Ash smiled slightly as the girl handed him back his saw. So they had a deal! Finally, things were looking up for Ash. Now he had a different, much less important question on his hands. Wait it out for the guests to arrive, or start the trek back to his mansion. Sure, if he waited out here than it would project openness and portray Nina's rescue as 'something that just happened' but that also left them open for questions they weren't prepared for. Priority one should be getting back into the city at the least.
"Good. Let's go back to my place than. We can-" He cut himself off as he heard something. Or he thought he did. A squeak of some kind. Was whoever following him already here? It could be a coincidence but...
"Huh. That was weird. Ah well, let's get you back to the city. Follow me; these forests can be confusing for first timers." He would pretend they didn't exist. Act as if this was totally what they would say to each other even when not under surveillance. Hopefully she caught on. These early first impressions were the most important. The only time more remembered than when you first meet a person is the last. They would need to make it back and hash out more of a plan, but they were going to meet much oppisition. A human on the loose? Followed by THE Ash Hare? What a story.
♥ System
System smiled and nodded as Isa and Dorkle greeted her. Though, her smile quickly turned into a frown as Dorkle told System what had been relayed to him by the Royal Guard member they were both speaking to. Apparently there was a human on the loose. System hadn't heard much about them honestly. They seemed more like myth than fact, but if she remembered correctly they were true... When Dorkle suggested putting up fliers and the such about this event, System nodded solemnly.
"I may join you in that..." she added.
The rabbit boy who had scolded her for not returning her books sooner a while ago jumped down from up above, giving her a sour looking stare. It seemed he wanted to pitch in on ideas about protecting the people of the Underlake. His ideas weren't horrible, but she felt the idea was obvious. If the guards could be spared, they would be, right? Still, it wasn't a horrible idea. A better one he suggested was educationg everyone on what humans were, what they looked like and how they attacked. The front cover of the book displayed a skeleton like her. Oh yeah, some humans looked like her, didn't they? She hoped this wouldn't spell trouble.
DT is a general super form kind of thing, how to put it, it does indeed make your styles stronger because generally you just became stronger, so more accurately, your Huntress style becomes faster, and Beasthood style becomes stronger during DT, it's already assumed you can switch between the two styles on the fly, so you don't really need to have both styles gain the traits of the other, because you can use both fairly freely.
As for Vileblood... Actually, why not make that your Devil Trigger? You take a somewhat demonic form, heightened defenses and such, but can still use your weapon. That said, seeing as your character is still largely human, your form actually won't change very much, you'll still look quite human, maybe with glowing eyes and growing some scales or fur depending on the attribute of your demonic powers.
Otherwise Flip-Off looks fine, and so does Demon's Omen and Chomp!
Yeah yeah that's what I meant, either have her demon-type form as a style, or a DT. Okay, the changes to Mary are complete. This should be the final draft. Hopefully. You can review her again back at where I posted her in the OOC. Thanks.
Hate to double post, but I'm making some changes to Mary and I would like to ask, would this be better as a 'devil trigger' or a style?
Style: Vileblood, LV 1 - This style gives Mary defense. Tapping into her tainted demonic blood transforms her into a horned beast that cannot use weapons. Luckily, her new form is much sturdier than her frail human body, allowing her to block attacks.
"Devil Trigger" type thing: Temporarily, Mary can assume a more demon like form, Becoming both as fast as her Huntress Style and as powerful as her Beasthood style, with added defenses and regeneration too. Still, she will only use this as a last resort, a reminder that she is no longer fully human.
Also lemme run this technique by you. Huntress Flip-off - Mary flips into the air and kicks FLB into the opponent, before quickly dashing towards them and ripping it out.
And, if Vileblood is a Style than she'd need some techniques, so... Vileblood Chomp! - Mary grabs the opponent and takes a large bite out of them, restoring a small amount of health. Demon's Omen - An explosive roar that deals no damage, but knocks small opponents back.
Hmm. Viewing Blaire gave me some more ideas. I may run some techniques to add by you guys some time soon. Might have an idea for another Style too, but i probably wanna hold off on that and purchase it with points.
Damn me for posting so quick!
EDIT: Yeah I just realized I posted Mary a bit too quick. I'm gonna make some small (and some not so small) edits, if that's okay with you all.
@Kafka Komedy That looks like an RP worth joining, though I unfortunately have precisely tangential knowledge about any of those games. Maybe I will, chances are I won't, but it looks fun nonetheless. That said, I'd personally recommend sticking to your guns with the video game music for the sake of similarity, especially given the inclusion of lyrics in the new song.
@Major Ursa Never heard of Once Upon a Time, so that'll likely be a no-go for me. Sorrah.
Got it, ill stick to the videogame stuff. Also i understand not having a lot of knowledge being a detriment. Though Sho a great job describing it, it really is a good idea to play one of the series most recent game first.
....*pushed into the RP plugging room*
I guess I might as well join in since everyone else is shamelessly doing it. ^^"
I am also running an Undertale RP (but it's the sequel to the game) It's called Overtale, with our Great Ferret GM as THE GREAT PAPYRUS! XD The more the merrier! So feel free to check it out.
Jeez thats a big backlog... Looks interesting, but i do believe im undertale-d out at the moment. And also i dislike playing as canon characters, which is why i probably wont be joining OUATale either. Sorry guys!
Well, naked guy is now gone. Good job, Eeeeeeeeeeee, you've made Rodney and Skylar's jobs that much harder. I'll probably make a post with my guys shortly.
By the way, folks, I hate to be that guy who plugs things, but if anybody happens to be interested in RWBY RPs, there's a game here that needs more players. I just figured, since I'm making a post to confirm my presence anyway, that I might as well mention this while I'm at it.
Looks pretty cool, but I wanna limit myself on RPs for now since sometimes it takes me a while to write like a 2 paragraph post. But hey, if we're all plugging stuff...
I feel like I owe it to Lugs to promote this thing he and Sho is doing here. It's DMC, Bayo, and Darksiders all roled into one. The only way it could be better is if Dark Souls was somehow incorporated. Feel free to ignore this, but he asked and I feel like this RP really deserves a lot of players.
In other news, my question never really got answered so I'm gonna ask again.
Holy shit I can't believe I forgot about this song. It works almost better as an 'normal' theme for Ash than the one I had selected from the game he's based on. Also that music video is pure badassness. I'm real tempted to change it, you guys' thoughts?
Sorry for all that stuff, just wanted to get it all out of the way at once.
Personality: Hair triggered with a penchant for violence. He is unafraid of playing dirty and will use every trick in the book. (Plus some outside it!)
Bio: Born to Mr. Hare, a ridiculously wealth and ridiculously uncaring man who lived in Stalac Heights, Mr. Hare had no time for his son and pushed all responsibility to his butler, Nelson. Nelson taught Ash reading, writing, pretty much everything. Young Ash responded with standard problem child behavior, crying and violence and the such. Nelson attempted to help, but was not well versed in the area, and Mr. Hare just threw money at the situation. Ash grew up resenting his father, frequently building "death devices" that would kill his father in odd ways, but almost all were given up on in the planning stage, the only one ever making it to prototype was the "Drillsaw." Eventually, Mr. Hare died of "mysterious circumstances." Some say he died of old age, some say he was murdered. Only Ash and Nelson really know.
Relations:
Eyeclopsiel - Emotionless, unfit ruler that is trying to steal the proverbial crown away!
System - Ally for hire, could be used to 'investigate' Eyeclopsiel. Ash swears he's seen her before though...
Angel - She covered Mr. Hare's death. She refuses to pick a candidate. Keep a safe distance.
Mr. Hare - Dead.
Nelson - Ah, good ol' Nelson. Ash's assistant and caretaker. Also helping with the campaign!
Dorkle - Ash's 'supplier.'
Skill: Surprisingly intuitive and creative. Also, commands with ease (That is to say- bossy.)
Weapon: Rusty Drillsaw [Essentially a giant sawblade that's hollow in the middle. Ash can hop in and propel it in any direction with his fire magic.]
Armour: Torn Cape
Fight: Though Ash can attack with his Drillsaw and fire magic, his true strength comes in using actions that don't require weaponry .He can throw sand in the opponents eyes [Cuts to another attack similar to the Sans fight], Trip the opponent, [Halves move-speed for current attack], Throw a rock [A rock falls from the top of the box during the current attack] and use the environment [Depends on his battleground]. His fire magic also reduces Invincibility frames. Luckily, they're orange, so as long as you're moving, you're safe.
Genocide Ash understands how powerful the human is, and refuses to even give them a chance. Every time his combatant selects the ATTACK command, Ash will throw sand in the humans face so he can attack before they can. He will use at least one trick per turn and after the first few, he'll start using double tricks. His rock throw turns into a knife throw dealing twice the damage, and drops slightly faster. He can use his blue flame burst after some attacks, and his orange fire is now powerful enough to cover the entire screen as well, ensuring you have to be moving at all times during the attack.
But of course Ash will get tired eventually. After ATTACking 10 times, Ash admits hes out of time. He lets the human attack. He disappears and the text box displays YOU WON!
"NICE TRY ***HOLE!!!" Ash throws sand in the opponents face, trips them, throws a knife at them, and uses the environment all at the same time. He then Orange Flame Bursts, forcing the human to run and run, lest they be cooked by his magical flames. Then he abruptly throws sand in their face and Blue Flame Bursts, forcing the poor soul to stand idly in the licking flames. He very quickly switches between these two attacks, orange, blue, orange, blue, orange... until he's out of time.
"Nelson... Dad... so many regrets..."
Act: [*Check] 10 ATK 25 DEF. He looks a little peeved, frankly. [*Flirt] First time he spends a turn being flustered. After that, his attacks get faster. If used after nudity, possible date unlocked, possibly. [*Nudity] GOD D**NIT HE'S NOT NAKED, OKAY? [*Vote] You say you're going to vote for him. ATK reduced for one turn. [*Dead] You pretend to be dead. He doesn't buy it. If used after Turn reaches 5, successfully tricks Ash.
If you have campaign buttons in your INV: Ash Campaign Button - A frown can be seen on his face for just a split second. Reduces ATK for 3 turns. Can instantly Play Dead. Eyeclopsiel Campaign Button - His eyes glow a sickly blood red. Raises ATK for 3 turns, If turn count is above 5, set turn count to 0. If it is not, lower it by 2.
Mercy: Ash must be alone. Can let anybody think he's a loser! There is a special "Turn Count" bar that goes from -2 to 5. It starts on 0, and any time You take an action, it raises by one. Once it hits 5, [*Dead] now successfully tricks Ash into thinking you've died. But before he leaves, he needs to make sure. He charges up a 'special attack', Blue Flame Burst. It's a cyan attack that fills the entire box. As long as you don't move, you won't get hit by it, and Ash leaves thinking he's won.
Name: Maria Dahl Gender: Female Age: 23 Race: Human?
Appearance: She does not have the robot-esque hands. Her hands are normal.
Faction: Order of the Sword
Personality: An intelligent lady who is naturally sweet, but unflinchingly honest, mainly because she doesn't realize when she says something rude. Fairly easily persuaded and trusting. Also very quiet, even though she believes she is right almost always due to being praised for most all of her life. She shares a natural sympathy for demons and angels due to her interactions and bond with Hunter, but will still kill demons or angels and adapt their technologies and allow others to experiment on them. The dead have no regrets after all.
She has a supreme hatred of her silvery blood, becoming ashamed and almost vomiting at it's sight. She also only use her demon-like form as an absolute last resort.
Bio: Born and raised in Sweden, she was a star student in school and quickly rose the academic ranks, going to college at only 15. With double degrees in both Theology and Engineering, the incident at Fortuna naturally interested her. At 19 She moved there and attempted to get closer to the Order by joining it, but realized that, as management changed hands the organization now fought for good. Her skill allowed her to work under the Head Researcher, a man with the visage of an demon named Hunter.
The old man treated her like his daughter, doting and focusing on her as if she was his own. He had never had a child due to his experiments turning him into a demon, and she had never had a father, so the glove seemed to fit. As the man grew older though, he realized that he was going to have to pass his work onto her. His last project before he retired was a bio-engineering magnum opus that aimed to give the power of the divine to humans without making them horrific beasts or sacrificing themselves to demonhood. Maria was to be the recipient.
The experiment wasn't a complete success. Though Mary didn't completely sacrifice her humanity and become a demon, she is no longer fully human. She has spliced her blood with that of a demon's. Though she is not a demon she can become a demon-like creature at will, and her blood is a sickly luminous white. Both she and Hunter refused to report this to Kyrie and Nero, instead pretending that the experiment just made her faster and stronger. Currently, she is trying to figure out a way to dissuade The Order from adopting this mutation for regular use, all while caught up in the middle of the apocalypse. What's a girl to do, ey?
[Combat]
Powers and Abilities: unnatural almost demonic strength and speed, though her body is still as frail as a human's.
Devil Trigger: A more bestial form bestowing her lots of fur, razor sharp teeth and claws, and antlers. This mode givers her increased power, defense, and speed. But she can only use this for a limited amount of time, and hates revealing her demon visage. She also gains some DT-specific techniques.
Style: Huntress, LV 1 - This style gives Mary speed. Her focus in this mode will be to allow the enemy to wear itself out, quickly dodging in and out of it's range and lightly attack before escaping. At LV 1 this allows her great boosts of speed similar to a dodge in any direction, except up or down.
Beasthood, LV 1 - This style gives Mary power. Her focus in this mode is to completely curb stomp the enemy, relentlessly attacking it until it's not more than dust. At LV 1 this allows her to hold either both a firearm and a melee weapon at the same time, or a ridiculously large two handed weapon.
Equipment:
A long handgun infused with divine power so that it may harm demons and angel. Crafted by both Hunter and Mary as their first duo project.
A large scimitar that cuts through the air (and everything else) like butter. She may also attach it to the handle made of angel bone to transform it into a scythe when in Beasthood Style. Hunter's weapon for when he was still gathering materials "in the field."
Thin and deft like a falling leaf, this sword seems to be loosely based off that of a Lumen Sage's. One of Mary's more recent projects.
PoD Unload: A simple three-shot burst. Headshot: A quick unflinching bullet to the head.
BS Reverse Cleave: A backhanded slash to launch the opponent backwards. Head Buster: A small leap into a powerful downward slice that could shatter much with ease. Weapon Trick: When in Beasthood Style, can transform the weapon into a scythe.
BS - Scythe Hell-a-copter: Multiple spins above the head designed to decapitate multiple foes at once. Logarius' Spin: A quick circular slice to the left, then right. Can be done while moving.
FLB Devil's Heart: A quick rush forward with a stab through the heart with the short end of the blade. Flowing In Wind: A quick 3 hit combo in the air. Kick: A full force kick designed to break an enemy's guard.
Huntress Dash: A quick step in any direction. Flip-off: Mary flips into the air and kicks FLB into the opponent, before quickly dashing towards them and ripping it out.
Beasthood Final Slash: A stab through the heart with the FLB that holds the opponent in place before Mary knocks them back with a shot to the head from PoD. Bloodstorm: A quick sweeping spin with BS, accompanied with a spray of bullets at the same time.
Devil Trigger Chomp! - Mary grabs the opponent and takes a large bite out of them, restoring a small amount of health. Demon's Omen - An explosive roar that deals no damage, but knocks small opponents back.
Appearance: (She does not have the robot-esque hands. Her hands are normal.) She's a tall woman of slim build and average muscle. She sports platinum blonde hair that goes to right above the shoulder, and hides it in her bonnet thingy. She is fair-skinned, and has a nice, soft face, with slightly thin lips, and a petite nose. Her bust size is a bit below average, and she has slender legs. Her hands are surprisingly quite soft, and she does not wear any sort of nail polish. Her hips are quite wide, but hidden under her antique dress.

Firebrand Trigger: Fairly similar to her DT, except fiery. A trail of magma follows behind her, seeping out of her legs, and she's able to enhance her attacks with explosions.
Along with a general speed boost, of course. LVL 2 - Flashsteps, incredible jumps, wall running, etc. LVL 3 - Corporeal Illusions
Beasthood, LV 1 - This style gives Mary power. Her focus in this mode is to completely curb stomp the enemy, relentlessly attacking it until it's not more than dust. Equipment:
A long handgun infused with divine power so that it may harm demons and angel. Crafted by both Hunter and Mary as their first duo project. [LV 2] The gun becomes full auto. [LV 3] Infuse blood into the bullets to increase their power.
A large scimitar that cuts through the air (and everything else) like butter. She may also attach it to the handle made of angel bone to transform it into a scythe when in Beasthood Style. Hunter's weapon for when he was still gathering materials "in the field." [LV 2] Demonic thorns cover the blade, dealing more damage and inflicting bleeding. [LV 3] Add a Exceed Engine to the BS.
Made of Orpheus, a human turned demon by rejecting the gods, this jitte has the ability to manipulate vibrations. At level one, it may simply generate these vibrations, useful for audial trickery or enhanced attacks. [LV 2] Manipulate existing vibrations. [LV 3] The vibrations become magical, not needing a medium to travel through.
Obtained from Lily, Mary now has the ability to summon simple weapons by solidifying magic. Because of their ephemeral nature, they're mostly used as throwing weapons. At level one, Mary can summon both spears and shuriken to throw. The shuriken are faster, and more than one can be thrown at a time in Huntress, while the spears fly farther, and are a bit more powerful. [LV 2] Mary can now summon swords to act as a shield. [LV 3] Mary now has complete control of all summoned weapons.
PoD Unload: A simple three-shot burst. Headshot: A quick unflinching bullet to the head.
BS Reverse Cleave: A backhanded slash to launch the opponent backwards. Head Buster: A small leap into a powerful downward slice that could shatter much with ease. Dropkick: Plant the BS into the ground, using it as a pole to dropkick an enemy. Can break an enemy's guard. Weapon Trick: When in Beasthood Style, can transform the weapon into a scythe. Ariel Rave: A quick few slashes while in the air. Launcher - Send the opponent into the air with an upward strike. Following them up is optional.
BS - Scythe Hell-a-copter: Multiple spins above the head designed to decapitate multiple foes at once. Logarius' Spin: A quick circular slice to the left, then right. Can be done while moving. Hell and Back: Throw the BS-S towards an enemy, before it returns.
TE Beat: Enhance one's strikes by forcing the jitte to vibrate. Capriccio: Replicate a simple sound at any volume. Intermezzo: A blast of vibrational energy that travels straight forward for a short distance before dispersing. Falsetto: Generate a loud, incredibly high pitched sound to deafen allies and enemies alike.
PP Shuriken Storm - Mary spins around quickly, throwing out as many shuriken as possibly. Firework - Mary launches a spear, and shortly after it sticks into something, it bursts into magical energy. Sawblade - A trio of large shuriken crawl across the floor, slicing up anything in their way. Lance a lot - Mary summons a huge spear, and can use it almost like a lance. Air Trick - Summon a spear as a stepping stone to jump again.
Huntress Dash: A quick step in any direction. Demon's Soul - A quick dash forward, ending when the BS is firmly planted into an enemy's heart. Accelerando Dash: Dash, using TE to enhance the distance traveled.
Beasthood Bloodstorm: A quick sweeping spin with BS, accompanied with a spray of bullets at the same time. Duet: TE can enhance both itself and another weapon with Beat. Waltz: Use TE to spin in a circle with both that and the BS out.
Devil Trigger Chomp! - Mary grabs the opponent and takes a large bite out of them, restoring a small amount of health. Demon's Omen - An explosive roar that deals no damage, but knocks small opponent's back.
Firebrand Trigger Magma Dash - A quick burst of speed that leaves a thick trail of lava behind Mary. Rondo of Burn - Use the vibrations of TE to create a wave of lava. Some of her attacks have small explosive AoEs added.

Hope that's okay. It's 1 AM over here so I may have borked something. If so, don't hesitate to tell me.
