No offense intended. But there's a sweet spot on the sliding scale of realism, and most of the interest checks I usually see skew too far to the realism end for me.

Can't describe how quickly I go from excited to sad when a mecha premise turns out to be realism wankery.

Once again, I'm terribly sorry. I recently moved, and technically, I'm not unpacked and settled yet. I've been working on getting settled, and moving the last of my possessions. Now I should be well and truly back, and able to post regularly.

Sorry about the delays, I know it's really inconvenient.
"Ah, well..." The sword-wielding student looked thoughtful, pondering how best to relay the answer to the health inspector. It was... An odd scenario, truth be told. Especially on the first day of a new school year. Granted, Abraham was fairly sure this was hardly a typical school year at the best of times. "Just after the introduction assembly yesterday, a man showed up. Actually, he tried to ask me where the Headmistress was. The janitor seemed to know something, and attacked him."

"The man identified himself as the school's first vice principal, I believe. He made a grandstanding speech and departed, leaving lava dragon golems to do some damage. Four of them, if I recall correctly. One was dismantled by Vice Principal Toaster, another by Tai Yang, a third by Ms. Deja, and the third by myself."

Listing yourself last. I'm not sure if you're unintentional over-humble, or intentionally humble. Though it is odd that the inspector can hear me.

"Does that answer your question, sir?"
I am so very sorry, folks, about my lack of attendance. I've spent the last week dog sitting and trying to catch up on a myriad of things I needed to do IRL, as well as just in general catch up on my rest. I really have no excuse, however, for the lack of warning regarding said absence, so I will, once again, apologize.

I'm not sure if anyone is still waiting on me for anything, but I'll do my best to be back up to speed and post where I need to before I sleep tonight.
From his position on the ground, Gregory groaned slightly. Consciousness was slowly returning, and with it, his senses. As a result, he was now feeling very, very sore. Truthfully, the Reaper should be counting his lucky stars that he was just sore; had he been a moment slower in twisting to the side when his colleague let loose with a rage-powered miniature particle beam, he would be less sore, and more in need of a trip to the infirmary. After all, a particle beam to the chest was little to laugh over. Not that Stein felt like laughing, because just plain breathing was unpleasant. He'd evaded most of the attack, thanks in large part to his handy "Oh God I'm In Danger of Death" sense, but nevertheless, his shirt was a little worse for wear.

Slowly, accompanied by an exaggerated grimace, he pushed himself into a sitting position. His eyes swept once over the room to the left, once to the right, before fixing on two items; his now-spilled coffee, and the now-fallen box of donuts. Another grimace.

"Well, that's an interesting start to the day."

"Well, it hasn't been going on for very long, sir." Abraham replied politely, not seeming all that surprised by Daichi's sudden appearance. Based upon age and behavior, he wasn't likely to be a student; Probably a faculty member or a similar role. As such, it made sense for him to inquire about the students's stay at the academy so far. The swordsman paused long enough to take a sip of his water, before speaking again.

"It's been interesting so far, though. The faculty and students are a little odd, but they seem good at what they do. There was a minor incident yesterday, but it was dealt with quickly. The janitor must be very good at their job, because there's no sign of it now."

Lava dragon golems. 'Minor incident'. Kid, either you're gutsy or a master of the understatement. I haven't decided which.

Hmm? What? No, just waiting for some more people to post and all that. Slight delays.

Sorry, was a little busy yesterday. Had to get some thing done, slept later than I should have, et cetera et cetera. XD I'll have a post up very shortly.

Haaah...sorry...I'm pretty sure I mention fallen as in literally, and no fallen unconscious, but...

No need to apologize, it's kinda funny. Frankly, I'd have to make an explanation for him not being unconscious anyway. Mini-particle beam and all. XD

WOAH!SO.... I don't know how I missed your VP CS Krayzikk, but I finally went and looked. Is that Hughes? Also: I'm bad because I didn't go to bed when I said I was going to D: Distractions distractions

Yes, it is.

I tried to talk myself out of it, attempted to find a picture that fit as well but wasn't a well known character... Google failed me. Thus, Gregory Stein looks like Hughes. XD In other news, I'll see about posting for Abraham soon-ish. I'd post for Stein, but...

...

He's busy being an unconscious witness to a Toaster being tortured.
I had fun just writing it. XD
