Current I am Klomster, i have no status.

Bio

Known primarily as Klomster, both on the net and on real life.

I really enjoy roleplaying and do so every weak, preferably twice in two different campaigns. Sometimes even more.

From time to time i've done some forum roleplaying with mixed success. I've tried GM-ing with even more mixed success and all in all, i find forum rp's enjoyable. Hence why i joined, hoping to play some forum rp's and OWN at it. (Or something.)

I have an erratic thought pattern so my posts can appear as incoherent, if you notice you can just mention it if i should clarify anything.
Other than that, hey there fellas.

@Holy Grail So it's ablative armour. Check.
However, i still don't know how much damage it can take. Is it like it goes down after a smg hit, or an rpg hit? Or not even anti-ship hits?

Some game worlds have rather OP shields, while some have rather tame ones. I'm just after what kind you had.

Btw.
Which species have shields?
The Schäferkin don't. Not even on their ships.
And right at the top is Claus ;)

Well, technically it's "the Old man" who's the best fighter.
Claus is just the best one after that. And probably the one who will take first spot when the old man hits the dirt.

I like the System Duncan put up.
I wonder if i should change my sheet to better follow it?

If a system with numbers is what people want however, i suggest a system my friend created for a freeform-esque rpg system.
With a ranking between -to 6 determines the skill of a person.

- = Unable.
0 = Untrained.
1 = Some basic training. Can do the task but might miss a few points.
2 = Trained, knows all the basic things needed to perform the task without any problems.
3 = Professional, the character can make a living on the skill. Warriors have 3 in their primary fighting skill.
4 = Elite, superior knowledge and skill. The fighting prowess of a knight is 4.
5 = One of the best in the world, few can reach this level of skill and only training every day and honing of one's skill can keep a character at this level.
6 = The best in the world. Only one may hold this number.

Claus would be 5 in close combat. Perhaps 6 in greatsword seeing it's his preferred weapon.
He would be Strategy 3, probably archery 2 and farming 1.

However when making my character, i sorta guessed what Duncan meant with Adept, Master and all that. So it seems Claus might be better at some things than i intended.
Oh well.

Do note in the system mentioned above, the steps are kinda big when it comes to skills that is not fighting. The system actually has a combat system and there those with higher skill get bonuses against people with lower skill.
Olympic athletes would be 5, competing on who is 6.
Technically, 6 changes on a day to day basis. But that's annoying to keep track of.

I'd say regardless of what we go with, i'm kinda chill. But it would be useful to have an agreed upon naming so people have a better view on the capabilities of the different characters.
It's not a competition, sure. But it is fun to compare and imagine scenarios after all :P

Could Claus defeat The Snake in close combat? Would he be able to outlast Lana in a drinking contest?
Who knows?
There, i have now added a section providing descriptions of the different Schäferkin weapons normally used, provided more description on the potency of their armour and added a few basic things that should have been in to begin with.

Like the space mask.

I think that i got a reasonable level on the power armours. I want them to badass and powerful, but not OP.
Seeing Itium, i should give some more detail to the Schäferkin equipment.
So, i suppose there's a good way to enter the place?
Considering my enhanced mobility.

I'm just envisioning my post, i only have one part in my mind yet though.
Though the countryside and the wild are still just as beautiful as before.

Well that's a relief!

I'll write a post when i know about the closing army.
Or should i write a post before that? With details on when the enemy assault the keep?
I had planned on putting a bit of that in the post where i'm basically "Wait wut? Reinforcements? NICE!" And then run away from this fortress.
Nobody likes me there, so better leave.

The Steel fist seems to make a habit of pissing off people in Telmarion :D

Edit: Also, reading the post with Eclipse silently and happily reminiscing of the past made me feel like putting in a post that began with.

"Meanwhile, in Telmarion."
And then the scene would be Claus roaring and throwing a person off a castle wall and then headbutting another with the massive battle still raging :P
@Sigma When you mention it it doesn't seem they ever showed up IC.

Oh well, i'm rather indifferent to them being in.
Neither for nor against.
It's another thing to use if they are in. A place for conflict and story.

At the same time it's another place to keep track off.
@Holy Grail Looking at your species.
Holy shit they have a strong military.
A question which comes to mind is why? But perhaps the Vraslil wanted good troops, bio-enginered militarism into them, but couldn't find a good way to enslave them.

I might have to redesign some of my things :P (Jokes aside, i have considered going for more plasma, and ditching the lasers myself.)

As for how the Schäferkin would think of the Xenor.
They would hold respect for them, even if their single gender nature would confuse them slightly. However Schäferkin only puts biological facts as differences between the sexes.
Being sexually monomorphic, ie, the sexes are the same apart from the reproductory organs. Schäferkin have about the same physical expectations between the sexes, while males are often more driven and proactive.

Hence why most of the Prime Alphas have been male.

So the Xenor are probably seen as interesting.
It would be cool if the two nations had some sort of military training contract between them. Doing military drills and scenarios against each other.

I'm wondering who would be more potent in a fight, a Schäferkin or a Xenor.
The Xenor would laugh at the Schäferkins long range firepower, seeing they basically don't have it on their troops. However in close quarter a battle-born soldier with power armour is a massive and monstrously dangerous individual capable of ripping the arms of a human with a little effort.
So it probably depends on the battleground more. And the individual training of the troops at hand.
When reading about the Hellhounds i imagined Schäferkin wrestling with it to prove their prowess. But it was just a thought, i think the Hellhound would probably be more dangerous than a single Schäferkin in CQC.

What i am worried about is the force screens, since no one else has them IIRC, and the Xenor has it on everything, even bio-tech armour, i wonder how powerful it is.
How good is the armour without it? Those kind of things.
I guess i need to think of that for my own armours as well, but still.

I guess the Schäferkin will do their usual deal.
"Those people are weird, better keep away from them." Like they do with basically everyone.

But if you have a cool interaction idea, feel free to suggest.
Do know that the Schäferkin are kinda new on the interplanetary scale.

@Sigma Speaking of meatballs, I suppose the Quitzokotl are now Npc's?
Regardless.

So how is posts coming along?
I am as usual a heretical sloth-like bum and haven't started yet. But then again i write stuff fast so i usually get away with it.
@Wraithblade6 :P

And the Grim company being more beautiful than the Steel Fist? Slander!
Just look at the average trooper.
*Saggy chins, smells of sweat and faintly of alcohol, ruddy skin.*

Beautiful!
Simply gorgeous!
