Bio

Roleplay topics of interest: Pokémon is a big one. The canon of the main series games specifically, though I'm cool with a few select points from the anime thrown in. I'm also a big fan of the Mystery Dungeon universe. I'm good with RP'ing as a Trainer, but I can handle playing a Pokémon too. I prefer to have alot of interactions between the characters in an RP. I enjoy to flesh things out and give my character actual 'character'. Original worlds? Eh, I'm ok with as long as I got alot of background to them.

Recently, I've been in the mood to try RP in other series/fandoms, so if I can be sold on an idea, I'll probably look into it. Let it be known that I'm not into anything 18+ or sexual in nature. It's just not my thing.

Roleplay style: For each post that I make, I write about a paragraph or two. I try to include a bit of environmental detail, physical character detail, and sometimes delve into the mind of my characters to see what they think about the situation at hand. I'm trying to get better at expressing my characters emotion through body language since I tend to run out of descriptive words after a few posts. Most of my characters will most likely be teen aged or occasionally young adult. I also try to keep my characters male, but I can play a girl well enough.

Timezone: I feel this is an important thing to mention. My timezone is EST (GMT/UTC-5). During pretty much every month of the year baring July, August, and the later half of December, I'll be going though school during the week. So I'll most likely be able to get posts out on the weekends or later in the day when I get home.

Devon stood near the bridge on the rivers edge next to Dylan, staring at his reflection in the liquid until Dylan spoke up. The Mudkip now much more enthusiastic about the water made the Totodile smile as he turned his head to look at Dylan. "You ain't felt nothing yet! Jump in! It feels about a million times better then just dipping your foot in!"

With a shout, Devon hopped off of the bank and into the river. Disappearing under the surface for a few moments before his head shot back up and spat out a bit of water. "Aaaaahhh this is awesome." Glancing at Lulu and her friends, Devon then gestured a claw at the Mud Fish on the bank. "By the way everyone, this Mudkip over here is Dylan. He just got here last night like me and the Mawile, Celty."

The blue lizard then flopped onto his back to float on the surface of the river. Getting lost in it's smooth embrace. It took him a bit to look down his stomach at Dylan. Devon still wore the happy smile. "Oh yeah! You wanted to ask me something earlier right Dylan? When we were still at the guild? You got cut off before I could hear it. You wanna ask me now?"

Devon looked upon the sheepish Mudkip once he explained the situation, taking a quick glance at Celty before nodding slowly. "Sure. I was actually curious about these 'Mystery Dungeons' myself. I'd like to hear about em later Dylan."

The concerned Totodile's attention was now fully upon Celty as she spoke up. The deep frown on his face only fading slightly as the Mawile badly hid her anguish. She doesn't look very fine.....Why does talking about Mystery Dungeons bother her so much?....She was even crying.....I...I probably shouldn't bring it up again....

Finally, Devon managed a grin as he beamed at both Celty and Dylan. Seeming to approve of the Mawile's suggestion. "Yeah! The water's super warm today! Come on! Let's go!" With that said, the reptile spun around on his heel and began to walk back down the bridge. Turning towards both Dylan and Celty once he reached the end and gesturing for them to follow.

Shock simply shrugged once at the Arcanine once she attempted to turn to him of all Pokémon for advice on how Shaymin's flight was even possible. <You're asking me? Heck if I know! Shaymin do a bunch of stuff with plants so it's a good bet that they're Grass-type, but I dunno about them being Psychic-typed....And I guess some Psychics can fly? Chimecho can fly.>

Devon grinned once both Lily and Brent spoke their goals, and Sirina offered to travel together with them. "That's a pretty tough goal you two, but it looks like you guys got some serious determination. I'm sure with a bit of time, you guys will take down the League no problem. I'd be up for travelling with you guys too if'd you'd want me." The teen then held up his white single strapped backpack and punched it. Causing a muffled Pomph sound to come from it. "And it may not look it, but I can carry alot of crap in this bag. I don't think we'll need to worry about running out of supplies if we stay smart with em." Turning to Pent, the brown haired boy gestured a thumb to the other three kids near him. "Yo Pent, you up for travelling with Lily and Brent? They seem cool."

Cyan let out a happy giggle once Shaymin seemed to perk up once again. The little Marill bouncing the end of her tail on the floor as she smiled at the mythical Pokémon. <Yay! You'll see! It's not that bad once you look at the bright side Shaymin!>

Once Cyndaquil and Chikorita made their appearance and spoke about being tiny, Shock grinned and strolled over to the two Pokémon. The Ampharos towering over the two much younger Pokémon. He took his right flipper and tapped it on his chest as he looked down at them both with his stupid grin. <Don't worry kids, you won't be tiny forever! Until you get bigger though, try to avoid being stepped on. Take my word for it, it sucks. I'm Shock by the way!>

Quill groaned a bit at Shock's awkward greeting, and waved at the two Johto starters with a slight smile. <I'm uh, I'm Quill.>

Cyan did a short spin on one foot before waving at Cyndaquil and Chikorita. <I'm Cyan! Nice to meet you too!>

Missy seemed to be busy staring off into the lunchroom, but the Mismagius finally came back to greet the new faces with a twisted smile.<Hello Cyndaquil, Chikorita. I'm sorry I've been a bit...Distracted lately.>

After a good fifteen seconds of intense slashing towards all of the other Pokémon in the river, Devon finally stopped his watery assault. A large toothy grin on his face as he floated there up right in the water panting. "Ha....Ha....H-Had enough yet guys? Do you surrender?"

The Totodile was soon distracted from his joy, and slowly looked up at the edge of the bridge with a frown stealing his features. Dylan still hasn't come down here yet.....And why's Celty just sitting there all hunched up? Is something going on? His hearing being quite effective, the little crocodile attempted to listen in on Dylan and Celty's conversation to no avail. The sounds of Lulu and the others playing around him distracting his auditory senses. ....Maybe I'll just go up there and check it out real quick.... Turning towards the bank, the small Water-type swiftly swam to the edge of the river and climbed out of it. Calling back to everyone else to make sure they didn't clue in. "I'll be back guys I uh....Gotta take a leak."

Devon made his way to the end of the bridge, and peered across it to spot a few things. A Riolu and Chimchar sitting together up in a tree over looking the river, no doubt Rico and Zaru. And of course, a Mudkip hovering over a depressed looking Mawile near the side of the bridge. Slowly strolling up behind the two, Devon wore a frown as he looked over both Celty and Dylan. "Hey....Is everything ok? What's the matter?"

Devon somewhat paused as he looked down at the large steely bird laying on the ground near Pent. Watching it's chest move slowly up and down, the teen stared in a somewhat confused manor. "Uh....Is that Jill's thing Pent? Sleeping? Is that seriously all she does?....Kind of a boring life if you ask me."

Sirina was as blown away by the rare sight as he was. Devon raised a finger and smiled to address the brown haired girls confusion as to why she might have never seen a Shaymin before. "Shaymin are totally rare! It's really hard to find one nowadays, but they're around. A Shaymin was actually the Pokémon that brought all of the plant life to a town in Sinnoh; Floaroma."

Shock stared a bit too long at Shaymin as she answered his question. <See that....What's with all these Pokémon that can fly without wings man? I feel ripped off.>

Quill frowned somewhat and nodded once Shaymin addressed his curiosity. The flame on the end of the Monferno's tail crackling quietly. <Yes, I think he was talking about your unique move....And partners?...I can understand that. For a rare Pokémon like you, finding a trusting human is the best way to go.>

Hearing the Grass-Flying types story made a cloud of depression fall upon Devon's Pokémon. Cyan's face drooped in a true frown as she looked up at the sad Shaymin on Lily's shoulder. <I'm sorry....Humans are usually nice about letting Pokémon keep their territory but...It might be different here. It's not fair that they did that....> The Marill's expression then slowly brightened. As always, Cyan attempted to find a silver lining in the situation. <At least you have Lily now right? She seems nice.>

Devon shifted uncomfortably as he viewed Shaymin retreat to Lily's shoulder, and decided to change subjects. "So uh...Lily, Brent, what are your plans? Lily mentioned her Mom being a Gym Leader, so are you both taking on Viore's Gym circuit? Was kinda thinking about challenging it myself if I got the chance. I'm only here for awhile with my Dad."

Devon once again noted Dylan's hesitation, but simply shrugged it off. Linking it to the possibility of shyness. Bet he's just shy in front of all the girls around here....He'll warm up to em.....Hopefully. I'll check on him in a few.

He didn't really have time to think about that now however. A 'Sharpedo' was swiftly approaching him from his right. This playful advance by Milton caused the reptile to smirk at the disguised Zorua. "Ohhoho! Bad idea! This is my turf!"

Devon quickly rolled over onto his stomach to stay floating on the waters surface, and proceeded to rapidly kick his feet and swish his tail to create large waves that rolled towards Milton. Laughing as he stirred up the water. "HAHA! FEEL THE WRATH OF THE TOTODILE!" Busying himself with the splashing, he was still oblivious to everything going on the bridge above him.

Brent's mention of his brother's breeding misadventures caused Devon to laugh a bit. "Oh shit. Bet that was a pain in the ass." Then Lily's answer to his question caused the boy to turn back to her. "Eterna's pretty nice. I have friend there that actually does some breeding too."

Sirina came rolling back into the kitchen, and Devon waved her over to the table with a smile on his face. "Hey Sirina! Grab a spot! Lily and Brent are pretty cool! I've never met anyone with a Pokémon as rare as something like Shaymin before!"

Devon then began to notice most of everyone's Pokémon getting friendly with each other, and once Spud came over with his dopey smile, waved at the Water-Ground type before looking down at his pockets. "Crap. Should probably let everyone out too...."

In an instant, the teen had taken out four Pokéball's from his hoodie pockets. One by one he pressed the release buttons, causing a Monferno, a Mismagius, a Marill, and an Ampharos with some sort of sliver band and multi-colored stone around it's neck to materialize next to their table.

The teen waved at his teammates and wore a slightly guilty grin. "Hey guys. Guess we aren't leaving quite yet. We met some new people at least! They even got a Shaymin!"

Shock yawned a bit, the Ampharos rubbing the sleep out of his eye's as his head tilted up to view Shaymin floating among Sirina's party. <Whoa, a Shaymin? You sure? I thought they were supposed to be....I dunno, rounder? Tinier? Eh, whatever. I'm Shock.>

Quill the Monferno focused his gaze upon the flying canine like creature as he crossed his arms. Giving somewhat of an odd smile. <I'm Quill. Professor Rowan was always talking about you guys Shaymin. Your power is pretty special. What are you doing around here? Is one of these kids your Trainer?>

Missy still looked abit distracted as she looked over the group, the Mismagius being the total opposite of the Marill as the tiny blue mon bounced over onto one of the tables benches near everyone else. <Oh! A Shaymin! I always wanted to see one! Hi! I'm Cyan! Are you more common around here?>

Once Celty explained to him the concept of currency, Devon played with the little gold Poké coin between his claws and stared at it with a somewhat strained face. "Yeah it makes sense. Buying stuff....I think I remember doing that alot...."

The Totodile didn't have very much time to ponder the thought of past transactions, as a Zorua covered in paint seem to just randomly splash onto the scene. Literally. Milton's yelling caught Devon off guard, and forced him to quickly swim away from the fox's point of impact in the water so as to not get flattened. "WHOA!"

The Tricky Fox popped back out from below the water with the most happy, dopey smile Devon had ever seen. He couldn't help but return the friendly gesture with a toothy smile of his own. "Hey Milton. Nice day huh?"

Milton then mentioned that Devon's new found change was apparently special. This caused the little croc to stare at the coin in his palm once again smile slightly. "It's supposed to bring me luck then?" Tossing the coin in the air, he then caught it once again with his other hand. "Let's hope that's true. I could use some good luck right about now."

Then Lulu's gang made an appearance as well, and just before Devon could answer her question, the hoard of little girls descended upon the river and sent plenty more move splashing around the Totodile. Causing a bit of water to get in his mouth and make him cough. "Ugh...Hey everyone. Lulu! Looks like you're feeling alot better! Not even falling off a cliff can keep you down huh? Oh uh, I'm Devon, if you didn't hear it from anyone else yet." With the greetings, Devon gave a short wave to the girls and a grin.

Milton then made some sort of reference to something called a 'Monster House'. Of course this entire concept went over Devon's head. The Water-type simply stared with a blank expression at the Zorua child. "Uh....'Monster house'? Sorry, I'm dumb, what are those?"

Thankfully Milton explained the concept to those who weren't in the know, and Devon nodded slowly at the explanation. "Oooooh. That's what that is. Ok, I uh...Think I got it now. Thanks Milton." That was totally a lie.

Blinking still, Devon returned to floating on his back as he stared at the clouds above him. Lost in his thoughts. I keep hearing about these 'Mystery Dungeons' too.....What are they? It seems like they're pretty common knowledge around here....I'm probably gonna look like even more of idiot if I ask....Especially with all of these girls around....Last thing I want is to be the laughing stock of town....Maybe I'll ask Celty later when there's less Pokémon around....

As Milton began to bug them with his Sharpedo illusion, Devon looked over at the slowly approaching shark and snickered. His raspy voice loaded with sarcasm as he too seemed to be amused by the display. "Oh no! A big scary Sharpedo is gonna eat us! What will we do!?" The prank seemed to somewhat remind Devon of someone, but the thought soon fled his mind as he looked back up at the lip of the bridge to spot both Dylan and Celty both still standing there watching them all swim. His deep brown eye's shot to the Mudkip standing close to the Mawile as he waved at the other Water-type. "Hey Dylan! You ok? You've been spacing out there for awhile! Come swimming with us dude! Don't be a lameo!"

Celty questioned him of his familiarity of the place, and Devon simply shrugged in response. "I guess it's just....All the activity going on around here.....I just feel like I've been in a place this busy before. It might have been another village? And as for how I got here, that's a great question that I still don't got an answer to."

Devon's head turned back to the statue as Celty explained it to be of something called the 'Swords of Justice'. Of course the amnesiac Totodile had absolutely no clue who they were, but the info was interesting none the less. "Huh. Cool. I might ask around about that later." The blue crocodile moved his legs as they dangled over the edge of the bridge. His gaze focused on two Furret tossing a ball back and forth to each other on in the plaza, but the scene soon grew stale as something gleamed in the corner of his eye. Devon's head tilted downwards to peer into the stream lazily running beneath him to spot some sort of shiny object at the bottom of the river bed. "Hey, what's that shiny thing down there in the water?.....Hang on, I'm gonna go grab it."

Like lightning, the Totodile had already taken a deep breath and pushed himself off of the edge of the bridge to fall into the water with a loud SPLASH! The river was deeper then it looked, and Devon was now a few feet down under the liquid as he looked around below him to spot the shiny item once again. The water actually felt really relaxing, and was pretty warm too. With surprising speed and grace, the Water-type kicked his feet and swished his tail to dive deep down onto the river bed. Snatching the little object into his claws and quickly racing back up, Devon popped his scaly head out of the surface of the water with a satisfying sigh. "Ah....This feels great! Who needs naps when you can take a dip?"

He then looked up to the edge of the bridge above him to spot Celty and Dylan peering down at him. The Totodile gave a grin in response, and began to float on his back as he gestured to the two Pokémon. "You guys should come in! It's fun! Oh! And check out what I found down there!" He then proceeded to hold up his right arm, revealing a small, gold metal disc with the letter 'P' stamped onto it.

Devon wore a face of confusion as he looked between both Dylan and Celty. "Do you guys know what this little piece of metal is? Cause I don't."

Valiant Village, Spirit's Guild

Devon listened intently to Celty discus what moves he and Dylan could possibly perform, and once his jaws were brought up, the Totodile frowned a bit in confusion. "Water Gun and Bite?....Would be the best bet I guess. But let's just worry about that later. Let's head into town!" As Celty and Dylan made their way out of the guild, the Big Jaw Pokémon sort of lagged behind a bit as he practised opening his mouth wide, then slamming his jaws together with incredible force. ....Guess I know Bite then. How is opening and closing your mouth supposed to be a move? I don't get it. With that said, he picked up the pace to catch up with his two companions.

Valiant Village, Central Plaza

Devon followed along swiftly behind Celty along with Dylan as they made their way through the marvel that was Valiant Village. The excited Totodile's head shooting to every angle as he took in the surroundings of many busy Pokémon going about their day on the cobblestone streets. "This place is pretty nice. And there's so much going here. So many Pokémon running around doing stuff....It feels...I dunno, familiar?" Devon's head continued to track across the quaint little village until his vision rested upon a bridge. Made out of the same cobblestone as the streets, the peaceful river flowing underneath it's two arches seeming to attract Devon. The reptile pointed at it with a single claw as he spoke up. "Hey guys! We should check out that bridge! I bet we could get a good view of everything too! Come on!" With that said, Devon raced ahead of both Dylan and Celty as he ran halfway across the bridge before skidding to a halt. The Water-type then plopped down on the edge of the stone structure and let his feet dangle upon the river as he looked upon Central Plaza with it's grand statue. Mouth agape, he pointed again and turned his head towards Celty. "Whoa....Hey Celty, what's with that statue? Who's it of?"
