I don't think he's talking about you specifically but those people that don't set out there locations in there headers a number of them also aren't exactly clear about which class they are going to. They'll say something along the lines of:

"Jimmy pushed open the class door and sat down near the front of the room so he'd have a good view of the teacher."

Just from this we have no real idea what class Jimmy is in and I'd imagine it gets pretty tiring crosschecking each post you read with the conference dock. I just usually keep in mind which characters are in my classes and which aren't. Then I'll usually skip over other class posts.

Sapphire Rode - Armory Class

Sapphire took a look at the mask being offered her. It was a fairly basic design, a simple mask that covered the mouth and nose connecting to an oxygen tank to allow easy breathing. It wasn't the way that Sapphire would have designed a breathing apparatus. If she was going to craft one she would make something that filtered oxygen from the surrounding environment which would illuminate a limit on time spent there. However that type of device required knowing where you would be before hand and building it to make the specs of the environment you were trying to breath in. Gren's design was a more multipurpose model.

Proper hermetic seals were difficult to perfect. You needed an airtight solution that could instantly bond and release from any substance, for this type of device human skin. Those types of materials were generally expensive. There were of course some cheap alternatives but those resulted in a lower quality seal which could end up becoming compromised which depending on the environment you were in could get you killed.

"You're best bet for a proper seal would be a synthetic biopolymer. However those can be expensive. It might be possible to distill something off of another device from the scrap room but I'd have to take a look around. Of course there are some cheaper options too but those result in less... secure seals. Did you have an environment planned for this device? If I knew what it was planned for I might be able to specialize it somewhat for that location."

As she said this to Gren Sapphire listened to Chatsworth dole out today's assignment. She cursed under her breath. Sapphire had been hoping to use this class to work on her climbing, acrobatic apparatus' she'd started in math. Of course she could create a cheap pair of nightvision goggles in a half hour but she would rather have a decent mark in this class if she could. She'd think of something before next class. Something unique, she didn't want her inventions to be like every other assignment.

For the record hermetic seals are designed to be between two solid objects such as metal, glass or ceramics so forgive my scientific bullshit.

Sapphire Rode - Armory Class

Sapphire had found a number of minor miscalculations. She'd rushed through the process in the initial design because she'd been excited by the idea and how it might influence her fighting style. The mistakes were minor but completely changed the end result. She was glad she’d started checking her work, she didn’t want to be falling off walls thirty feet up. Her aura would protect her but that would still be some serious bruises.

As she worked Sapphire became aware of Krysanthe looking over her drawing. More than likely attempting to figure out what it was. Sapphire was about to snap at the girl that it was impolite to stare when she heard her name from one row up. It was Gren, he trailed off looking at her schematic. If Gren was half as smart as he acted then he’d more than likely done some research into the forces that his semblance manipulated. The equations that Sapphire was using weren’t all together that different from friction manipulation though a bit more refined. He must recognize what she was trying to do. Perhaps she could ask for his assistance. It never hurt to have a second opinion, it was always the simplest mistakes that you overlooked.

But that could wait. Gren was asking her to take a look at something in his hand. It was a breathing apparatus. Her first thought was a gas mask but there was no filter. It was more likely designed to operate in environments where oxygen was contaminated or absent. Though Gren wouldn’t be bringing it to her if there wasn’t something defective or incomplete about it.

Sapphire closed her eyes in frustration. He knew exactly what it was she wanted to know but he insisted on playing the ignorant fool. She was about to explain in very slow, very simple and very patronizing terms exactly what she wanted him to tell her when someone opened the door, pulling her dagger out of the wood.

It was Robert, not that she'd taken a whole lot of the notice of him. She remembered his name and that his entire team had one day just vanished but she didn't know anything more about him save for the fact that he'd rather look like a fool than hit a girl. It would get him killed one of these days.

She was just about tell him that this was a private matter and he should ask the office where his next class was when Shiro using any excuse to get out of the situation he was currently trapped in offered to assist Robert. They were both out the door before Sapphire could stop them. She didn't want to make a scene in the middle of the hallway but she had to let Shiro know that they weren't done talking about this. She'd bring it up again till he gave her a straight answer. She also needed to get her weapon back, it was still in Robert's hand.

Sapphire weaved through the crowd and snaked up to the pair as they walked away from her. Sapphire laid a hand on Shiro's shoulder. "We're going to have this conversation sooner or later Shiro, if you don't want to talk about it I'll get the information from Ozpin." Then Sapphire turned to Robert. "I'll thank you to return that." She said snatching her dagger from Robert's hand. The handle was covered in his sweat. She was going to have to clear it before using it again. "You might want to work on your sense of timing." With those words Sapphire disappeared into the crowd heading the other way towards armory.

When she got to the class there weren't a lot of seats left available. She was stuck sandwiched between Emerald and Krysanthe. Oswald was only a few seats down which was alright but Sapphire didn't really enjoy being in this close proximity to anyone. Choosing to ignore the sense of danger she was feeling Sapphire pulled out her schematic and started to double check her calculations. If her figures were off the device could let her climb twenty feet up before it gave out and sent her tumbling to the ground. It was better safe than sorry. The schematic was covered with numbers and equations so checking her answers would take some time.
