No offense intended. But there's a sweet spot on the sliding scale of realism, and most of the interest checks I usually see skew too far to the realism end for me.

Can't describe how quickly I go from excited to sad when a mecha premise turns out to be realism wankery.

With calculus, you can calculate just how many ways the enemy is screwed. : D
Abraham clasped Tai Yang's hand in a firm grip, shaking it politely. Based upon the other student's mannerisms, it was fairly clear that he wasn't familiar with the concept of a handshake; If given the chance later, he made a mental note to explain it, and perhaps clear up the confusion. For now, however, his gaze turned once more towards Deja, cocking his head slightly in surprise.

This one. I like this one.

That's because she actually noticed you, Fury.

"There is." He admitted, nodding slightly. "I've never quite decided what to refer to him as, and he hasn't been helpful enough to offer up a suggestion. Nor does he seem to have much of a name. I asked him what to call him when I first encountered him, and he only told me to call him 'Fury'. My grandfather informs me that as far as anyone can tell, it's the only name he's ever gone by."

I keep telling everyone that Aram is one of the best most, reliable teachers in the school, and no one believes me.Of course, unfortunately for me, Val has just established Ninja Janitor as a potential hugging subject for Aram.

Even Ninja Janitors need hugs.

On the note of all the humans becoming friends; They do indeed seem to have, almost amusingly so. And since Abe intends to track the Ninja Janitor down later to say 'thank you', there is the potential for her assimilation.
I think I'd prefer having Toaster for an AP Calculus teacher. He understands the dread and horror of the material.
"Thank you," Abraham addressed Tai Yang, smiling slightly. He sheathed Fury in a single smooth motion, returning the blade to its usual position at his side. As he did so, he glanced about the area; A little messy, a little damage, but there seemed to be few injuries. "I won't pretend to be good at a large number of things, but I try to be competent in the areas I can."

He held out a hand to shake. "I'm Abraham Martin, pleased to meet you."

His head swiveled slightly to look at Deja again, noting her blindfold immediately. "There were four of the draconic golems, miss. By my count, they've all been vanquished. A little damage to the area, but only one person seems to have suffered injury."

Mentally making a note to find the janitor later to thank her, he addressed Deja again. "Your skill is impressive. I wouldn't be nearly so able, were I without my sight."

You aren't now.

Shut up.
What a delicious way to die.

Yeah...Aram couldn't win a fight unless his enemy was a super diabetic...

This is offensive to my people*.

...

But accurate. XD

*Not really
Good thing I saved that, instead of just leaving it in temporary copy paste storage. XD Give me a few moments, and it'll be up.

Oh, speaking of status updates; Windel, I should have that VP ready tonight. Slightly delayed by a little school work, but it'll be done.

...

That ferret is ridiculously pleased.

ANYWAY

Seriously, Ursa, no worries. Now, if this was a constant occurrence, I'd be irked. But hey, it happens, I wasn't quite quick enough on the draw. If it works out great, fantastic. If not... Well, I'll be annoyed if people start pointing out that Abe did nothing in-character, then I'll be irked. Otherwise, it's all fine.

Not like there'll never be another fight.
Don't worry about it too much, Ursa. My annoyance is mild, and not likely to linger. XD If it were the 'Kill all four' version, that would be great; I will admit I kinda wanted to have Abe take one down.

But I'm fine with either way.
