Section #1: Jig Being Right

It has come to my attention, that I am primarily right and drunk.

Jig is completely right.

Jig is right.

[11.01.50] Gowi:

Jig is right. Feel free to send that along.

[Jig is] 100% correct.

Jig was right 8 months ago, and is still right.

I love you, Jig. It's because you're Always Right™.

Once again, Jig is absolutely right about this.

Where is Jig when I need to vent about politics?
Drunk.

The mighty Jig is of course right.

When we hit OoC (ie: when I've done tomorrow's exam and am sober enough to do it) I'll post sheets and such, but I've still got bits I'm working out myself.

In other, and contradictory, news:

We're got waaayy more interest than (a) I was expecting (so brilliant!) but also than (b) I can accommodate.

I'm not gonna run the 'selection process' as a first-come-first-served. Instead, what I think I'm going to do is post the sheet, or elements of it, and ask you to PM me your character, and then, basically, I choose my players based on what I'm sent.

I know it's kind of a dick move to ask you to actually work on this and then potentially say that thanks but I'm going to go with somebody else, but I really don't know how else to choose. If anybody has any other ideas for how I can choose the players for this, I really am all ears, because I can't see how this would work with more than six player characters but don't like asking people to work on stuff they may not get to use.
Yo, I am checking this, but apparently not as frequently as in the Advanced Section. :P

You've both found your way over to Advanced, so well done. Anybody else looking at this should probably traipse over to Advanced as well. :)
I have the perfect character in mind.

This is about the level of detail I want to see in the OoC. :P

Jig is very intense about it. This is something that I can say you do not want to mess with. Wrath of Jig IC is terrifying.

It should also be noted that while I am intensely vengeful when the mood takes me, at all other times, I am exceedingly lovely.
I am extremely interested in this!

Any particular information you'd like me to include in the character sheet I send you?

When we hit OoC territory, I'll be more specific. In the meantime, think about

  • Your secret
  • Whether you would like to be the murderer
  • Whether your character is prepared to murder
  • How your character is expecting to deal with the situation: compromise, giving in, murder, threats, etc

Might as well type my interest here as well! I'd love to make a sort of tv-personality, maybe a medium who makes money off of exaggerated stories and readings. Anyway, super interested!

Nice ideas.

The only thing I'll say to them is never ever tell another player anything about your character! Even if it's extremely vague or basic information: one of my big things in this is that it should be impossible to meta-game. I'm not telling you anything; you're not telling each other anything.

Unless it's established IC, the other players shouldn't even know your character's name.

Kirah is in Wolf Manor. She can vouch for how intense I am on the secrecy thing. :P
Music is the one place I appear to be lacking in...simply because I can't do it <<
I didn't know you played, Jig Lennon. Good on you! I own an acoustic guitar and frankly I'm terrified of it <<

I have precisely zero musical talent. It's just about finding the ways that you can work well with somebody that can adapt their teaching style to suit them and, yes, practice.

If you want to tit about with some music, I really recommend getting a shitty cheap ukulele. Shouldn't set you back more than $20, and there's only four strings, and almost all of the basic chords are dead easy. Obviously it gets more challenging as you start to think about different kinds of chords and playing individual notes rather than just chords to sing over.

The best part is, it's so cheap that if you don't like it, you haven't really lost anything, and if you, like me, do, you can upgrade to a serviceable piece of kit for very little (in the musical instrument world).
Getting some interest on this, which is gr8.

I'm probably going to be throwing in as many murder mystery clichés as I can, if only for my own amusement, so if you think of any (or anything else more generally) you'd like to see, lemme know. :)
Great minds and all that. :P
Crikey. You want to go through Wolf and this simultaneously?
With those levels of knowledge in mind, the more serious levels of meta-gaming are avoided simply by most players not knowing others deepest secrets. But the best way to prevent it in our opinion is to have a good group that talks together and communicates. Breed the right attitude in the players, and you avoid it.

Basically the ultimate GM advice right there.
Glad to hear it! I'm currently in exam season, after which I'm scheduling a small breakdown and some RL time, so don't expect me to get this off the ground immediately. But it's great to have interest so soon!
