Current Saw The Odyssey. I read into reviews and decided to go. As a lover of Greek mythology, I left wanting more. It was a let down for me.

Bio

Hello!

I've been at this RP thing for 15+ years. I've seen a lot of stories and wrote them too. I write as an escape so I try to make this light and fun as possible. I don't have to have anything complicated but I love a good story. The only genre I will not do is horror. I don't enjoy it in real life, I don't want to write it.

My main characters are mostly female and I typically like to write MxF. Just something I am comfortable with. I hope you understand. I typically do casual to advance (2-5 paragraphs), though quality over quantity works for me.

Here are some themes I enjoy:
Romance
Medieval
Fantasy
Slice of life
Action/Adventure
Post Apoc
Futuristic
Dystopia

Drop me a PM if you wish to talk out a story. :)

Piper McAllister...
....................................................

She nearly had the bag of bracelets open when she heard the commotion on the other side of the cabin. The kid with the knife had his arm raised and she saw the blood streaking down his arm. “Yeah, shouldn’t have given him the knife…” Piper thought to herself, shaking her head in disbelief. Her gaze moved back to the bag of bracelets before she noticed the noise nearby. The girl seated next to her heard the same. As they both turned and saw another kid, laying on the floor. She met skateboard girl’s gaze and nodded in response. “Painting can be dangerous. Especially if it gets in the eye…” She responded back. They both turned back to their respective project, Piper slowly putting the bag of bracelets back in her bag. It was too soon for that anyway. The bravery slipping away.

Minding her own business, she kept painting then out of the corner of her eye, she saw the girl seated next to her pull out a box of bandaids and head off toward the kid that face planted. They mentioned something about a seat. “Oh sure…ok…” She said quickly watching them head off.

As if on queue, Jenny the one that handed the knife to the kid earlier, came busting through the side screen door. Her face frantic at the site. She rushed over to the kid holding his hand high like he had a question to ask. She took over for the other that had put cloth over the wound. “Remy? Right? Thank you for your quick action, I got it from here. Go wash your hands…with soap.” The counselor nodded toward a sink.

Jenny pulled back the cloth, the cut didn’t look too deep. Thankfully. “ Alright, let’s get you to the infirmary…get you cleaned up..” Jenny mentioned to the small pale kid.

Piper sat there watching the scene unfold as the back screen door opened. A male counselor and the new kid walked right into the chaos. Brody was his name, she recognized him from last year. He motioned to an empty seat for the new kid before making his way toward one that face planted.

“Dexter, mate… you gotta be more careful…” He kneeled beside the skateboard girl who seemed to be pulling out bandaids. “Ah, a person after my own heart. You get the prepared award, today.” He grinned at them before turning back to Dexter. “You will live, let’s get you to the nurse anyway.”

“Brody…can you take him too? Might want to tell Meg..” Jenny mentioned.

The counselors turned to one another, seeing they each had an injured kid. “Day three and we get a two-fer…” The male counselor laughed. “Keep that arm up…and you keep a hand on that nose…no dripping on my watch…and no Meg, his sister doesn’t need to know. Kid isn’t dying.” Motioning the two kids toward the door.

Piper leaned her head into her hand, it wasn’t lunch yet but the day was definitely more interesting than yesterday. She sighed softly turning back to her painting. It was nearly done but the inspiration wasn’t there anymore. The cabin was louder after the events and she couldn’t concentrate, she enjoyed the quiet. Piper moved the canvas aside as she turned her head toward the window. Outside was calling.

“I know that was exciting and maybe a little scary. Let’s focus on those creative ideas you have going. Just thirty minutes before the next activity. Jenny said before shuffling the campers back to their tables, urging them back to their tasks.
I'll post when I get home from work. At least this made the end of my day better. :)
@Lady Arya isn't that usually rhe way it goes? Lmao

I don’t know I never went to summer camp
I’m so glad the kids are being super helpful, but the counselors are doing a poor job. Lmao

Piper McAllister...
....................................................

Piper glanced up from her painting when she heard the chair scrape across the wooden floor. The girl with the skateboard dropped into the seat beside her, setting down a bag before looking over at the lake scene Piper had been working on. At first, Piper worried she'd accidentally been staring. It happened sometimes when she was concentrating.

"Uh, sure, yeah..” she said shaking the fog from her brain, before tucking a loose strand of red hair behind her ear. When the girl mentioned her painting not being nearly as good, Piper immediately looked down at the table. She never really knew what to do when people complimented her artwork. Just say thank you, the voice in her head stated.

“Thank you…” she said quietly. Piper gave a slight nod and pushed some of the supplies over to the girl. She watched as they stared at the paint supplies like they might suddenly reveal the answer. They looked nervous. Not obvious nervous. The kind people tried to hide. Piper recognized it because she spent most of her life feeling exactly the same way.

“Any suggestions?” The girl had asked with a smile.

Piper stared out into the cabin, thinking, watching the other kids. Her eyes drifted over to the oblivious kid, who seemed to have come across a whittling knife. Was he old enough to use that? Piper wondered but soon realized she had slipped off somewhere else and not answered the girls question. She wasn’t sure how to answer it. Anything. They could draw stick people or the name of their cabin. Piper gestured toward a table where someone had somehow managed to cover an entire canvas in pink swirls and glitter.

“Please no glitter. However, I think you paint whatever you want. Art is objective, as long as you’re happy. Well, so my dad says anyway…” Piper shrugged giving the girl a vague response with a friendly smile.

"I'm Piper, by the way. Do you want a bracelet? I have a ton...” She set down her paint brush and reached for own bag. Sliding out a zip lock bag with at least twenty bracelets. Unsure where this bravery came from but the skateboard girl made her feel comfortable. That was important.
