Not saying there's anything wrong with that. It's a valid and more than likely right opinion but Sapphire hasn't figured that out yet. She thinks as long as she's a capable leader and competent enough to get the mission done with a degree of precision and her team home alive and more or less uninjured then she's doing her job correctly. The idea that she also has to inspire the troops isn't one that she's particularly fond of or considers necessary.
Navi the Fairy - Castle Town Alley

Navi looked up as someone spoke to her. She didn't recognize the voice and it became clear pretty quickly that it was merely a concerned citizen, a shop keeper or something. She got unsteadily to her feet and turned to face him. As she looked directly at the man her eyes burned bright yellow, locking target. "Do I appear as though I require assistance?" she hissed at him. A moment later the anger faded. She wasn't really angry with him at all. More her own foolishness coupled with circumstance. Her eyes faded back to sky blue. "My apologies, I did not mean to offend you. It is not important, the sickness will pass in a moment." The alcohol in her system was almost gone but ridding herself of it was horribly unpleasant.

Navi turned again and vomited in the alley. Somehow she felt cleaner. As though someone vile had been washed from her. Which in a way it had. "I believe I am alright now. Thank you for your concern." Navi was more than eager to return to Link and Zelda. Something about this man made her skin tingle and her eyes wary. He was not quite normal. His plastered on smile unnerved her and his purple cloths even more so. They of course did get some eccentrics in Castle Town especially before the Festival but his garments seemed wrong somehow. She was quite happy to leave him behind. "If you do not object I will be returning to my colleagues."
As for Sapphire, well...I may or may not have mentioned it before. But, Shiro already believes somewhere in his mind that even he could be a better leader. Purely because he believes he is the one team member that heavily aids in keeping the team somewhat cohesive.

He knows he's not the brightest, but if he were to issue commands on the battlefield wouldn't Abel and Gren follow them without any grudges? Sure, doubts and second guesses. But I think Abel and Gren would have more faith in the furball than Sapphire. If Shiro and Sapphire were to ever throw down and he won, that would only strengthen his beliefs. Believing her to be unfit and undeserving of the role Ozpin assigned to her.

Now that hurts. She's not a bad leader just not much of people person.

Besides I think following someone with a grudge but knowing that they've got a good handle on things is better than following someone you trust and like and being unsure if he's going to lead you to safety or get you killed.

Now that I think about it that's sort of Sapphire's mentality as a leader. She's not popular but she gets the job done.
Sapphire Rode - New Deli Place

Sapphire found Oobleck's way of talking rather disconcerting but also sort of fascinating. Like when you have a movie and turn fast forward on so all the characters are speaking and doing everything really really quickly. While Oobleck taught his class, which from the sound of it was closer to a semester in one hour Sapphire finished up her schematic for the device she was building. While she drew she was beginning to have thoughts about possibly making the gadgets collapsible like her daggers. The ones fixed to her boots could of course simply collapse into the boots but the hands would be a bit trickier. She couldn't have them as bracelets given how Morpheus and Phobator were stored, or rather would be stored when she recreated them in a couple of days.

The bell rang as Sapphire was still thinking. She packed up her drawing deciding she'd finish it in armory class. Not long after the class wrapped up she got a text from Gren saying that he'd reserved a seat for the team for lunch. It didn't sound too bad and Sapphire could see from the group nature of the text that Shiro would be there. She could ask him about the pills after lunch. After all for all his bubbliness and destructive habits, he'd never struck her as crazy. At least not in the clinical sense of the phrase.

When Sapphire arrived at the caf she scanned the area but was unable to locate Gren. He was a large boar faunus, the kind of person that sticks out in a crowd. Being unable to see him in the main mess Sapphire crossed over to the little deli the school had just opened. Once inside it wasn't difficult to find Gren. The new deli place was small and Gren stood out even in the largest of crowds. She was surprised if slightly pleasantly so to see Oswald at the table along with Diamond, Emmy and the idiot from the incident with the boy on the hill. She assumed he was the new team leader. She didn't know his name. Emmy as usual looked light enough to float, most likely cause there was fish in front of her. Oswald looked as though he'd been marooned on a desert island and he'd just discovered clean water. Diamond was looking suspicious as usual and Sapphire was still having difficulty reading Gren.

She sat down at the table opposite Oswald and next to Diamond. Nearest seat to the exit which also faced the exit. An old habit that she'd not been able to shake. Besides it allowed her to keep an eye out for anyone she didn't want to associate with and make a quick retreat if the situation called for it. She ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and a drink before looking at Gren. "You called?" she asked wondering why he'd wanted the entire team together.
@Lugubrious Come back the Zelda RP Someone else wants to pick up Midna so if you're not sure your done this is your last chance with the Twilight Princess.

@harinezumikouken @Lucius Cypher Also I finally wrote out Sapphire's backstory in the Team Doc. It's a little bit generalized but you get the picture.
Trust me it's not as full as it looks. This is entirely character driven RP, compared to others where a GM can just push things forward by manipulating different pieces. This doesn't work that way. We need more characters to keep it going.

Plus that's a list of all the people still in at last role call but I haven't seen some of them in quite awhile. Notice that I've picked up three different characters. This is the kind of roleplay that would benefit greatly from having twenty or more different RPers involved. It's not supposed to be a small cast kind of thing.
Why can't Shiro speak to Sapphire :(

And what's this about him beating her in a match? This is sacrilege.
I'll try to get something up for you to respond to.
@Prince of Seraphs I thinking a few more practical items, like the Double clawshot or horse call from Twilight Princess.

Maybe the Roc's feather from Awakening and the oracle game, attached to the Pegasus boots.

Things the Heroes would want to give to another hero to help them.

Functionally I guess but I don't really think those are the kinds of things that would really be tied to another hero very strongly. It would be like having the item be the hedge clippers that the Hero of Winds grandmother got him to use a couple of times to tidy up the bushes. I think if the item is going to create a mental link across dimensions it has to be something that the hero who possessed it had strong feelings about, not just a tool he used. Like Skyward Sword Link's Sailcloth was a gift from Zelda, something he'd treasure. Or the telescope that was a gift from Aryll to Wind Waker Link.

Plus and this is really your call but this mental link between all of the Heroes would take some serious foresight and planning. The kind the Heroes never have time to do. One would have to assume that this was the plan of the Goddesses in which case all the Links wouldn't be sitting around debating which items they'd like to represent them cause they thought they'd be useful. If the item has the power to connect our Hero of Memory to another Hero across time and space and fractured timelines then it should be something linked very strongly to that person, not just something he used for awhile and then stored in his inventory never to be seen again.

Of course I'd imagine that some of the Links would have been strongly connected to this weapon or that but I don't think we should choose these items based on what would be the most useful. They're granting us the knowledge, wisdom and fighting abilities of one of the Heroes of Legend. They don't need to have there own powers as well.

Also pictures of Ghirahim and Fi:

@Prince of Seraphs Fi would be fun, Ghirahim I don't know to much about but I do think he would be interesting as well. I think Fi would be interesting because maybe that's the Link to the first hero.

I believe I mentioned this during the last RP but I had this storyline where Ghirahim was forged as a twin to Fi and Hylia fought with both of them. Demise stole and corrupted one of the blades which was how he was able to weaken Hylia to the point of needing to take a human form. To ease Fi's suffering Hylia wiped her memory of her twin blade.

That kind of backstory would work better if I could control both characters but if I have to choose only one...? DON't MAKE ME CHOOSE, ANYTHING BUT THAT.

I sort of like Ghirahim's character better but I'm not sure exactly how he would fit into the story given he is still really evil.
