Sapphire Rode - Airdocks

Sapphire was fully ready for him to protect himself and while she was a little disappointed not to see the arrogant bastard falling into the water below she had to act fast. Ebon himself might be slow but those R-Types granted him a disturbing advantage. Rather than sweeping his legs Sapphire pushed off against the solid metal of the Kingdom as it moved to intercept her. She pushed herself into a roll narrowly avoiding the energy discharges of the two R-Types that were circling. She couldn't say it wasn't a little painful putting her full weight on a hand that was also holding onto a weapon but she made due, being careful not to let it go.

Straight from the roll Sapphire jumped to her feet and quickly fired two shells at the R-Types in the air. She didn't expect them to hit but they'd have to dodge which would disrupt there firing pattern, and if they didn't they'd be blown out of the sky. A fierce light burned in her eyes, the last thing she ever wanted was a favor from Janus Rode. Maybe Ebon knew it was a sore point, maybe he was just poking at the fact that Sapphire was well off but in that moment it didn't matter to the girl with the azure hair. She grabbed the other shotgun from its holster and aimed in the few seconds she had free from the R-Types fire. Not at Ebon or the Kingdom but at the ground that Ebon had planted his great shield in. She'd seen him move further from the cliff and while he might not be in pushable range for send over the edge the Kingdom was still fairly close to the edge and he wasn't exactly safe from the open air in between them and the lake.

The shells fired from her gun impacted the ground at the base of the Kingdom, for a nanosecond it appeared to have no effect but then what Sapphire had been expecting came to pass. She'd fired water shells at the ground and now the the dusty mildly unstable rock face saturated with water had turned to mud and started to fall into the lake below, the first second was gradual but like a rockslide a chunk of the rock began to fall faster and faster. The bottom of the Kingdom covered in the oozing mud that would not be on top of the cliff for much longer. Sapphire shoved her shotguns back in there holsters and tossed her weight behind her into a triple backflip to avoid the continued fire of the R-Types. Now next to Gren she hissed "I could use a little help if this goes sideways."
Am I the only one who feels that they may have underpowered their character?

My character has mad skills in fighting but I feel like my semblance and my weapons aren't very impressive compared to some of the things that came in Second Gen. Sapphire's semblance is pretty passive for the most part compared to people that have Hydrokinesis or Wind Control or aura drain. When we first started most of the semblances were relatively passive, I mean there were a few like Abel who could shoot lightning but most were like Shiro's boost his allies, or Oswalds close distance between people quickly. Most of the ones that came in Second Gen seem to be weapons all on there own. I thought that the semblances were just supposed to be bonuses to a fighting style not the entire basis of them. Like when I was creating Sapphire I each semblance I looked at prior to Selective Sight the question I asked myself was "Could Sapphire still fight without this?"

Not saying that anyone with a combat based semblance is bad, I just feel underpowered by comparison.
Limited Astral Projection, telekinesis, and telepathy that can instantly read the minds of every single person and thing in his range at the same time.

And a somehow manages to fit a hundred handgun sized objects into a tower shield.

And here I thought mine was bad.

When I made my character I thought having her be able to shield herself completely from other peoples perception (at a cost) and giving her secondary collapsible, undetectable daggers was over powered. Now I feel like I should have amped it up more.
<Snipped quote by Prince of Seraphs>

1. Usage of personal weapons
2. Usage of body as weapon
3. Accept defeat and get ass kicked.

^Above is his list. He will not use another Hunter's weapons. Again, self-imposed limitation to make things interesting. >:3

If anyone else in the lake wants them they're there. Not saying you have to use them or anything but it's an environmental resource that could be turned to your advantage.

Also everyone you guys better get the hell over there. Shiro's about to get eaten.
Sapphire Rode - Airdocks

Sapphire had met her fair share of arrogant and unpleasant people in her life, the comments about her and her weapons did little to phase the girl with the azure hair. What did surprise her was that after Ebon removed himself from the immediate danger her weapons posed to his throat he pushed his neck back into the blade. It wasn't hard to guess why, he wasn't to make it look like Sapphire was trying to kill him. The girl in blue could respect the tactic but she'd rarely seen anyone crazy enough to mutilate themselves to gain put public opinion on his side.

Sapphire became immediately alert when Ebon's drones launched into the air. The R-Types were small and fast but Sapphire knew that she still had a few seconds before they oriented and attacked. Besides if she was lucky Gren would lay down cover fire. She'd meant what she said about being teammates meaning something to her and she would have happily kicked Ebon's face in for insulting that.

Moving as quick as her mind worked Sapphire shoved the bloodied dagger back into it's sheath (she'd have to clear that later) and drew one half of her polearm. She dropped into a crouch spinning round of one leg as she did it, the other one outstretched aimed at Ebon's shins. At the same time Sapphire extended the blade on her shotgun into sickle form, using the blunt side of the very nasty looking blade to shove hard into Ebon's chest. With the damage to his shins and the force straight back Sapphire was almost certain that he would fall into the lake, preferably screaming. She'd used the blade of her shotgun to ensure that he wouldn't be able to grab onto her desperately as he fell. The fall wouldn't be fatal and she didn't think even Ebon was stupid enough to slice his own fingers off.

Lakebed

As Ebon's control over his remaining R-Type in the area gave way the giant Ogdoad focused on the massive light and sound show that had disrupted the water all around them. It's touch flicked out again snaring the R-Type which was more or less on autopilot. The sound of crunching metal was audible as the R-Type was sucked into the Ogdoad's massive belly. If Shiro had been watching closely he would have realized something very very important, the Ogdoad that he was facing couldn't see him. This was not the first time the Creature of Grimm had come into contact with hunters but the monster would not any time forget that encounter. It had been blinded in the battle and though it escaped it's eyes had not returned. Now it operated on the emotions is sensed in others and the disturbances in the water that had become its home.

Shiro was only mildly on its radar, the most disruptive thing that the Ogdoad could see right now was the weapons locker that had come crashing from the sky sending water currents out in all directions. The beast took two lumbering steps before spearing it again with its barbed tongue. It might have been happy to leave Shiro well enough alone at this point but as it had devoured the R-Types Shiro's mood had become darker and more intense. It was stormy in his battle readiness. Though the Ogdoad could not see Shiro it turned to face the source of such powerful emotions and let out another roar that shook the lakebed.
@harinezumikouken Just letting you know there's knives and stuff if he gets real desperate.
@Ryonara How big is the Kingdom if it's capable of holding hundreds of R-Types. Even if they're only the size of hands guns a container/repair shop that could house hundreds of them would be monstrous and potentially unliftable.
@harinezumikouken I should mention since Shiro only has his shield that the junk pile includes weapons of various shapes, sizes and makes. Use you're own discretion on there functionality but as I said earlier most huntsman weapons are made with an alloy that doesn't rust underwater. The guns might not be any good but the knives should still be sharp. It's a resource if you choose to use it.
@Ryonara Can I have Sapphire push Ebon into the lake? He is standing pretty damn close to the edge.
Hey @Prince of Seraphs

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to drop this RP. I found out yesterday that the remains of a friend that's been missing for two weeks have been found, and I don't think that I'm quite able to give this roleplay the dedication that I should--much less co-GM it (not that I've been doing much.)

I am very sorry to hear that, I hope they figure out what happened. I'm sorry to see you go, you're always welcome back if you ever want to come.
