I am, this is part of Gren's plan to get Ebon on his side in case winning Sapphire over doesn't pan out. Not that he isn't trying to get on her good side either; no reason he can't have both.

They hate each other and he's trying to get on both there good sides at the same time and in the same location. That would be a reason he can't have both. He is effectively sabotaging Sapphire to endear himself to Ebon and sabotaging Ebon to endear himself to Sapphire while both are standing right next to each other.
Btw Ryo, mind if I throw Ebon away from the cliff, both to save him from taking a drink and to put Gren in a position to talk him down?

Hey! I thought you were on my team.
Like I said, Ebon is good at what he does. I chose his powers and abilities so he excels at what he should be doing, even if he doesn't do it properly himself. Even so I've already nerfed his telekinesis and telepathy to the point that they're only good for himself. he can't use his telepathy to read someone else mind unless they're not fighting (Allowing him to work without duress) and his telekinesis is what allows him to use his R-Types in the first place. His shield allows him to carry his drones and gives him something to work with when the enemy inevitably gets passed his drones. And the R-Types themselves I chose specifically because no one else uses a weapon like them. Instead of trying to be skilled with one weapon, Ebon's strategy is overwhelming you with many smaller ones.

What do you think I should do with him? Remove his R-Types, leaving him to bash people with his shield? His telekinesis, so I'll have to make up some other reason why he can control his R-Types? His telepathy, so he can't use his R-Types without constantly having them in sight and removing their function as scouting tools?

And while you're critiquing Ebon, maybe you should look through the CS and give everyone else a look too. I'm sure Ebon isn't the only one that managed to slip under the radar.

I'm not saying stripe him of all the powers he has, I'm saying reduce there level of ability.

I know in a roleplay, especially one that has twenty plus characters there is pressure to distinguish yourself and be unique. You don't want to be just another character that might be easily forgotten if you dropped out (I know I've forgotten the less memorable of our drop outs). You want to be noticed and have your own thing separate from everyone else.

Bearing that in mind I should tell you that Ebon isn't our first drone user. One of The Originals from back when the RP was still GMed by Irish Tree was a drone user. I believe his name was Ineko. The point is that there is no such thing as a new idea so really just come up with what you like and distinguish yourself by your character's actions not by how much ass he can kick.

If I were you with regards to Ebon's abilities, I'd keep the Kingdom but limit Ebon to four R-Types. Each with a slightly different functionality. This ensures that while they are valuable weapons they are not disposable. Also so that they are not totally reliant on him, give the R-Types a self propulsion system, granting them some level of freedom even if he is actively commanding them. As a plot point he can also be shown to be tinkering with the R-Types and improving them, rather than just having: "This one designed for this and oh I have a new one that does this".

Instead of using Telekinesis to control them and Telepathy to watch there movements give Ebon some sort of heads up display, perhaps a visor that shows him what the R-Types are doing, if he's watching there movements with telepathy now he's already used to multi focus during battles. As for his semblance, rather than giving him telepathy and telekinesis give him either technopathy, or technokinesis. Your semblance you have essentially for the purpose of controlling the R-Types (whatever other fringe benefits they may offer) so either he could have technokinesis and be capable of controlling them with his semblance just like before or give the R-Types some sort of rudimentary AI which he can interface and instruct with technopathy.

Just as Onarax said there are levels of power, just cause the general consensus is that he is overpowered does not mean that you have to completely and totally strip him of the things that people consider a problem at the moment.
Ebon would still try to move out of it, though he would need to use his semblance and throw The Kingdom and himself out of that sticky situation.

I'm not saying it's unavoidable but it'll cost him a defensible position to stay on land. If I were him I'd take the fall, use the R-Types to slow the decent and swim to a shallower part of the lake, avoid further punishment but I doubt I'd have Sapphire do that in your situation.
Maybe if they didn't fight creatively. Ebon still lost to Gren because he tried to engage him in melee and my fight with Shadow, which we never really finished, wasn't looking great in his favor either. Ebon tends to lose because he's not fighting smart and letting his R-Types soften up his enemies like he should.

Forgive my rudeness but just cause Ebon is an idiot with the power he does have it doesn't make the power any less. He doesn't use it effectively and gets his ass handed to him cause of it but that doesn't negate the fact that he does have a senior hunter's level of power. He has hundreds of drones which all have different and destructive functions, a wall shield, telekinesis and telepathy. Just cause he doesn't use his power properly doesn't make him not over powered.
I mean I mentioned that because he'll likely just move further away from the cliff and avoid falling, since he's not long right next to it. Unless that dust shot is also suppose to limit Ebon's mobility as well.

Regardless of the positions the dust shot was meant to destabilize the cliff and turn the topsoil and dusty rock into thick mud, like the kind that's dense enough to steal your shoes if you get stuck in it.
@Prince of Seraphs@Ryonara Just checking if it's alright that I had Delta and Eve attempt to diffuse the situation, with the latter jumping in between the fray.

No promises that anyone will listen to them or that Eve won't be injured by R-Type fire but I have no problem with it.

Three times his own ability. And considering that he can heft The Kingdom fairly decently without the help of his Semblance, pretty strong. He won't be able to fling around ursas, but he could probably toss a beowulf off of him. If he tries to do it on people with Aura though, they'd just feel a blunt force hit against them, like he just tried to tackle them with The Kingdom.

And having a distance attack that is the equivalent of someone ramming into you with a huge metal shield which is also unblockable doesn't seem overpower to you?
Also Seraph before I make my next post, remember that Ebon made a point to walk away from the cliff after he moved his shield between himself and Sapphire. Unless she intends to take out an even larger chunk of the cliff to take Ebon down.

I was under the impression that he altered his orientation around the Kingdom so that he was not as close to the cliff face as before like this:

First:
l(E)(K)

Second:
l (E)
l (K)

But besides that she's fired shells to liquefy the cliff on either side of the Kingdom and the area of effect of dust going off like that straight into the ground would be about a meter in either direction, so the section that's collapsing is about three meters across and goes from a foot in front of the Kingdom (give or take) to the edge. Not all of it liquefied but enough did that it's pushing the still solid rock off the cliff since it is effectively no longer connected to anything.
Also Team RWBY is like Beacon's ace team coming into Beacon with way more training than they actually need, having skills more like some of the less talked about teams I think would be more normal. Skilled but not like take out a city bridge powerful.

Besides the way I'm seeing Ebon's weapons and semblance it would take at least 3/4 of Team RWBY to take him down.
I'm comparing his power more along the lines of what students like say, Weiss or Yang can do. Beacon isn't a school where you learn to be a hunter: Everyone is suppose to already be skilled in fighting and their semblance. We shouldn't all start off like Jaune who barely knows what a Semblance is.

Yeah but they don't come to Beacon already capable of going toe to toe with fully fledged hunters. Being honest I think at his current power level Sarina and the other seniors would have difficulty in a fight with him, which makes him just a little too far over the top.
