My sister saw me watching the Co-Optional Podcast and thought I was skyping my friends. How ridiculous! I don't have friends.

i feel like I need to write more for that post..it seems short.

Whilst we're on the move short posts will be fine :) Once we're settled in a single location/ in a non-combat scenario I'll expect some more lengthly stuff, but fighting tends to be quite quick-paced.
This looks really interesting!
Uhm. Is there going to be an abilities section in the character sheet?
ARe we allowed to use real characters from history as our character?

Glad you think so! :D

I can put one in if you'd like :)

And yeah, that should be fine! I'll be doing an Original Character for Gluttony, but you can do someone from history.
Just like to remind everyone that this awesomeness exists, and that you should totally jump on board.
Lucifer rules supreme, but for how much longer?

Change is brewing in the Nine Circles of Hell, as whispers of a new order are carried on a dark wind. Nine champions, one from each circle, emerge to challenge Satan’s rule, and claim his throne of skulls as their own.

The Arch-demon waits patiently within the ninth circle, amasing his monstrous armies of demons and hell-hounds, whilst the hapless hordes of sinners tear each other apart in the realms above.

More and more souls flood into Hades with each passing moment, adding fuel to the bloody war-machine.

Marching upon the frozen citadel at the heart of Oblivion, a dark and twisted road lies ahead for our champions, which will surely claim the souls of billions.

OOC:

Welcome to Hell! Enjoy the Buffet.

Inferno takes place in the underworld, where nine gang-like armies have emerged with the intent of becoming the undisputed Emperor or Empress of Tartarus. The players may take control of a character who embodies one of the Nine Circles, and who leads a militia of similarly-aligned followers.

The story is very loose and susceptible to change, as I’d like to try and go for something fairly casual and easy to jump on board with. Oh also, souls which die in Hell are destroyed permanently.

Any takers?

Pain. Hot, searing pain. A world of pure torment ripped through Brunkas' face as a blast of silver tore right into him. He felt like his head and been cracked in two, and then set on fire for good measure.

He stumbled through the back-alley, grasping at the bloody tatters of his face, as his life-force dripped down into the cracks between the cobbles. All traces of arrogance were gone from his lupine likeness, leaving only malice and contempt in its place.

I c-can't breath...His huge body shook and swayed, as he wheezed and gasped, the taste of burning gunpowder clogging his senses.

His vision had become a twisted blurr of black and red, as sheer agony thundered all around him.

Amidst the spectrum of dark hues, Brunkas could just about make out the outlines of his attackers.

"KILL THEM ALL!!!"

They charged forwards, the last of the hunters, moving as one single organism. They slashed and bit and clawed and hated, ready to bring about the end of those who stood before them.

What happened next would seal the fates of all those who stood in the alleyway.
Now kids, Make sure to follow the scary monster into the darkened tunnel!

"Run through the clouds, friend! They are painkillers! They will dull the pain you are no doubt suffering from in your shoulder!"

Twenty or so years ago, Zhaarus the Red would've scoffed at the idea of using painkillers. He was a warrior of the brotherhood of Mahrl! A champion of the arena! But now? He was too old for this shit, and his shoulder hurt like a bitch.

"You have my thanks, comrade!" Zhaarus called out to the medic, giving him a curt nod of his head before he ran straight into the white mist which floated in the air infront of him. A warm, cool aroma washed over his scarred body, as a euphoric calming flooded through his form, numbing the pain in his shoulder. A slight tingling persisted in the wound, but the pain he felt now bore no comparison to that which had scorched his form mere moments ago.

“What the fuck happened back there?!”

A well-built figure with greying hair came rushing up behind him.

"I believe that's what they call an ambush," Zhaarus said dryly "I hear they're all the rage nowadays."

The path ahead was stricken with all sorts of rubble, and it took some expert climbing on the old man's part to scramble his way over it, whilst remaining out of the path of the flying bullets.

A few more minutes of running, and they appeared to have lost the bandits. Zhaarus stopped to catch his breath, leaning on the ruins of an old sky car for support.

The roar of gunfire had died down now, and a smattering of decrepit metal towers lay ahead of them. The bombed out ruins of old houses littered the side walks, and a disused train tunnel ran beneath them.

"There's no saying what we'll run into on our way back," Zharrus reasoned "Our best bet is to take the safer route."

He hopped down off of the road, landing with a thud on the train-track below.

"Don't worry; its been years since trains came through here!" He called back up to the group, as he went striding into the ensuing darkness of the cracked stone tunnel.

If you're in hospital, I give you leave to take it easy. Yet, if you post...well...Emperor bless you, sir!

Well now, I wouldn't be worth my salts if I were to let my favourite GM down!
A Not So Speedy Getaway

Despite her sniper-esq aim, Nisvillia Blissponis was no fighter, and without her companion's aid there was no way she would have made it through the bloody rabble which had engulfed the landing zone.

The bark of bolters and the rattling of lasguns boomed through the air, as mangled bodies littered the metal streets of Outpost 57.

"I'll be honest," the large red-head said with a frown "the Outpost didn't turn out to be QUITE the discreet getaway I was hoping for. Next time I should probably haul arse abit further away from the people who're trying to kill me."

Her vision clouded by thick smoke, Nisvillia just about managed to catch sight of the nobleman retreating back to his shuttle with his squadron of guardsmen.

"Good sir!" She called out, struggling to be heard over the roar of battle "If my companion and I could acquire safe passage aboard your vessel then we would be sure to compensate you handsomely. If you've heard the name Blissponis, you'll know that these are no hollow claims. Help a girl out?"
I've got lots of moving around in an Ambulance expected, so I might not be able to get anything up today, but I'll try and do the next post ASAP.

Hope everyone is well!
