As they heavily armored man and woman sprinted away from the oncoming horde, the Taguel approached -having transitioned into her bestial form- and offered to carry the man and the woman to safety. As the man declined the notion, Jo-Anne turned and attacked the nearest Risen-

felling the creature as it groans from the assault. However, due to her attempt to save the wayward people, she draws the attention of a few nearby Risen.

Their mindless assault misses the nimble creature. As the escape continues, Erion bolts forward on his chocobo assaulting the Risen that had assailed Jo-Anne-

His strike hits it's target, though the creature merely lifts his axe to swipe at the moogle- missing as his blade swings high and over the creatures head. As the horde now begins to converge upon the Boco and his rider-

though they escape the assault with only minor damage.

As Gabranth and the woman continue their sprint towards towards town, the woman continues to shout for aid.

@Eklispe

As the events of the battle begins to unfold, Holliander curses loudly as the taguel and the chocobo rider speed off, "Those damned fools! They'll be dead before the creatures even hit the city!" Turning his attention back to the troops, he'd lift up his sword, "We cannot use the Summoner now. Get ready for the charge!" All around the Myrmidon, a sudden unease grew.

"No summoner... What are we going to do!," a soldier called out from behind Arus.

"Why not just fire upon the fools?! No point in saving them if they have a deathwish!" shouted another.

"Enough!" Holliander spoke, a sudden bright flash of light erupting from what seemed to be a common sword. All at once, the masses fell silent. It's now apparent to Arus just how respected the 'Sword Saint' was, his commanding voice seeming to echo over the sounds of combat in the distance, "It we shared that mentaility, half of you would be joining the ranks of the undead by now! It is with the light of God that we now strike at the monsters that threaten our world and those who would assault our home!"

Rounding his chocobo towards the horde once more, the man would thrust out his sword as his voice bellowed out, "Charge!" before sprinting off. All at once, the soldiers around Arus shouted at the top of their lungs, beginning to rush forward onto the battlefield.

Arus gains 15 Char XP, Arus gains 5 Job xp

@Lugia

Seeing his traveling companion in danger, Robert began firing of spells into the distant horde-

Felling the one assaulting the odd rabbit woman, and injuring the one assaulting Erion. All around him, he can hear the sounds of bows being loosed and spells firing off, however the summoner merely stands there, eyeing over the battle as the forces before the city gates charge out the meet the horde, "I don't like this..." his says loud enough for Robert to hear, idly thumbing over his tome, "I don't like this at all."

@Lugia

In the process of getting the IC up. But I do have a question for you. Is Robert firing at all of them, or focusing one down?
Having remained in silence since meeting the Interrogator, Rodrick's gaze now focused on the wooden idol in his hand as his thumb lightly tread over the smooth timber. In the back of his mind, he missed his home-world, but the Emperor had need of him on this world. If the Inquisition truly believed there was someone here attempting to overthrow the All-Father of the Imperium and incite chaos, Rodrick would be the sword to rend through the heretics and blasphemers.

As they arrived at their destination, Rodrick tucked his idol into his robes once more, eyeing over the Arbite as he made his proclamation and departed from the group. Though he didn't have much experience with the man or his order- he couldn't help but feel his impetuous nature would be his down fall. Still, he kept silent, standing from his seat as he stepped off the transport and eyed over his surroundings.

"Well... We've been brought here for a reason. No reason to dawdle. The sooner we unveil this threat, the sooner we can put them down and be done with this- 'planet'." It's obvious that Rodrick did not care for this place, nor did he make an attempt to hide it, "If the Arbite is so confident in his want to search for the sister, than w-"

His speech would be cut short as the guardsman spoke, his eyes cutting to Holland, narrowing into a hated stare, "Careful, guardsman. A loose tongue can be the downfall of a man."
As Nero made his way through the door, his stance would be loose and relaxed. Though not completely unafraid, any sort of unnecessary tension in his muscles would only slow down his reactions. At least- that's what Yuffie taught him back on Hollow Bastion. As the visage of the heartless came into view, that's all Nero could think of was his former home, gripping the hilt of his keyblade tighter as that anger he held inside him began to bubble over. Yet, another vision would soon change his demeanor, as his eyes set on a familiar form.

"Leon!" In a rush of excitement, he began rushing towards one of his heros. Having grown up on the same world as the gunsword-wielding man, Nero had idolized Leon for his strength and his resolve to continue fighting. How they both came to be upon this world would merely be a question in the back of Nero's mind, more concerned now on just getting to the man. It was then he noticed the bigger heartless, unsure of the name- though taking not it was well armored and seemed to be an amalgamation of different pieces all separate and hovering about a central form.

Though Leon had ordered him to fall back, Nero could just leave him alone, "I'll take out one of the arms!" Taking a brief moment to turn his head to the others, "If you can, take out the ranged ones. The less there are, the less we have to worry about." With his attention turned back to the heartless, Nero would rush of, leaping into the air as his blade struck out at the same arm that Leon had parried not a moment before.
This mornings actions had all but taken their toll on Nathan, seeing him briskly pick up the part to his dismantled comrade and rush off to the nearest work bench. He seemed to not recognize anything else around him, only grabbing what tools he needed before working in dead silence. If he had been beaten by the captain, he would've preferred it- having spent years being beaten an broken by his former captors, but being without Faris: his one true friend through out those dark days? That was more than he could bear. This work would continue for continue for awhile, seeming to take great care in the reconstruction.

"Damnit, Faris. I told you," Nathan whispered under his breath, fitting the mother board in place on it's on both the top and bottom side of the board before them in place, "That was too close... Remind me to start revamping your AI." Then it was back to the silence, his creation slowly taking on the look of it's former form. In about two hours time, the reconstructed Faris sat before him- though still idle upon the counter as his mechanical limbs lay sprawled out from his central body. Yet, as he let out a sigh of relief, one could tell Nathan was almost hesitant to reactivate his companion. 'The board and memory hit the ground pretty hard... What if he damaged a circuit or capacitor? Granted I could find another one later, but I'd have to completely rewrite his programming. It wouldn't be the same Faris," These thoughts would echo inside the mechanics mind as he continued to look down.

"Well... Here goes nothing," Reaching over, he fastened the last bit of cabling to the motherboard and sealed up the body with one final screw. Pausing for a moment, his hand would raise to the communicator beside his head, pressing along the side as the device lit up with a bright blue light, "Faris, wake up." He spoke aloud into the come just shy of the corner of his mouth. No response.

"Faris. Wake up." Still nothing

In a small fit of rage, he'd slam his fist upon the bench on either side of the creation, now yelling into the mic, "Faris! GET UP!" As if provoked by his anger, the little automaton lept to it's feet, and began skittering around as if looking for something. As it's optical sensor slowly rounded towards the form of it's master; the little machine would move it's self to Nathan's hand, and begin climbing up to his shoulder. For the first time since he had began working, it seemed that Nathan was completely at ease now, "I shold've left you disassembled. Giving me a heart-attack like that."
The idea of this rp is to let you play whatever character you wish from this combined universe, in the way that you want. As such, I don't want anyone to feel left out or neglected. It's supposed to be the story of your characters struggles against this ominous enemy, and how they turned the tide in the war... Well with any bit of luck of course. The idea of implementing class and character levels is to create a dynamic experience where your character grows in accordance to their actions. A warrior may slay an enemy, and that awards him experience in his field; yet without reason or purpose, his character doesn't really grown. The opposite is true, where your character may act on his personality (not necessarily his class) and the opposite effect happens. If you've noticed, I've been taking events from your posts and adding them as modifiers to the consequences of your actions. You're encouraged to act out your character in whatever way you feel he would act like, and see if his actions are rewarded. That being said, I don't want you to portray the outcome, because it will negate chances for the story to direct your characters down certain paths; or the others the chance to come to your aid when needed. Your characters are not omnipotent, and will need the help of others.

Example: If Arus merely strikes an enemy, he'll net damage, but nothing more... However, if he positions himself to the enemy's flank, or combos with another character- he'll achieve more than he ever would on his own. Now this doesn't mean that every action will be done with the assistance of allies, because let's face it- some of your characters are bound to be more impetuous than the others- but when the timing seems appropriate, use your friends.

This rp is to simulate the enviroment of a game or story using this setting, and seeing your characters grow within this world. I've enjoyed the effort you've all put into this so far, and will continue to do my best to provide whatever feels like a enjoyable experience.
... damn phone
This combat will likely see everyone level at least once, and the needed XP will raise, but mobs will provide more xp. I thank you for the suggestion though. And as for you question: you'll be given 15 points every character level to increase your stats. You can spend 5 of those points to buy a new personal trait, and it costs 1 point increase your base stats. At every job level, you unlock a new ability for your class (or you can exchange it for 5 more Stat points).

Basic classes can be switched to whenever the character has a chance to train with another of that class (squires, warriors, etc) and just list that you've changed under your post. Personal skills will tranfer, but class skills will only carry over to advancements of that class (a squire to a knight as example) but will be lost if you change to an unlike job (knight to mage).

Weapons can be forged/purchased from towns when out combat. I've been thinking of implementing a currency system, but have been hesitant to do so, where as relying on luck to act as "do you happen to have picked up enough in your travels", but Evans seems to not care for that so... *shrugs*

I know this is not perfect, and as such, I'm trying to think of ways I can change it for the better. Feel free to bring the questions and suggestions coming
No replacements in Ivalice, but your luck might effect finding some on other Ylissian caravans, or on Risen and Bandits from ylisse. But since it's part of your loadout, using the beast stone is a free action in relation to making an attack.
Won't be able to post today, have a rogue trader game tonight. Just have Rodrick follow the sister or go to the temple. Did I also forget to tell you most of my dms use my characters as plot vait? (Aka, you can npc him this post if needed)
