Screeching halt.
Throwing in the towel on this one. Thank you to all those who particpated. If you'd like to use this setting, or would like to use the stat system and combat formulas, feel free. I know I've been in an out alot, and I do apologize for this... But it was fun, and I'm glad I made something you seemed to enjoy for what little time it was around.

Thank you to:

Masa merely smiled at her response, falling silent for a moment as his gaze shifted slightly downwards. Mulling over her words for a moment, he'd begin to wonder about the truth to her words. Sure enough, no one aside from his family ever stopped to check on him, no one ever asked or was concerned about his well being. How long had this cycle been going on? Shaking his head free from the thoughts for a moment, he'd return his gaze to her, continuing a casual conversation all the while pouring over his thoughts from a moment before. The meeting came to a close, Masa bowing politely as Shizuka left. Sitting down to his empty cup, he'd withdraw his phone as he flipped it open once more. He continued to stare at his phone for just a minute longer before dialing something in.

Yeah... Sorry. Just not very used to having others to count on. His message to his cousin sent, and his gaze now staring out of the shop; and his mind lost in his own thoughts. Masahide was never a very introspective person... But now he actually stopped to think about it all.

"So, how's things since I left?" Yamato asked tentatively, his voice resounding from Masa's cellphone as the dark haired male traversed the city streets. Having blown off several requests, Masa had decided to take the evening off to just relax for the first time in awhile. The city streets didn't seem to have much to mention, just scattered people walking to their venues all seeming to be distracted just as Masa was. Still, he took no notice beyond that as his attention was focused upon his cousin.

"Going alright. Taking the day off, probably going to hit a shop I was introduced to." Masa replied, scanning the streets for the familiar sign.

"Introduced to? You actually went out with someone?" The shock in Yamato's voice was hard to miss, "So how sick were you?"

"Wasn't. A friend of mine wanted to show me." Masa retorted, a faint smirk forming on his lips.

"I see. Which one? The dark haired girl, or the fidgety guy with the glasses?"

"Her name is Shizuka. But yes, her."

A devious chuckle resounded from the other end of the conversation, "So your first date."

Masa rolled his eyes in annoyance, "Not exactly. Had a blow out in the park, guess she wanted to lighten the mood."

"Yeah? What about?"

"... Don't worry about it." Yamato could be heard sighing on the other side, but didn't seem to want to push the issue. The back and forth continued for some time, Masa just wasting time as he roamed his city.
Liam&Matt

Liam continued to stare callously at the woman before him, taking a moment to push in his chair before moving off to the side and further into the apartment. For a moment he paused, mulling over something in his mind before chuckling to himself, "How compelling... You are a true virtuoso aren't you? Rebelling against conformity and 'the man'-" At this point, his tone was clearly of a mocking nature, turning back to face her once more, "But for every farm road you race down, you risk running into a family that's just trying to make it home. Every chain you break makes it harder for the rest of us to support the weight of your ignored responsibilities. That's the mentality of a child. Not thinking beyond 'I just want to have fun' and not thinking of how it effects the others about you. How long have you been struggling in your life, hmm? How long has it taken for you to get a break or find success?" He gave no time for her to answer as he began to approach her, "Ever stop to think that it might be your choices coming back to haunt you? Think it's your responsibilities catching up to you? Of course not! You're to tanked to even consider it, and would instead like to blame it on 'the man'."

At this point, he took a moment to straighten his tie, standing just within arms length of the woman, "Like I said, I've had to face people like you before. Want to take the easy way out and 'enjoy life', and try to look down on everyone who's trying to make something of themselves. Yet when things seem to come crashing around you, and you can't fend for yourself; who do you turn to? Of course the people who've actually made something of their lives. Look at this place? When do you hope to enjoy luxury and ease of life? When do you want to enjoy peace in your life instead of having to stay above water? Since we're asking me, I'd bet on never. You're just another fool who defines their self by the troubles they've been through and not the problems they've solved."

At this point, the air in the room began to grow slightly, actually enough to make hair sway and empty cans slide upon the table. Small particles of dust began to accumlate and show in the air, seeming to accumulate around Liam as he spoke out like a disappointed father. Matt narrowed his eyes slightly, remaining silent still. It was then his eyes cut to Sam, widening slightly in surprise, though in reaction to what, no one could tell.

@Kiroue
Since birth. She has a rare and severe case of muscular-distrophy that's led to a malformed lung. Alot of pneumonia and shit besides... think she's been hospitalized 15 or more time in her 7 years.
Daughter has a long list of medical problems. Had a fit with pnuemonia and it hit her pretty hard, but she's mostly over it now. Just medication and breathing treatments.
Yeah, daughter was in the hospital for a week. Had to stay there with her until she was well enough to be discharged.
Posting tomorrow.
