Hello Everyone. Welcome to my page. Feel free to call me Ms. Winters Or Major Winters. Most people do. I have been with the guild over three years now. I have many RPs and 1x1s. Feel free to take a look. I am 45 (Yes I know I am older than most). I am an online college student going for my masters in marriage and family counseling. I have been happily married for 22 years. I have two gremlins. I love to read. We started a YouTube channel to share our randomness.

How did Devika get groceries?

They had arrived at the right time because the pizza arrived just as Roxy unlocked the door to the apartment. She signed the receipt before heading inside. She set the box on the table before going to the cupboard. "Do you want a plate and some silverware?" She asked. She knew some people eat pizza like that. She didn't understand it but she would respect Devika's choice if that was what she wanted to do. "What would you like to drink. I have several sodas and I think the milk should still be safe to drink."

well I guess everyone has lost interest
Ok. I'm still going to use the ship. Even unable to move there are ways to trap them.
"Fine." Roxy snapped. Part of her was relieved. She was no longer completely responsible for Jess' well being. Even though the counselor was to help them both the burden of helping the empath adjust had been more than she had expected. She considered gerself a strong person. She had survived a lot of shot. But she had never had to help someone. She had no idea how to do it. Her whole life had focused on independence.

"Put it on the calendar." Wednesday was a decent day. It gave her time to prepare and to catch up. The shop was open almost every day. She had nothing else to fill her life so she only closed when she had to. If she was too sick to work. Which had only been a handful of times since she had inherited the shop. She wanted to repay Zed for giving her a chance. She knew if he hadn't she would still be working for her father.

"Let me know when you're done eating." She pushed the thought of her father out of her mind. She didn't want to think about that. She had a new life now. Sort of. He was trying to sneak back in and she had no idea how to stop it. Jess had given him an opening and there was no changing that. All she could do now was limit the damage as much as possible.
"No rush on my part." Roxy assured her. She wasn't in any hurry to face that awkward situation. It would be awkward for everyone. Even though it was a private moment she would have to be there. She would on the outside looking in. They might try to include her but she wouldn't really belong. She couldn't. She wasn't part of their world. No matter what kind of relationship Devika had with her family it would be completely different from anything she had known.

"Maybe we should pick up some noise damping headphones. The city has to be a lot loader than where you lived." Roxy suggested. She remembered how quiet it had been in the cottage. Too quiet for her so she could easily see how the opposite could be true for the empath. Some soothing music could help too but she didn't mention that. She wasn't comfortable making too many suggestions. Devika no doubt knew what worked for her and what didn't.

Luckily it was only a short time before the cab pulled up in front of the garage. Roxy handed the driver her card and got out as quickly as she could. She hated enclosed spaces. She didn't know if she could have survived if she had been forced into isolation. The only upside would be that she would be far from people.
