The issue of Chie’s enraged behavior was left behind as fast as it was brought up after Kanbaru helped… cool her down. Of course, since they can’t have nice things, someone had to come and interrupt when it was getting good. And, who else would it be other than the shadowy figures of the former head and deputy of the Detention Club.

Seeing her partner act responsible, spurred Chie to do so as well. The redhead sprung out of their previously shared bed and assumed her dark magical persona before following the beacon of ill humor that was the club’s former president. “Hey, I don’t know what’s on your head but, how about stopping for a moment and thinking things through? I’m sure we don’t wanna lose our heads at a time like this,” Chie said as she caught up with Chiaki and put a hand on the blonde’s shoulder while completely ignoring Rania’s presence.

Meanwhile, Aegis left the roof behind her and was making her way back in a nonchalant way. The sight of a tall, well endowed, foreigner college student walking through the corridors of an unremarkable high school such as this one was bound to attract many eyes. It didn’t take long for a teacher to stop her prompting Aegis to produce a piece of paper from her bag and hand it to him.

“Ah, I see, you came here to borrow a book under Professor ---’s name. The library is that way. If you can’t find it, don’t hesitate to ask someone,” the older woman said before going back to her usual business, leaving Aegis to wander the school as she pleased.

”It’s very convenient that these humans are so weak willed that I just need this to trick them,” Aegis said to herself as she looked at the blank paper. ”Anyway, I should get out of here without looking suspicious, this place has too much concentrated stupidity for me,” she added as she continued to make her way out while trying to not alert anyone.

And so it was done. The invader finally fell, not with bang, nor with a boom, but with a big splattering slash.

With the source of their immediate troubles taken care off, Mavis could let herself relax, the adrenaline coursing through her veins finally wearing off, even though it meant a little bit more pain waited for her until they could be back at the Academy and she got some proper medical attention, from a certain… very unhappy Lieutenant Colonel. Even so, it was just a minor wound; no one would notice if she didn’t spoke out. All she had to do was grit her teeth and carry on for a couple more hours or so.

“Well, that was pretty cool, guys. Now that we took out their artillery, we can go back. We probably shouldn’t hang around here more than we need to,” Mavis said as she came close to the downed alien with her typical smile stamped on her face.

“What Mavis said is correct. All of you, come back at once,” Lieutenant Isoshima’s voice finally came through the radio. Now that the mission was over she could go back to her regular command duties. “I know that taking down this invader wasn’t a foreseen part of your mission, but I commend all of you for decision. There are… some circumstances we have to talk about, but this can be left for after we are back in a safe zone.”

“I don’t normally do it for this much people, but you heard the Lieutenent. It’s time to fall back,” Subaru’s said as Neptune floated closer to the cadets. Just as her drone came to a halt, Subaru created a portal that would bring them right back to their transport. “Since there are some of you who are wounded, you can use it this time,” she said in her usual deadpan manner.

“Well then, go on, guys. We’ll be right behind you,” Mavis said. After all it wasn’t like she could leave until Neptune did as well.
Lancer

“That would be interesting, yes. We may even be able to find a suitable courier while we are out shopping,” Lancer replied to her Master as soon as the call ended. A look of sadness took over her face a moment later as she said, “How could I forget to tell Mist about Rider’s true identity? She probably would be overjoyed to know that her daughter is facing the King of Strategists, Hannibal Barca in this war. Even though his lack of honor makes me very sad, the feats he accomplished in life are enough to make me bring the best of me when we clash again.”

“Nevertheless, I’m ready to leave when you are, Master. I trust you haven’t forgotten my request from yesterday, right?” Lancer said as soon as she was done grieving over her forgetfulness.
Mordred

“Heck, I was sure he did. Anyway, yeah, I don’t think you wanna keep Father waiting for much longer,” Mordred said. Now that their issues were sorted, she dismissed Clarent, once again allowing her helmet to shield her identity from anyone who hasn’t been there when she released her sword. Mordred kinda felt the urge to laugh when even Lancelot was making jokes at Tristan’s expense but refrained from doing so since there was something else she had to say before the purple-haired knight left.

“By the way, when you see Father could you… erm, keep it a secret that I’m here as well? I haven’t had the chance to meet her yet so I… don’t know what she’ll say if she learns about it from a someone else,” Mordred said in a flustered voice while scratching the back of her head nervously.

“Anyway, Master, do you have anything to do later?” the blonde knight asked Seria not very long after Lancelot left them. Considering the contents of the conversation Mordred had just a moment ago, the intention behind her hesitant question was pretty obvious. The only thing forbidding her from speaking it out loud was her pride.

Hinami Asakura

Hinami came in not long after Gilgamesh made his grand entrance. She had an apologetic smile in her face, as she stared at the sorry state of Lord El-Melloi II from behind Gilgamesh’s back. She wasn’t trying to excuse her Servant’s actions — Gilgamesh wouldn’t take that lightly, after all — but rather apologize for her own inability to foresee such an outcome.

The fact that the King of Heroes cared enough about this issue of his to summon his armor and let out enough of his kingly aura that even she felt shaken added another drop to Hinami’s curiosity bucket. There was only one explanation for this sequence of events, but even Hinami had to think that such a coincidence was unlikely to happen in her own lifetime, much less that of a man in his thirties like El-Melloi.

Nevertheless, no matter how much she felt like asking about it, or even introduce herself properly, Hinami kept quiet in the same way as El-Meloi’s companions did. Speaking out of place in Gilgamesh’s presence was a pretty hard thing to do after all.
“Forget Mavis’ idea, Mila. We all know it’s probably some insane stunt. Just do what the others are doing,” Subaru said to Mila after she asked about Mavis’ plan. The silver-haired girl’s sigh could be heard over the radio as the battle grew more and more chaotic with each passing moment. “Though, I have a pretty good idea of what she wanted to do,” she added as Neptune’s turned towards a nearby derelict crane loaded with steel beams.

“Yui’s idea may be our best shot at ending this without anyone getting even more hurt. Mavis knows it as well… don’t you?” Subaru said just as Mavis was sent through the air by the invader’s reflect power.

“Yahoo!” the redhead yelled as she was hurled towards Yui, bracing for the impact behind her shield. Mavis did a dodge roll as soon as she hit the ground, nullifying most of the force of the landing, even though her face twisted a bit when she felt a stinging pain in her right leg. “Tsc! Mom’s gonna kill me when I come back hurt again but whatever. Anyway, I guess that you are right, Subs,” she said under her breath before raising up her voice again.

“Hop on, Yui, I’ll be launch ya faster than a Major League pitcher! Just be sure to get it on the first strike, ‘cause we are not getting a second,” Mavis said as she dug her heels on the ground, steadying herself as she raised her shield, ready to throw Yui away with everything she got for one last strike.

“By the way, guys, how are we going to name this move? How about X-Love Guillotine?”

Didn't we already have problems with people apping broken mind control skills a couple pages ago in the OOC?
PS: It's actually pretty easy to see that Melt's legs ends just a little bellow the knee in the official Wada Arco illustrations from CCC. Which are best left in a link rather than image, considering Melt's "chaste and ladylike" outfit:

Again, I'll reinforce my statement that BB is trying to make a version of Katawa Shoujo were all possible love interests are Sakura. There can't be any other reason.
Suddenly, I have the urge to make Hinami be a not-so-distant descendant of Siduri, just to explain why she was compatible with Gil.
Mordred

“So you really knew about Father. I had a hunch that — if she had to tell anyone — it would be you and maybe Bedi. Seeing the way you talk about her is enough to confirm it,” Mordred said in an easygoing way. Maybe the fact that she and Lancelot were talking while holding swords would feel strange for anyone else looking, but it was only natural for a knight to do so.

“Anyway, Father aside, I think I shouldn’t be that surprised to see you guys around. If I remember something that my former Master told well enough, we are pretty Premium Picks when it comes to Servants,” the blonde knight’s voice was high with pride, and an uncharacteristic good kind of longing, as spoke about her previous Master and the last time that she recalled being part of a Holy Grail War. “Since Father allowed herself to be summoned. I imagine that, other than you-know-who, everyone else will eventually be here. In fact, this perfect chance to let them know the truth about who the Great Mordred truly is, with style! Though, I feel bad for anyone who ends up summoning Tristan; they are going to be in for a long ride,” Mordred finished her declaration by flashing out her best grin while being surprisingly considerate enough to avoid talking about Galahad in front of Lancelot.

“By the way, this is my new Master, Kobayashi Seria. Don’t go trying to charm her, alright?” the blonde said as she put a hand on the shoulder of the redheaded girl that managed to be even smaller than Mordred herself.

Hinami Asakura

“I don’t know what picked your interest, but it sure is nice to have a walk around the city with such a good looking guy,” Hinami said, in a witty tone, as she walked behind Gilgamesh. The fact that he didn’t even bother to lock the door when he left always amused her. Then again, the simple idea of anyone daring to steal from Gilgamesh was like the height of suicidal behavior.

If no one, or nothing, else dared to interrupt them it would be just a matter of half an hour of walking before they reached the University.
