I am aware you were joking @Prince of Seraphs, but the reality is, you can in actuality have items like that added to the shop.

No the reality is if I wanted to be playing a game of Pathfinder with every gold piece accounted for an every eventually expected I would (and do most Wednesday night but that's not really important).

The fact is that we have players who come to Beacon dirt poor and the money from missions is mainly for them. If you're playing a richer character then the mission money doesn't matter all that much which is how it would be in real life. It's a way for those whose character background actually necessitate them to keep an eye on there earners and plan accordingly. When we spend Credits on a semblance upgrade (fully aware this hasn't happened yet) Lug doesn't want us to just suddenly have a new ability, he wants us to save it for a special occasion in which the player is forced to look for other options and there semblance compensates. It's the same with armoury upgrades. If we were in the middle of a mission and you bought an armoury upgrade you wouldn't get it like poof. You'd have to wait till you had the time, energy and yes the Lien to have it made.
I think I'd allow items like that.

Can be fun... Or risky if it's your only means of healing. Which can be fun.

I was being sarcastic and insinuating that you are treating this far too much like a video game compared to the more realistic (at least for an anime) approach that we're going for. I feel like I'm looking at Doctor Light's shop in between Megaman missions. Minus the name that's an item from a video game I'm working on in RPG Maker XP.
EDIT: Also to answer, I am indeed willing to make the shop, but I'd need Lugio's permission, and that there be some regulation as to what players wish to have added to the shop.

Mistral Wine: 400 Lien, restores 50% HP but inflicts Dizzy and Uncertain status conditions.
Why can't you guys just admit you didn't at all think this through?

Would that make you happier? The truth is, yes we have no definitive system for exactly how much one thing to the next costs. Lien is based on Yen which means that one Lien is roughly equal to a cent. Use that to make an educated guess on exactly how much you would spend on certain items or what materials would cost you.

We could make a shop to have consumeable equipment like grenades to be used in missions or health kits, little armor upgrades that can make some missions more forgiving if you mess up like a one-time activating shield on a fatal hit, afford companions or pets, or even upgrades for them. There are loads of things you can do.

And best part? Everyone can buy them. Everyone. We can look at a mission, and think about if we need any of the consumeable equipment, and buy it if we have enough money.

I can go into more depth, but basically this will add more meaning to getting lien back from missions.

We're trying to make a slice of life RP with monsters and action sequences, not a video game. I'm not really seeing the idea of adding extra lives as buyable items as a productive idea.

Money is a necessary part of almost any society. We trust that each roleplayer isn't going to abuse the monetary system simply because there is no precedent set. For instance Sapphire has a rather sizable trust fund but you don't see me going around buy atlas military tanks and high powered explosives even though she likely could afford it.
@Sho Minazuki Credits are only one facade of our material gain system. And might I remind everyone that credits play not active role IC. They are an OOC method of deciding what we have the license to upgrade or increase. They tell us when we are physically allowed to have an upgrade. Lien controls when we can afford an upgrade. Credits are not an in game currency. Just saying cause I've seen the term pop up a number of times in the IC.
Hey Raven. I should just point out that the midsection of the guardtower is kind of on fire right now. Not saying you couldn't get up but something about struggling through smoke to get there wouldn't be a bad idea.
Vale's filled with shops like that. And if you're really desperate you can raid the school armoury or forge your own.
By the way, are we going to make an official use for Lien?

Yes, it's money. Anytime you buy something you use it.
Sry about that, Paige hasn't been on in over a month, jangel I have no idea what he's doing, and I just can't think of something to post.

If you wanted to be helpful you could run into Robert and lend him you're room key. He shouldn't be too hard to find I think most of the students are more or less (though not literally) laughing and pointing at him.
Find some way to get back into your room or else raid the locker room for gym cloths. Be creative. You could go the administration for a spare key or dissemble the locking mechanism on the door or get an NPC to climb in through the window for you. I don't know who else is on your team but you could go to one of them.
