from. The most common would be a civilian volunteer, having known or made contact with Frihet in the recent weeks prior to the beginning of the story. Some may have a bit of experience in the field of revolutionary combat, whilst others will only have the training that the organisation could spare under incognito. Following that, you have the backgrounds of high-end supporters. This includes businessmen, augmented manufactures, medical staff etc; all of these would have seen the devastation and perhaps signed up to re-balance society, whether it was for their benefit or everyone's'. The least common background allowed will be Law Enforcement, and the potentially Military Background prior to the Aug-Incident. These will need to be recommended, to which only one or two will be accepted at most. Supporting these backgrounds can also be a list of roles or specializations each character is trained within. So far, though subject to change on interested's requests, there are the roles of 'Enforcer', 'Infiltrator', 'Hacker', others along those lines of stereotypical Deus Ex traits. Others, such as weapon masters and proficient espionage personnel can also be up for debate.

Overall, the plot itself is getting a few kinks here and there, but with its completion nearly done, I hope to see how much interest this can attract. Thanks for reading this, and if you have any questions regarding the Roleplay at hand then by all means ask away!
Heyo. Will be working on a post soon, I hope. If anyone else wishes to post, go ahead, but until then I'll try my hardest to overcome this sickness and post
