Salem is an ordinary town with little to no attractions. The town square is where the town is at its liveliest. Most of the citizens flock over there in order to browse through the shops or take part of the current celebration. Coffee shops are located for gossip. Other than that, Salem is quite mundane.
Citizens did complain about the dullness of their town. If only they knew and did not take their quiet town for granted, they might still live prosper and well. Something wicked has arrived at the town. Recently, individuals have gone missing. Other individuals did not know what to make of it. Only then did they realize when they found the bodies. Citizens of Salem are dying and nobody knows how to prevent it.
Then it was suggested. The mayor of Salem stepped forward and proposed an ancient idea. He convinced the entire town to participate in the witches’ trial. An old and odd tradition of Salem, the witch trials is possibly one of the darker secrets of the town. Back then, townies voted for witches to burn at the stake in the center of the plaza. Some witches burned, while others were falsely accused. The square smelled of ash and burning flesh in the dark ages. Now it would welcome its newest residents to the scent.
This is the town of Salem. Residents agreed to meet up in the town square, to vote and figure out which of them were truly the monsters. Who will survive?
The Town of Salem is based on the popular game “Werewolf” or “Mafia.” Hell, there is even a similar game called “Town of Salem” for free. The game is generally filled with second-guessing, bluffing, communication, and of course, lying. This roleplay, like the game, does need a good group of players to join.
Essentially, this roleplay will follow the same rules as the game. This does imply that characters can die, even on the first night. Sometimes players will live for a fair amount of time while other times they are not as fortunate. I expect multiple stories in this roleplay because the role play can end in specific conditions.
HOW TO PLAY
There are multiple roles that can be played in this game. A basic character sheet will be provided with the exception of the role being absence. I will send personal messages to every individual willing to play on their roles, given they are a secret. Everyone will post as their characters while trying to deceive other players about their roles.
Once a whole round goes by, then nighttime begins. Everyone will send me (the GM) their actions for the night. This ranges from healing a person or killing someone. I will then narrate what occurred the following morning and revealing the roles of the deceased. Roleplayers will then reply back by mourning the befallen, accusing others, or voting to send an individual to the gallows. After more character development is made, the night will begin which repeats the cycle until a winner is made or a goal is met.
Roles
Roles will be chosen at random. Please do not leave the roleplay if you feel that your roleplay is not exciting enough or you wanted something else. The only way this game works is if everyone picks up their weight and pulls through the game. If you do want a specific role, I can see what can do, but it won’t always happen.
Serial Killer Obviously, the Serial Killer role is for the more evil characters. They are twisted, mental beings who love nothing but the thrill of murder. Their motive is unknown though they like to work at night.
The Serial Killer is able to attack one individual at night. Only certain characters can kill him. The Serial Killer wins when only one individual remains.
Doctor The Doctor is the individual most townsfolk look forward to when they are suffering from injury or illness. A doctorate’s degree can get someone really far in this town. With a kind soul and a knowledge of medicine, the doctor is available to help those in need.
The Doctor can protect one person of their choosing at night. This person will be protected from attacks. The Doctor is able to protect his own self, but only for one night of his choosing.
The Doctor wins with the town and must vanquish all evil roles.
@Leaves I never wrote anywhere that Krabbe was knocked unconscious. I didn't even say he fell over, just that his speech was interrupted by getting knocked in the back of the head.
My bad. I will fix it. It was difficult to see what was attempted to be said.
Feya's eyebrow curled, her eye twitch might have shown two emotions: confusion or anger. To be frank, she couldn't tell you how she felt. The entire situation on Krabbe's ship turned sour; the captain of the ship proposed a truce to overpower one of his mates. Of course, Feya did not like the idea. She kept her hands on her hips. Her jaw moved side to side, both rows of teeth began to grind against each other.
"Shouldn't you be responsible for your own crewmates? I feel that's a given," she taunted. Picking her ear, she pulled out a finger topped in yellow wax. Flicking it onto the ship, she demonstrated her lack of care. The issue at hand was not of her concern. She folded her arms over her chest. "I could possibly help, that is if a payment is due. Pay my crew handsomely and I shall help. Until then..."
She felt a sharp pain in her arm. The stinging interrupted her bluff, moving her hand over her arm, she noticed a syringe inside her limb. Feya pulled the needle out after a liquid became injected into her bloodstream. She tossed the object into the ocean. After a few seconds, she started to feel a healing process within herself. "Thanks, Liliana." She said indirectly.
Flipping her hair over her ear, she smiled. "Like I said, I won't lift one finger against this guy unless there is a money transaction for wasting our time. I would hurry and accept before more of your men die." She paused and cracked her knuckles a bit. "I am a pirate after all."
Before she could react, Krabbe became attacked by his own underling. The said attacker aimed his next assault at her. She scoffed as she noticed a giant wrecking ball of destruction started cutting through the air. Thankfully, the ball's direction was vertical.
She leaped back to avoid possible death. The impact did cause a force of wind to push her down to one of the deck's walls. The fitness woman collected herself immediately afterward. Thank goodness for Lilliana's special concoction. Feya probably would not have had the strength to evade an attack of that caliber.
Marcus' legs shook and stirred, his balance started to show weakness. The multiple punches from the various kids proved quite strong. They definitely packed some heavy muscle within their attacks. The chef could feel a lot of pressure in each punch. He flailed his arms in the air and around in his body in the means of blocking some of their moves, he managed to recover and decrease the amount of damage given to him; however, some of the punches still made it through.
Marcus moaned after sensing a pair of knuckles directly head to his gut. A puff of air immediately released from his mouth followed by frequent panting. Gritting his teeth, Marcus did not enjoy his situation. The entire situation kept him embarrassed. More likely, he should be babysitting these brats, but instead, they are ganging up on him. The hardest part to accept that Marcus was losing. He convinced himself that he would collapse before them defeated. Marcus started contemplating what to do. His rubbiness helped him prolong the battle thankfully.
Then Marcus noticed his opportunity. The three kids around him stopped their onslaught of punches and cringed. Their faces distorted to show pain and surprise. All of them stumbled in place, they turned around to see what had transpired. Once they rotated, Marcus could see a familiar projectile lodged in their bodies. Looking up, he saw the archer from before perched on the van. Connecting the dots, Marcus grew furious. "Oh! Now I'm getting help from HER!"
Marcus did not want to receive help from someone who previously injected a painful arrow into him. Utilizing his opportunity, he grabbed one of the distracted kids by the shoulders. Angrily, he proceeded to swing the tot around and knock the other kids around. "I'm going to beat a kid with another kid!"
Some of the kids knocked around by the other child that Marcus swung around was having difficulty trying to get back on their feet. They growled and started speaking in demonic tongue. Hissing came out of their mouth, proceeding to stand their position and keep trying to the best the older, rubber teenager.
Kurt's body smashed a child between the metallic skin of the van and his hulking weight. The kid couldn't withstand the pain and released the lizard from his grasp. He slid down to the floor next to the tires. Spitting on the floor, his obvious expression determined annoyance. "Get him. He needs to die," the kid grunted. The other two adolescents clawing and biting on Kurt's back heard their teammate. They nodded to each other, sliding down his scaly back to grab his legs. With the combined strength of the two kids, they were capable of picking City Dragon a couple feet off the ground. They proceeded to toss him to the van and top it over on its side.
Ally's quick thinking did put the kids off of her. Their legs sort of made the trip due to the sudden velocity and speed. One of the girls stood and tried elbowing Ally; her elbow becoming bruised with every hit once impacting the titanium shell. "What is this? How are you able to do this?" She cried out and decided to stop hitting her with the elbow. After a couple of hits, her elbow opened up and start seeping blood. The young girl shook it off, attempting to push Ally over. She also ordered the other girls to get up and assist her.
The two younglings rushing toward the electric woman began to slow down after becoming attacked by sudden arrows. They continued forward.
Everyone seemed busy trying to fend off the little hellions. All of the super-powered teenagers had their hands full. Even then, they all probably turned their heads to the sound of shattering glass. At one of the houses, the second floor bedroom's window busted. This house belonged to the mysterious archer. The noise of broken glass was followed by four kids jumping on the sidewalk.
Each child held onto a limb of the archer's sister. The sister appeared to be paralyzed, asleep even. The children that abducted her began accessing the situation. They exchanged glances with all of the teenagers; short growls were made. Then in an instant, they immediately shifted into a sprint. Running across the street, they entered the forest.
Dubstepp grunted once he witnessed the wolf attack his pet. Of course, he did not receive any damage, but he couldn't help to feel the pain of the giant rabbit. For the first time of summoning a monster, this meant an entirely new experience. Dubstepp grabbed onto his shirt, he did not have the answers or the knowledge of what to do next. He certainly did not want to lose his pet after its first summon.
The thought of losing Totoro kept Dubstepp on the edge and almost prevented him from continuing the battle. Totes basically was Dubstepp's meal ticket and means of defense. If the big ol' bunny got killed, the musician would have to rely on his lightning finger attack. Not very practical or effective when it comes to a group of monsters. Dubstepp watched the meter of his monster drop down three hundred points. Grabbing onto his head, he could not believe the strength of the wolf. Even then, the party only mustered four hundred points of damage. The wolf committed to much more, not to mention that Dirk lost two hundred life points.
Dubstepp growled, he put both of his hands forward and consoled his beast. "Don't worry! I got you!" He bellowed out while sending out a wave of energy. The magic spell would act as a means of healing the rabbit. If the wolve managed to hurt Totoro with three hundred points, Totoro can probably withstand one more attack. The musician then turned to his group and forced himself to chuckle.
"Let's do this, guys. I don't really want my rabbit to die," he panted and put extra emphasis on the word "die." He proceeded to shift his hand movements to a finger stance; he listened to Reylan about the suggestion of magic spells. Although, it remained a good idea, Dubstepp wondered if he should waste another 50 MP. Shaking his head, the kid took the risk and sent forth lightning from his finger while commanding his pet.
"Keep at it, Totes. Give him the ol' one-two, buckle my shoe!" Totoro picked up the command and threw his mighty arms at the hide of the wolf. _______________________________________________________________
