The Terror Begins

Elle frowned down at her arm, which was split open from wrist to elbow and held open by a complicated looking mechanism. Beneath the skin, instead of blood and muscles, was tech. More, at a glance, than one might believe possible. Her free hand was poking around inside, the fingers on her visible hand twitching occasionally, as she manipulated something hidden into place. Her eyes were hidden behind the visor of her helmet, but sure was obviously zoned in on her work.

When Ana entered, for Elle had called for her, she wouldn't even look up. The computer screen beside her, however, would flip through several screens before stopping on a single message.

It's Behemoth. We leave in three minutes.

The minutes were displayed as a counter, counting down to the millisecond.

”Fuck. I’ll get changed.”

Ana quickly pulled a 180 and bolted out of the room, returning about two minutes later in her full costume helmet and all. This wasn’t the pairs first rodeo with an Endbringer event, but that didn’t do much to diminish the fear of it all.

By the time Ana had gotten back, Elle was already done with whatever adjustments she had been working on and was geared up and waiting.

<<Skip will be transporting us, like the last few times.>> With a motion to tomorrow, Elle started walking quickly towards the meeting area.

Ana took a deep breath and rolled her shoulders letting out her stress. It was never easy getting ready for and Endbringer, going in with the knowledge that you’re not going to be able to save everyone is… Difficult to say the least.

”So what’s the plan? Same as usual?”

<<Don't know. Not sure what's in Denver that matters, besides the fact that until 5 minutes ago the city was a warzone. We're going in messy. We'll have maybe ten minutes to prep, by the looks of it. S&R will probably be major.>>

”Jesus. This really isn’t what they needed right now… I know it’s never a good time for and Endbringer attack. But this just feels unfair.”

<<Yeah, it's bad. Especially when the big bad in town just announced he's mastering people, broke the Unspoken Rules, and declared war right before the sirens. No chances this time, sis. Don't trust the locals more than you have to.>> By then they were there, getting into range for the local teleporter who would take everyone who had signed up to fight to Denver.

Charm shook her head as she walked into range of the teleporter.

”Fucking masters…”

In a flash they were off, appearing moments later outside of the Denver PRT building with a crack of thunder. As soon as her eyes adjusted to the sudden change, Elle stepped forward. She didn't stumble as a tremor shook the ground, striding forward unfazed. Floating in front of the building was none other than Legend himself.

Ana had covered her eyes with an arm to avoid the blinding flash of their teleport, even still it took her a moment to adjust. Well shit, Legend was here. At least they had a member of the Triumvirate to help slow Behemoth down while they got as many civilians out as they could. She took a look around at the current state of the city, it wasn’t looking the greatest. Hey maybe Behemoth would feel bad and just leave. Heh… Wishful thinking…

”Fuck never get used to that bright flash.”

<<Looks like we're just in time for the speech,>> Manifold signed with a nod and she glanced around the growing crowd. More were arriving every few moments.

Ana rubbed the chin of her helmet as she looked at all the assembling heroes and villains.

”Huh, so these are the capes of Denver.”

Blorb let out an enraged battle cry. Wet Towel's words seemed to have struck a nerve. He split the large minced meat tendril into three smaller one's and repeatedly slammed them in Wet Towel's direction. Though while his rage intensified his attacks they only worsened his aim, Wet Towel easily dodging his attacks as she closed into whipping distance.

It was around this moment when Arete landed and caught Blorb's attention. He grit his teeth, it was a two on one now. "Two on one huh!? Of coarse no lone hero could hope to defeat me in one on one combat!" Blorb says completely neglecting the many times that Wet Towel and Arete had defeated him single handed. "Haaah take this!" Blorb would shout as he launched off his set of tendrils at Arete, aiming to slow down the glowing giant.

"The name's S-Punk, and I'm a pretty good thief myself." The boy's stance relaxed and he crossed his arms, still looking up at the drone. "What's brings you to this scrap heap? Not really heard of you robbing a scrap heap before." S-Punk raised an eyebrow at the drone, it wasn't in the best shape, unless it was meant to look the way it did, either way it did make a bit of sense to S-Punk that a gadgeteer like Mr Gimmick would probably raid scrap heaps from time to time. S-Punk was there to gather parts himself so.

The woman walked up to a large chrome blue van and opened the back doors. "I'm Amanda. Now if you'd be so kind." She said gesturing into the back of the van. Once everyone was seated and the back doors of the van were firmly closed Amanda would start speaking again. "Now I'm sure you're a little curious as to what's going on. Oh but first." Amanda was handed a folder from a well built man who was at the wheel of the car. "I think these are yours." Amanda held the folder out for Eve, it had a couple of letters inside it, the ones Eve had gone to the post office to get in fact. "With that out of the way. I'm here to make an offer from the American sector of the Union of United Super Heroes. Would you consider registering and become an official hero of Ruststone?"
Hogan sat next to Mieke looking a little more green than normal, the trip over hand not treated his stomach well. Thankfully they weren't going to be driving again any time soon as they had some brothers to bring in. Hogan couldn't help but stare at the river they were oh so close to, the croc groaned a little knowing he wasn't allowed to jump into the water. It was at about this point that Leonard started to lay out his plan. Leonard had forged documents to help them get in without raising the eyebrows of too many staff members, though each lanyard would only work once which complicated things.

Leonard suggested they stay in a group which sounded reasonable, though Hogan knew his presence made this whole procedure much harder than it would normally be... Hopefully they could get back stage quickly, that'd make Hogan's attention grabbing nature much less problematic. Hogan went to stand up when Mieke asked if they should go in before or after the show, Hogan preferred the latter. Letting out a quiet rumble Hogan took a few steps forward before looking back at everyone and gesturing with his head towards the center of performing arts, hopefully the monkeys would understand...

Silvia trembled as she heard Eyeblight creeping ever closer then the sound of... Gas! The sound quickly changed to a much more lethal sound, like that of a flamethrower. Opening her eyes she saw Eyeblight out of his breaker form, he was running and screaming in pain as parts of his flesh burnt and blackened. The villain was going for the hole in the wall trying to escape, Silvia wasn't about to let that happen. Jutting out her foot she curled her talons, trying to catch Eyeblight by the leg to stop his retreat. Whether or not the claws connected Silvia would stop dead as the sirens sounded off, Behemoth was coming.

Scrambling to her feet she'd look at the girl who'd toasted Eyeblight but she'd not be able to bring herself to make eye contact. "Go! Get out of here I'll finish up here, thank you for the a-assist by the way." Silvia would then call out the window, "Outsider! We need to get this monster locked up!"

While people were doing some talking Mire wasn't doing a lot of listening, she was far more interested in getting the glowing shit off of her face. She let out a howl of anger and started clawing at her own face, making her fingers into razor sharp blades. She cleaved parts off of her face mist visible leaking out of the gashes, this rather brutal method seemed to be working as she flayed the glowing muck from her face along with most of her head. Only when the majority of her head was no longer on did Mire stop and let herself reform, the glowing orbs that were her eyes instantly fixated on Firefly. "You!"

Mire's right arm morphed into a massive barbed pike, she wasted no time in launching a stab in Firefly's direction. Not even the sirens were going to stop her from killing this fucker.
Insert spook. I am very interest.

Sylph catching a glimpse of the kinds in the closet and upon seeing that she knew she had to get Eyeblight out of this particular room if she wanted to enact her current plan. "Luckily" for her Eyeblight was already heading straight for her, so all Silvia had to do was backpedal into the bedroom she'd just come from and then try and enact her plan. Though as she took a step back Eyeblight's command to look at him worked on Silvia. The agonising fear caused her to slip up and tumble backwards, falling into the bedroom and landing on her back. Sylph frantically scrambled backwards, her resolve finally shattered. "N-no! Get away!" Silvia cried as she raised her hands to cover her face, she couldn't hold out against his power any longer. Though with her eyes no longer focusing on Eyeblight her wind barrier started reforming, though at the moment it'd feel like a hairdryer.
Eileen was about to walk towards Azai and her de-powered mecha when an unknown burst from the trees, weapon drawn. Eileen powered up her mechs beam knuckles and crossing them in front of herself defensively, Eileen narrowed her eyes and waited. Eileen eased up after the newcomer asked to hear what Eileen's intentions were, Eileen then casually shut of her beam knuckles and dropped her defensive stance. "I've been sent here to rescue you. You were attacked by the natives I presume?" Eileen popped open her cockpit, the head of her mecha slowly opening up. Eileen stood up in and flexed her wings, hopefully this would make it pretty clear she was part of the same monster girl program. "There are others coming as we speak, we've brought some extra fuel to get any offline mechs operational again. You can turn off you sword now..." Eileen would then sit back down and close the cockpit of her mecha.

Eileen took a quick moment to look around not spotting any other mechs in the area. "Is the rest of your squad with you?" Eileen sent out a signal to everyone else to makes sure they got the message that she'd found the survivors, well a few of them at least.
