Most of my roleplays have been character-driven, which tends to just erase the problem of "LOL I NUKE U U DED LOL". That said, it did happen once. It tends to be a death sentence if it's not the sole purpose of an RP. Of course, I'm a terrible GM, so you might be able to avoid that effortlessly.

I've got this bad feeling that the IC will eventually just turn into a world war between people who think that the war makes sense and people who think it's going to kill the roleplay. Have we forgotten about the whole "Roleplaying" thing? I mean, the point here is to PLAY a ROLE, right?

The UTA actually has freedom of speech, you know, so long as you aren't using it to raise an army against the government or anything. Dictatorship =/= Fascism. It's like saying that Democracy can't be anything but Capitalist.

Also this. And the dictator of the UTA will totally insult you for having a dictator, because he's a massive, massive hypocrite. His worldview amounts to "Dictatorship is evil unless it's me, because I can't be corrupted by power". The last bit is true, he's just been a melodramatic, impulsive, self-righteous ass his whole life.

I don't really mind that people declare war on my nation but what bugs me about it that there is no IC plot leading up to it and virtually no diplomacy in the game. I really feel that this RP is becomming very limited and shallow. It is a shame that people are not really taking the opertunity to go to te GEC peace convention. I truely think that people should go there and that it should be RPed out.

Also, is there still a UN? If so I want to initiate an emergiency session with the aim of settling the conflict peacefully.

Honestly I think that too many players are too warmongering in this RP up to a point that it's not even funny. I've never ever been in a nation RP where players declared war in their first post. And here we pretty much got multiple people doing it. Like the only thing to do in a nation rp is going to war :S

As one of these people, I'm surprised too. I honestly wouldn't have done anything if the whole Jisade thing hadn't happened. Maybe the whole "Insane, Impulsive Dictator" thing wasn't the best choice for my character.

Also, @LordZell, you're invading the UTA, right? I couldn't find the target specifically stated anywhere, but seeing as how I'm getting ready for war, it makes the most sense.
