Actually, as a Midwesterner, I don't like California. It's sort of a local rule.

On the contrary, I get annoyed with RPers who make me feel that this is no longer a hobby, but a business job with tight deadline - basically making me feel like RPing is a mirror to the shitty RL I have to go through 24/7.
This. Just fucking this, my God, this does not do nice things to my mental state. Trying to write for a contest? "YOU HATE EVERYONE YOU'VE EVER KNOWN, GET TO WORK YOU ASSHOLE! STOP BEING SO SELFISH! YOUR STORY IS WORTHLESS AND SO ARE YOU!" It really wears me out.
