((Part 3 of a collab between Letter Bee, Kalas, and Watermelon Tango))
"What have you done?!" Constantine yelled at Pamela once Aster had disappeared. "I had the situation well in hand, no one would have gotten hurt!" Except for that bigot; I want his entrails. "Now, thanks to you, that...that asshole now has the mayor!"
"I'm sorry, but there was a murderous lunatic, an explosive, and a child." Pam said defensively. "I only acted according to my training."
She turned to the family huddled in the corner and slowly made her way towards them. Despite all of the emotional turmoil she went through over since she arrived at the theatre she tried her best to have a calm and reassuring demeanor.
"Is everyone here alright?"
"Everything's fine..." spoke the Mayor's wife, now in better composure. "Thanks for saving Robin, by the way." She then turned to Constantine. "And thank you, for trying to save my husband."
"I'm sorry for all the distress that man caused you Mrs. Johanssen," replied the man. "I promise you, we'll get your husband back; or if not, we'll have the hide of the man who abducted him."
"Promises, promises," spoke Mrs. Johanssen. "Either way, thanks again, but you'd best go; more security is coming, and they won't want any misunderstandings."
"I can't leave you alone here. Not until I'm certain that the perimeter is clear." Pam thought for a moment, but remembered the gun she was still carrying. She took a few steps forward and placed it in the mother's hands.
"Just... take this to protect yourselves until security arrives." She said solemly as she backed out of the room. She nodded to her new friend, signalling that she was ready to get out of here.
"Let's go," spoke Constantine more kindly as he escorted Pamela out of the door as Mrs. Johanssen loudly wept, her reserve breaking at last. Once they were in a safe place, they met up again with Healing Spore, who had been waiting in one of the side corridors. Then, Constantine spoke:
"Sorry for being too harsh on you; it's just that, I was enraged by that man's presumption - telling me to join him when it should be the opposite...and other things besides. I shouldn't have blamed you for this."
"Think nothing of it. That was one of the most tense situations I have ever been in. The stress has gotten to all of us." Pam paused, realizing that she didn't even know this young man's name.
"The name is Pamela Mars. Technically I'm an illegal immigrant on American soil, but we'll keep that on the hush." She said with a friendly tone. She offered him a hand, but it was shaky from the stress and the minor injuries she had taken during the explosion.
"Constantine Ramiel King - FBI Agent," he took her hand in turn. "Nice to meet you."

To add more to the summary Letter Bee just constructed, the first Arc dealt with the Heroes trying to protect a gang leader named Vincent Caro who possessed information on over 2000 mercs. The mercs quickly got alerted and were either instructed to kill or break Caro out. Elijah, AcerRo's character, was one of the mercs who pulled an assassination attempt on him, but thanks to Nightingale's, Cedric's and William's intervention, Caro got off easy (if you call third-degree burns easy). In the meanwhile, Cypress, the Aparture poster girl, was in pursuit of Elijah's partner, Ruby, who had earlier raided one of Aparture's assets. She finally managed to track Ruby and they argued the shit out of each other in the rooftop. Unbeknownst to Cypress, Ruby had alerted Aparture and minutes later they came in, guns blazing, and captured both Ruby and Cypress.Nightingale held a grudge against Aparture, so she decided to join Elijah and lay vengeance on them. Cedric caught them make a deal and came to the realization that Nightingale had defected. Somewhere off-screen, the TV man was taping everything.A few feet below Aparture was a high-security prison, in which Constantine and Alto, a government meta and a merc, broke in and rescued Cypress. Ruby was offered to join Aparture, and she accepted. That was the conclusion of Arc 1.I know it's already past us, but the second Arc is more like an indirect continuation of the first Arc, so it's important to know both.Also, Alec was never invited to guard the protesters.On a completely unrelated side-note, I think I found this RP's theme song;

The riot was an Anti-Metahuman protest that was made much worse by the fact that the instigator of the Anti-Metahuman protests hired a Meta (Aster) to kill several of the protesters rioting, as well as the policemen keeping order. Before this, Gary Stuart, my NPC, tried to hire several Metas (Pamela/Twist and Dean/Bojangles) to protect the protesters; he guessed that the Walt Disney Concert Hall was going to be the focal point for an attack, because, well, it's Disney. However, the Metas he hired failed spectacularly, and Aster got away, and was then ordered to abduct the mayor and take him...somewhere.
In the immediate aftermath, Ruby, a Technopath given Power Armor by the Big Bad, attacked the FBI headquarters in LA and blew it up, killing many people. Cedric, one of my PCs, as well as William, an NPC, survived, and Cedric now vows revenge.
Alec, another Metahuman who was asked to protect the protesters, refused to do so and instead began investigating on his own. He'll join the Heroes soon.
So, yeah, Chaos.
And, finally, in the aftermath, Martial Law would be called, throwing things in further disarray for the Heroic Metas and the Internal Reformist movement. So, yeah, the good guys are in a bind.
